“Great service and good food“

“We ate at Lilia Comedor on Friday while visiting Portland and WOW… easily one of the best meals of our whole trip. We sat at the counter for the tasting menu and every single course slapped. Super flavorful, beautifully plated, and full of fun, unique ingredient combos that actually work. Portions were way more generous than most tasting menus too — we left totally full and super happy.

You can taste how fresh and local everything is. Every dish had those big, bright flavours that just pop. Cocktails were awesome too — we tried a few and loved all of them.

Service was fantastic. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and just genuinely kind. The vibe somehow hits that perfect mix of elevated and cozy at the same time.

If you’re in Portland, go. Seriously. Absolutely worth it.“

“It was delicious!!! Rabbit, foie gras, pigs feet, escargot, halibut, eel, scallops, all the fancy sauces….SOOO good!! Every bite was just perfectly executed. The staff was so friendly and engaging which made it really fun to sit at the chef’s counter!“

“Ooh la la! Spectacular. We started with perfect Oysters on the half shell, Oeufs in hand-whipped aioli (Wow, so simple and so good, like eating the calf in its own milk!), and the amazing chicken liver mousse (the fried brioche was a little rich and threatened to overpower the exquisite pate, but everything was great). Then les gros bonnets: Duck Confit on spinach and Halibut steamed in halibut stock with snap peas and white wine sauce. The cocktails and wine special were exquisite. The service was old school perfect and prompt. (Matthew missed nothing and taught us throughout). Wow. We loved everything.

“I had a memorable dinner at Higgins Restaurant. I ordered their Oregon Mushroom Set Menu, and each dish reflected their respect for local ingredients. The wild mushroom bisque was particularly delicious, with a smooth texture and rich aroma. The waiter was very professional and attentive, explaining the background of each dish. The elegant yet relaxed atmosphere was perfect for a leisurely meal with friends or family.“

“Excellent food and drinks!“

“The Bistro Alder is the restaurant inside the Dosier Hotel and it serves delicious food and drinks. We only dined here and did not stay at the hotel. The restaurant was empty when we arrived around 9pm and were promptly greeted by a wonderful hostess who took our drink and meal orders right away since we already knew we wanted the Portland Restaurant Month meals. The food came out quickly as we were the only ones there initially. As time went on a couple small groups of 2-3 arrived and even then the hostess managed to hold down the fort to include waiting, serving, bar tending, and bussing. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and would certainly come back to enjoy a meal or a couple of drinks.“

“Some of the best food I've ever had in my life. I sit around dreaming about the beef tartar in between visits, and all the seafood is absolutely amazing. The place is very cute, and the servers are great at wine pairings with the dishes.“

“I stopped by this wine tasting room while visiting from out of town and honestly, I didn’t want to leave. The space is so warm and inviting. It immediately felt like the kind of spot I’d be a regular at if I lived nearby. Cozy, charming, and perfect for a laid-back evening or a quiet date night.

The wine selection was fabulous. I tried a few different pours and loved what I tried. And the food was absolutely delicious without trying too hard.

What really made the experience special was the staff. They were so kind and attentive. Friendly in a genuine way, not just polite. It felt like they really wanted me to enjoy myself, and I did.

I truly wish I lived closer. This would be my go-to spot. Until next time!“

“La Provence in Beaverton is our favorite location in this excellent chain, and we always enjoy their wonderful food when we are visiting the area. “This is one of the only bars in town specializing in classic cocktails and doing it well. The menu has upwards of 200 classic cocktails as well as some house originals. If you don’t feel like searching through the list, you can just describe what you like, and the bartenders will find the perfect cocktail for your taste. Don’t skip the classic French bistro cuisine, it’s amazing and very affordable. Keep in mind, they build all the cocktails from scratch instead of batching so there might be a wait, but it’s worth it!“
