“I just love Evasion Beer. it is hard to get in Eastern Oregon. I can get Hophoria year around but any other variety is hit and miss! Great Beer!“
“Super good beer!! Super chill environment. Great outdoor patio. Awesome music. Amazing staff. Conveniently located just off of 3rd street. They also currently have a rad food truck parked out front! Why isn't everyone hanging out down here?!?!“
“I have had a closet obsession with this brewery when I would visit every year or so from the Midwest when wine tasting in Willamette Valley. Fast forward a decade and now I live in Seattle near an amazing taproom who brings in Heater Allen beers (The Bine in Bothell). Life is good.“

“just visited for first time, food and service were great! thanks to server Andy! She was awesome.“
“If you are craving a sandwich, burger, or salad with a refreshing beverage, this is a place for you. We ordered the prime rib on a Saturday night. It was flavorful and moist. Our CC only critique is that we would have liked a little more variety on the menu. The service was excellent at the pub and cellar“

“Hit the McMenamins Pub, McMinnville, Oregon on a recent visit and had a Capt. Neon Burger with tots and a Dirty Shirley.
The Capt. Neon Burger shows up looking unapologetically hearty. A soft, lightly toasted bun cradles a thick, juicy beef patty cooked to a satisfying char on the outside while staying tender inside. Crisp lettuce and fresh red onion add crunch and bite, while the bacon brings smoky richness that anchors the whole stack. It’s a straightforward burger done confidently...no gimmicks, just solid execution. The toothpick through the top is a small detail, but it reinforces that classic pub-burger presentation.
The tater tots on the side are exactly what you want them to be: golden, crunchy on the outside, fluffy inside, and clearly fried with care. Dunked into the generous pool of ketchup, they’re nostalgic in the best way
...simple, salty, and addictive.
The Dirty Shirley is pure throwback fun with a grown-up twist. Served ice-cold in a tall glass, it’s fizzy, lightly sweet, and refreshingly tart. The grenadine sinks and swirls through the clear soda, giving it that iconic pink hue, while the cherry garnish leans hard into retro charm. It’s bright, playful, and dangerously easy to drink less cocktail bravado, more cheerful indulgence.“
“root and rye: 4 stars
The larder food cart: 0-1 stars
**the larder food cart does not have a google review page. To not hurt root and rye I changed my review to 4 stars even though they are a reflection of the food they have on their property and I hope other customers don’t experience the service we got.
Root and Rye was great, and the service there was friendly but couldn’t find a way to review the cart specifically. Unfortunately, we can’t say we’ll return due to an interaction with what we believe to be the owner of The Larder food cart.
When we were presented with the tip screen, there was no option for a custom tip, only preset amounts or zero. While we understand there are differing opinions on tipping culture, we ultimately selected zero because we intended to leave a custom tip. This was a service-window order for one appetizer, and we absolutely would have tipped if given the option.
We were told our small plate would be brought out to us, but when it was delivered, the interaction included snarky remarks and rude comments related to the tip selection. Both of us have worked in the service industry, and we cannot imagine returning to a guest to comment on a tip. Extremely unprofessional.
We eat out often and frequently tip for good service, but this was by far one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had. Unfortunately, this interaction ruined our time & we decided to leave shortly after.
Also, if you are so worried about tips to support your employees a) pay them more yourself b) be kind to customers.“
