What a pleasant surprise it was! Not only did we find a menu with something for every palate, but also food that was nourishing, delicious, and made with love. The highlight of the evening was meeting and spending time with Patty herself — a charming, charismatic woman with a heart of gold — and her hardworking, kind husband. Needless to say, this restaurant is a true gem and will hold a special place in our memories and hearts. Thank you for a wonderful evening and an unforgettable meal. “We enjoy our neighbors who have awesome events throughout the year especially in the spring, summer fall. We often ride our lusitano horses by the venue and it is alway well kept and blossoming with fun people. The wine and atmosphere is a fantastic vibe.“

We sat outside with our pup at our feet and the server immediately brought out water and a treat for her. We ordered the celery salad, broccoli, fries, and had the shrimp risotto. It's a little crowded for seating and the tables are an odd size if you want to have a quiet conversation with a friend. The music was next level awesome (I'm a white woman mid-40s, if that helps you narrow the demographic). Service was prompt, and friendly. The line for customers was a little confusing but that could be a small town problem. Not sure. It was just bizarre. :) Yes, I'm petty, small things matter.“

“Had a nice tasting experience at Northstar. We'd not been out before but it is a beautiful setting and very nice tasting room. Looks like outside would be delightful in Spring and Summer. Our host, Nathan, was attentive and fun to chat with. He went out of his way to discuss wine and address our questions - a real asset for this winery. Not too much and not too litte. These wines are well made and represent their WA varitals well. Structured with some aging potential - and necessity in a few cases. It would definitely be a good tasting stop on any visitors Walla Walla short list.“

“We had a very nice time visiting Longshadows. The setting is peaceful and serene. The Chihuly art pieces are great. Staff was very friendly. Carina did a great job explaining the tasting options and describing each wine. We appreciated that she crafted some individual tastings for our group that included a mix of red and white options. “We had a spectacular time at Garrison Creek Cellars, which is the estate winery of Les Collines Vineyard. The building and vineyard are gorgeous. Our guide, Dylan, was knowledgeable and engaging. We got to tour the facility and even taste a barrel sample. My favorite portion of the tasting was a side by side comparison of two different Syrahs--it was amazing to taste the difference. We also enjoyed the delicious cheese platter. Definitely a must do when in Walla Walla (even though there's a wait list to become a member).“

“Feel is authentic. Tastes are authentic. People are authentic. What else can I say but, authentic? Oh, prices? Authentic. Better priced menu of all the competition in town. Portion sizes are at least 30% larger than their nearest competitor.

Ask for a basket of chips and you actually get a full basket. Go elsewhere and ask. You'll see that the difference is awe inspiring. The sauces are more flavorful and the mole's are,...wait for it,...authentic.“

We chose to sit outside with our dog at our feet and immediately our server, who is the brother of the chef/owner, brought a water bowl and treat for her. The menu had all the expected offerings but everything we had was elevated and exceptional. My companion had a salad, then the burger with fries, and I had the heirloom tomato eggs benedict with the best bacon I have had in recent memory. The side of tri-colored potatoes were crisp on the outside and just soft enough. “Called in an order for some deliciousness for my wife and I. Picked up the order, got home and noticed that one of the meals was not what I had ordered. No worries, everything they have is amazing. My wife and I were eating, and I received a call from the restaurant saying that they realized that they messed up our order and that they wanted to either refund me the money or give me the order that I was missing for free next time I call in for an order. I wanted to say that that kind of customer service is some of the best I've seen. Appreciate that.“
