“Mudd coffee is roasted locally by Marco (1/2 Pint Cafe), and Local Coffee makes a jazzy Nutella mocha that is soo sweet! Love it! The Mexican mocha is also delicious! Remember to use your Fred Meyer gas receipt for $1 off. --- frugal kugal“

“A funny near not funny thing happened in Starbucks parking lot at this location. I parked my car in the lot across and over a bit from Starbucks. My husband and I got out of the car and started walking towards the door and after a few steps we both took a bit of a dive downwards as the slope was steep and was not obvious. It would have been bad if we didn’t catch ourselves because we could have done a face plant right into the asphalt! OUCH! But maybe someone else might not have been so lucky and might have completed a face plant. Why they didn’t even out the grading is a mystery to me! It’s an accident waiting to happen. BTW, our drinks were fine.“

“I ordered the shrimp omelet, and it had a unique Vietnamese twist- something I’ve never tried before. The flavor combination was so special and surprisingly delightful.
I highly recommend this dish, especially with their signature ginger sauce. So comforting and flavorful. 🦐🍳
Paired with a warm cup of coffee, it was the kind of brunch that quietly makes your day better.“

“One of my favorite coffee shops in Portland. Highlighted by a delicious signature blend “Blendo Stupendo” and excellent service. I enjoy the fact that they memorize your appearance and bring your order directly to you, even if you’re taking it to-go.
I consistently have an amazing cup here, which is very important to me. Consistency, professional, friendliness and good vibes are found at Sterling.“

“Wonderful coffee in a peaceful, simple ambiance. They are confident in the boldness of their roasting profiles and geographies, including beans sourced from various parts of Asia. I was treated with warmth and care - this was a very memorable experience and I will absolutely return each time I visit Portland.“

“This is an excellent little spot for a coffee. The baristas are passionate about specialty coffee and matcha. Not only did they make me a phenomenal flat white, but we also had a great chat about a pour over brewer I was interested in trying at home.“

“I ordered my Espresso machine and Grinder Clive and most of my experience has been great. Their chat service is very responsive and super helpful anytime I have a question. Only giving 4 stars since I'm having an issue with their point system where it is removing my points even though I didn't use them. They told me there are some errors happening on their end so hopefully that gets fixed soon.“

“It’s not on the online menu, but every time I have been there they have a vegan breakfast sandwich that is to die for… Just Egg, vegan cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes on a ciabatta bun. Then I have a chai made with oat milk to go with it. A perfect way to start the day! They also have some vegan pastries, avocado toast, and a few other things that are vegan. “As a visitor from South Carolina (aka Trumpistan), I am thrilled to know places like this establishment actually exist. We have no such refuges in my region. It’s so refreshing to mingle with people who value good drinks, good politics, and good society.
Thank you thank you for making my visit to Portland memorable.
Thank you for supporting and defending your community so well.

“I'm kicking myself for not discovering this hidden gem sooner! This breakfast and lunch spot delivers exceptional fresh food and genuinely warm, family-style service. The quality is truly outstanding, and the vibrant atmosphere makes any wait enjoyable. We loved cozying up to the window bar, watching the world go by while enjoying fresh coffee and browsing National Geographic and Mad Magazine. The food? It exceeded all expectations, both in presentation and flavor. And knowing the owner and his daughter are a hands-on team makes supporting them even more rewarding. A must-try!“

“Randomly found this place and decided to stop in. They have recently moved and while looking confused was redirected to their new location less than a block down the road. What makes this place unique is that they have beer and wine available for sale too. There is also an outdoor patio and it looks like they may have music in the evenings. The barista was super friendly and while enjoying my horchata hot brew noticed numerous regulars and such a friendly vibe by all employees. Honestly the friendly and sincere service really makes this coffee shop stand out. Wouldn’t hesitate to stop in again soon.“

“Such a Nostalgic Cozy Blockbuster type setup!! Definitely one of my favorite places to go in Multnomah county! Sells icecream, shakes, coffee, and dvd rentals of course!! Folks at the counter are super kind and polite. They provide good advice for shake flavors if you’re unsure of what you want but have an idea of what flavor profile you’re trying for. Like I had wanted a pumpkin spice type shake and the employee gave me their advice of what flavors to combine and it was delicious. I just wish I lived closer.“

“Safe and comfortable place to relax and work, when you need a place in a pinch to get some things done or just a place to unwind... nice find! Great staff... ALL VOLUNTEERS! Many businesses need to have their staff experience being served here, these people are volunteers and are respectful, cheerful, and nice; yet most paid servers here in Portland are not so respectful, cheerful, or nice, and are usually loudly complaining about their jobs. EASTSIDE COFFEE IS AWESOME!“

“Classic 90s style coffee house that has good coffee, always has decaf drip brewed, yummy snacks and panini sandwiches, and good atmosphere for hanging out with friends, reading, or studying! Plus, staff is always friendly and helpful with navigating food sensitivities (will look up ingredients, make helpful suggestions). Can’t give this place enough props!“

“Discovered living in the Boise neighborhood. Long since moved but still a staple I come back to again and again. Anytime I get to choose the cafe on an outing, Euko is always my number 1 pick. The flavors of the coffee and syrups are divine. Will not disappoint. The owner and barista try to remember every customer that walks in. Definitely a community treasure.“
“A true gem. Incredible coffee and a downright dope collection of locally screenprinted, USA-made clothing and excellent in-house roasted beans. In a world that's increasingly AI generated, treat yourself to food & goods that are human-made through and through.“

“Every time I come here, I leave in a better mood& that’s all thanks to Jo! She’s the sweetest, bubbliest barista you’ll ever meet, always greeting you with a genuine smile and making you feel like a friend instead of just a customer. Not only does she make amazing coffee, but she somehow manages to brighten my entire day with her kindness and energy. The world needs more people like her!! 💓“

“absolutely delicious, and very different from your average Portland cafe. they've got all glass exterior walls which brings in the light from outside, but it's super well lit inside without being overwhelming. and the baristas were both excellent, and quick too!
I ordered a pistachio milk (!?) mocha, and the barista who made it asked if i wanted the morrocan spice on it...
ya'll. get the morrocan spice on it. it was an absolutely divine experience; i've never had pistachio milk before, so the whole thing was an experience on first sip. i also got a veggie biscuit (for $5!! in downtown?!) which was also incredible, and came out piping hot which is exactly what i needed on this cold morning.
i will definitely be back here. it's dangerous that I will be in the area twice a week!“

“This cute little spot is very hip (in the black metal seating and minimalism decor sort of way), very cute. I got the famed marionberry poptart which lived up to the hype. I got a season pistachio drink that ended up being a little too sweet for my taste (I was told it was slightly sweet but was surprised when it was full blown). Latte art was beautiful. The barista was wonderfully helpful and gave a full rundown of the offerings. This is not a work in a coffee shop sort of cafe. The tables are small yet cute. Better to plan for a short visit.“

“Some darn good espresso. There is a blend and a single origin on espresso. SO happened to be from Kenya today. 4.25, no extra surcharges for SO. Extremely happy with the shot! Nice yield and presentation. Recognizably taste like Heart, flavor is smooth but plenty of well-separated clean acidity to enjoy.“

“Really comfortable place. People playing board games, studying, chatting, it’s not a third wave coffee shop, but the coffee is good and the vibes are cozy… Somehow those coffee shops with immaculate aesthetics and pristine interiors seem to miss the mark on the function of a coffee shop as a relaxed gathering place for people from all walks of life.“

“Portland Cà Phê is a pretty solid Vietnamese café. They brew their coffee using the traditional slow-drip phin, just like in Vietnam, and you can tell the beans are well roasted with good flavor. The space itself is bright and welcoming, with lots of natural light that makes it a nice place to sit and enjoy your coffee. Overall, a decent spot if you’re into Vietnamese coffee.“

“Pretty solid coffee with lots of fancy flavor options to choose from as well. I did not get to try the banh mi as I came in at 7 AM and was very likely the first person in.
I did try the donuts and while they weren’t terrible, They weren’t exactly what I expected when I see the word donut. They were dense and smooth and cool temp wise, lol I really can’t think of anything to compare them with!
The black sesame coffee was absolutely delicious, but there was a ton of grits left at the bottom of the cup.“

“I love this place! I could get a cup of coffee anywhere but this shop has become more than just great food and drinks - it’s a place for neighbors to gather and the owners have fully invested themselves in our community. Love the breakfast sandwiches, my daily coffee and Friday evenings on their back lawn with a beer and friends!“
