“My family loves coming to the Beer Library! The trivia is great on Tuesdays. The beer is always cold and changes often so we can try all kinds. The staff is all super friendly and know in beer. Will let you try it before you get a big glass so you know what you are getting. Amazing!“

My one qualm is the children. There should be a rule about well behaved children bc the parents who let their kids destroy the building should not be allowed here imo.
Kids are gonna be wild, but the lack of awareness from the adults that come here with their kids is the one downside of this place tbh.

“Always a great brewery and a nice spot down town to pop in for a beer and a pretzel. IPAs are their Forte. I had the vienna lager which is great albeit a hoppy vienna. They just won 2 more medals at GABF this year so pop in for a pint or 3. They medaled on the breakside IPA so grab a pour.“

“This is the only place that serves Vision hard cider (that I know of), specifically the Colada Cooler (coconut lime)!! It's my absolute favorite cider I've EVER tried ❤️❤️. They don't serve food (other than small bags of chips & I think free popcorn) but they allow outside food which is a plus!! We drive from Beaverton to Canby just so I can get my cider fix occasionally. Last weekend we went to a Disco event there, it was fun although I'm pretty sure everyone knew each other besides the two of us lol.“

“This place is engraved in my mind from a random snowstorm that struck about 8 years ago. In a nutshell, my friend and I got stuck at McMenamins from a snowstorm then ate and drank like royalty. Their food is delicious and their brews top it off for the ultimate experience. So next time there's a snowstorm, drop by John Barleycorns.“

“Only just discovered this location (new to the neighborhood), so only been a few times so far. Each time we've tried something new and have not been disappointed yet. “This is our local pub and the default place to grab drinks and dinner after a long week. There's always a great selection of local beers on draft, and the seasonal cocktails are a favorite. I often order the Blue Bayou salad, the Portland dip sandwich, or the Captain Neon burger, always with tots. Sadly the Scooby Snacks are no longer available here, so we'll occasionally travel to McMenamins locations further afield for those.
The staff are always friendly and helpful. If I have one criticism, it's that they often seem understaffed here, with one server to wait all the tables and tend bar. But ultimately it doesn't matter, I'll be going here until I die.“

“Hands down Shane, Nicole , Sadie, Miles and the rest of the crew are absolutely some of the best humans I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with. I’ve been coming to Portland my entire life but most recently in a professional capacity since August of 2025, these guys and gals have alway gone above and beyond my expectations no matter the amount of bodies in the establishment. If you are every in the area do yourself a favor stop by eat, drink, and be merry.“
