Worker was incredibly helpful and friendly, noticed we were visiting and recommended other coffee shops too. Real inviting space and Kens is just up the street which makes for a killer combo. Before leaving decided to get some beans and worker comp'd me some house beans, such a kind gesture!“

It will make you feel things your partner never could. Also have you ever been disappointed when you went to Taco Bell and the Crunchwrap was smaller than you wanted, well not here, it’s massive and way more flavorful than Taco Bell could ever hope to be. There is not a single reason you shouldn’t be going here at multiple times a month. Lastly literally everyone who works here is just the biggest bundle of joy and so kind it brightens your day 😊“

“Safe and comfortable place to relax and work, when you need a place in a pinch to get some things done or just a place to unwind... nice find! Great staff... ALL VOLUNTEERS! Many businesses need to have their staff experience being served here, these people are volunteers and are respectful, cheerful, and nice; yet most paid servers here in Portland are not so respectful, cheerful, or nice, and are usually loudly complaining about their jobs. EASTSIDE COFFEE IS AWESOME!“

“This place is just the best. Cute, quiet, and run by the nicest volunteer staff you could imagine. They roast their own beans, make all their own syrups, and source tasty snacks locally. they’ve got delicious vegan options that actually feel creative and satisfying. My oat milk chai latte was absolute perfection (creamy, not too sweet, with just the right ginger kick), and the breakfast burrito was crispy, warm, and fennel-forward for those who love it.

The space has great vibes. beautiful aesthetics, plenty of outlets, and the kind of calm that makes you want to stay and read or draw for hours. Parking was a breeze in the gravel lot, and prices are super reasonable

“Never tried Moroccan coffee before, I got a cold and a hot, I liked it! The service here was excellent, extremely friendly people that made me feel welcome the second I opened the door. I got a breakfast sandwich and it was a delicious and the prices were great. What more could you ask for?“

Idk what kind of magic they put in their espresso but it was so smooth — like chocolatey but not sweet, just rich in a lowkey way. Got their ham & cheese croissant too (warmed up), and it hit the spot. The inside’s got that Portland charm — wood, plants, a little moody lighting — but still super clean and not try-hard. I got a season pistachio drink that ended up being a little too sweet for my taste (I was told it was slightly sweet but was surprised when it was full blown). Latte art was beautiful. The barista was wonderfully helpful and gave a full rundown of the offerings. This is not a work in a coffee shop sort of cafe. The tables are small yet cute. Better to plan for a short visit.“

I got the blueberry lavender cream croissant muffin which was crazy good and my mom got the cherry almond muffin (not in photos) which she loved. Her latte was also so yummy and beautiful, definitely better coffee than matcha! For 2 drinks and 2 pastries it was a bit pricey but what isn’t these days.“

I had an amazing experience at Nossa Familia Coffee today. Tara, Aiyana, and Danny (the store manager) were absolutely wonderful. Their kindness and warmth made a real difference. When they overheard a bit of what I was going through, they went above and beyond and offered me the most incredible chai latte with oat milk — and honestly, it was one of the best I’ve ever had.

The atmosphere here is welcoming, the staff genuinely care, and the customer service is top-tier. Encounters like this remind me how powerful compassion can be.
