“One of the best brunches in recent memory. Super flavorful and creative food, very reasonably priced for the huge portions. Shrimp omelet was fire - highly recommend, along with salted pandan matcha. Want to try everything else on this menu!“

“Excellent coffee, consistently every time. I'm from out of town but I always get a cup when I visit Portland. The baked goods are excellent as well.
What really sets this place apart though is it seems like the staff are all very happy. They work together like a well oiled machine, greeting people by name when they come in and laughing and joking. It's nice to see a place feel sweet and homey, all while drinking some of the finest coffee I've had in Portland.“

“Wonderful coffee in a peaceful, simple ambiance. They are confident in the boldness of their roasting profiles and geographies, including beans sourced from various parts of Asia. I was treated with warmth and care - this was a very memorable experience and I will absolutely return each time I visit Portland.“

“Popped in here while waiting for the plant store to open, and I'm so glad we did. Sam was welcoming and helpful. The drink selection was fantastic and the prices were reasonable. It was obvious the amount of effort and love that go into every drink. Easily my new favorite coffee shop.“
“I’ve been coming here since it opened and believe it’s by far the best place for coffee in SW and might be the best coffee spot in all of Portland. Joe and staff are all very nice and welcoming every time. I love their cortados and Matcha Lattes. And the large cozy space is perfect for meeting up and working on a laptop. It’s light and bright with lots of windows and some outdoor seating as well. The have a great selection of various coffee makers for sale and delicious pastries. A gift to the area!“

“Hands down my favorite coffee shop in Portland. (I worked in coffee for 10+ years so that’s sayin something.)
The staff is always exceptionally sweet and warm, even on busy mornings! The line can get a bit long— especially on weekends, but they’re generally really quick and efficient.
You can trust that every pastry and drink will be made with exceptional quality. My favorite pastries are the zucchini bread and cinnamon rolls (must arrive early on the weekends for those)!
Everything Keeper does is done with absolute excellence. I’ve never had a bad experience here, but I know that if I did, they’d make it right. I bring all my friends here for a reason. Best atmosphere, best people, best coffee, best treats. Love u, Keeper!“

“Small place, but fun decor and incredible food. A ton of Studio Ghibli, Pokémon, and a few other anime decor all over. Small bar and 1 table for seating. The staff was very nice, but you order from a tablet at the register. All credit/debit, no cash.
One detail was a little off-putting. You need to ring a door bell to be let in to the restaurant due to security. Not a deal breaker for us, but kind of a bummer. Tablet ordering helps you to see what is available, but the staff sits behind the counter and waits for you to make your decisions. A little disappointing, but again, not a deal breaker.
If you like cutesy anime, this place is for you“

“this is a great neighborhood for coffee! no preference is a nice place to work remotely, staff and owner are always super nice, and the lattes are unique and delicious. the ginger coffee is an unsung hero, and when it’s busy there’s usually a dog or two in line.“

“Love this off-the-path hidden gem. Fantastic drinks (clearly I’m a matcha fan), cozy vibe with comfortable seating, used books for sale, a game shelf, wonderful staff, delicious fresh-baked pastries, ice cream, and Cathedral-roasted coffee beans! The owners are genuine, kind & welcoming; the kind of business you want to support. Great place to meet friends, get some work done, or treat yourself to a peaceful afternoon. We are lucky to have this treasure in Scappoose.“
“Tastes as good as it smells! Yum one of our favorites. Who thinks Starbucks when you have Spella!“
“My friend Julius just introduced me to Drip Drop Coffee. This place is Great! I love that this place is a black owned business. And run by young black men. The crowd was so diverse in here it was great! All colors and all ages.
The food, service, cleanliness and kindness here is amazing! Marcus and his team really enjoy and love what they do! You can tell by how the food is prepared and drinks are made. My friend had a Dude sandwich which looked so yummy! Two small waffles with egg and cheese in between. I think a sausage patty too. My friend's daughter had a hot chocolate and my friend had a coffee as well. It was pretty crowded so we had to wait for a few to sit down. But totally worth it. Parking is available on the streets right next to it and there is a paid parking garage as well right next to it. I will definitely be back!! Thank you Marcus and team for your kindness, hospitality, great food and service!“

“I first came across this cafe on Google Maps and was immediately drawn to its aesthetic and decor. When I visited in person, it definitely lived up to expectations. The space is very spacious, and I especially love that they open the doors during the summer, creating great airflow between the indoor and outdoor areas and making the whole cafe feel bright and inviting.
One thing that initially surprised me was the price of the latte. At $7, it’s noticeably more expensive than many other coffee shops, where a plain latte is often around $4–6. However, I later realized that alternative milks and additional syrups are included at no extra charge, which makes the pricing feel more reasonable if you like customizing your drinks.
The latte itself was quite good, and the overall atmosphere is really beautiful and relaxing. There are also a few conveniently located outlets, making it a solid place to work or study. The Wi-Fi was stable during my visit, and there was plenty of room to spread out with a laptop and other devices.
Around lunchtime, it can get a bit busier as people come in for food, but even then, it still feels like a comfortable and chill place to spend time. The spacious layout definitely helps prevent it from feeling overcrowded.
My only real criticism is that I wish the drink menu were a little more diverse. While the coffee was good, I’d love to see more variety and unique beverage options. Overall, though, it’s a beautiful, spacious cafe with a great atmosphere, reliable Wi-Fi, and a pleasant environment for both working and relaxing.“

“Every time I come here, I leave in a better mood& that’s all thanks to Jo! She’s the sweetest, bubbliest barista you’ll ever meet, always greeting you with a genuine smile and making you feel like a friend instead of just a customer. Not only does she make amazing coffee, but she somehow manages to brighten my entire day with her kindness and energy. The world needs more people like her!! 💓“

“Randomly found this place and decided to stop in. They have recently moved and while looking confused was redirected to their new location less than a block down the road. What makes this place unique is that they have beer and wine available for sale too. There is also an outdoor patio and it looks like they may have music in the evenings. The barista was super friendly and while enjoying my horchata hot brew noticed numerous regulars and such a friendly vibe by all employees. Honestly the friendly and sincere service really makes this coffee shop stand out. Wouldn’t hesitate to stop in again soon.“

“Safe and comfortable place to relax and work, when you need a place in a pinch to get some things done or just a place to unwind... nice find! Great staff... ALL VOLUNTEERS! Many businesses need to have their staff experience being served here, these people are volunteers and are respectful, cheerful, and nice; yet most paid servers here in Portland are not so respectful, cheerful, or nice, and are usually loudly complaining about their jobs. EASTSIDE COFFEE IS AWESOME!“

“Back in 2016, when it was still Dapper & Wise, I was a barista here, and it’s where I met my now fiancée for the first time. She walked in the day she was signing a lease just down the block.
This past November, I came back to what’s now Wallflower Coffee to propose to her. I reached out to Joel, the owner, just a few days beforehand, and even though we had never met, he was immediately on board. He opened the shop after hours, set up lights, created an amazing atmosphere, and even had champagne ready for us. He was even kind enough to coordinate with my old coworker (shout out to Maxine!) to take some terrific photos of the moment for us. He clearly cares about what this place means to people, and that shows in how he runs the shop; welcoming, thoughtful, and genuinely involved with the community.
On top of that, it’s just a great coffee shop. Really good coffee, a comfortable place to work or study, and an all-around good vibe. Cortado is always TOP-tier.
This place will always be special to us. Can’t recommend it enough. Thanks again, Joel.“
