“Excellent elevated diner cuisine. Had the Chicken plate, which was awesome. Chicken was moist and breading was perfect. House made BBQ sauce was crazy good. My son had a kids burger, and they let him sub out a biscuit for the fries with no fuss. He loved the biscuit, which I guess is a family recipe. Great little gem in Sherwood.“

“In comparison to other McMenamins locations, this one is pretty mundane. It’s located in a strip mall. It offers inside and outside seating. The layout reminds me of an Applebees but with McMenamins decorations. The food and drinks are of course McMenamins. Our server was great and made the experience great. It was strange too but be in a McMenamins restaurant that doesn’t scream historical history.“

“We brought my fiance here for a surprise birthday dinner. The restaurant was so accommodating and made his favorite dessert special for our group. Everything we ordered, from the appetizers to main dishes and drinks, were great! Portions definitely splittable if you're a lighter eater. Definitely recommend treating yourself to a wonderful dining experience here.“

“I've always had decent food here at Bannings. This morning I ordered Pumpkin pancakes.....what a disappointment. The pumpkin batter needed salt added to it and it also could have used a bit more sugar in the batter. The syrup was not real maple syrup but table top ad says, "warm maple syrup," so I expected real maple syrup. It also says, "whipped butter." I asked the waiter about the maple syrup and he told me it was "artificial" maple and argued the fact that the restaurant never said "real" maple syrup. Maybe the butter is whipped margarine...who knows what liberties are taken in menu descriptions. I'm a "real" maple syrup customer.“

“so, just a disclaimer... I HATE waffles. Absolutely cannot stand them. That being said... I just had the Belgian waffle here, with raspberry puree.... and it was SERIOUSLY delicious!!! Perfect texture, slightly nutty flavor, and the puree was to die for!!!!“

“My partner and I brought two friends to Oswego Grill in Beaverton because they were celebrating birthdays. I mentioned the birthdays event in the reservation I made on Open Table. I did not have to mention it again when we arrived — the staff remembered and asked, “which of you are celebrating birthdays?” Our friends were so pleased. We each had a delicious lunch including fish and chips, a grilled chicken sandwich, a grilled steak salad, and a prawns salad. There were 2-3 wait staff checking in with us, and even the manager stop by to chat. After our lunch, our server brought two beautiful desserts for the birthday gals. These were complimentary, to my surprise, because they were large portions with bananas, fruit, ice cream, and whipped cream. Generally a free birthday dessert might be a small cupcake. Oswego Grill is very generous. I hope I was generous enough with the tip I left because the staff deserved a really good one. We will absolutely be back and recommend this restaurant to others. “I come to this particular Black Bear every year because it is the one nearest to the hotel nearest to where my dad lives. I go to a Black Bear Diner pretty often, and this one is up to the same high standards as basically all the others I've visited. This visit, however, was not to see my dad but to go to his funeral. It was a really rough day today. I could hardly leave the hotel room. But when I did, and I sat there just reading for a bit over a hamburger, listening to nothing in particular, my waiter was very helpful and attentive despite there seeming to be a lot of people and not enough waiters. He had no way of knowing that today was one of the hardest days in my life. He was kind, attentive, and engaged me in a brief conversation in a natural way without it being forced. I sat for a bit after my meal and had refills for another half hour, until just after closing time. My waiter's name is Ethan. Melissa told me that while she wasn't the manager, I should put a review up online so that my compliment gets back to him. I don't know if I will be back here any time soon. If I am, I will hope to see Ethan, who just did his job and who was genuine.“

“The food is great, I had an off menu wrap. The service is amazing, everyone keeps their attitude at home, nothing but cheerful employees here trying to help you to the best of their abilities. The atmosphere would be five stars as well but it is a bowling alley and can get quite noisy. That's the only reason for a 4 star review for atmosphere. Other than that the patrons are very friendly as well. If you're waiting on a movie across the street, looking for a great date idea, or just board looking for some time to kill, then this is a great suggestion. Besides a bowling alley it's also an arcade that gives you tickets that you can cash in for prizes. Granted the prizes are geared towards children, there's still some stuff there that would be a great idea for a first date prize. Highly recommend this place and will stop by again if I'm ever in the area“

“I've always had an appreciation for shakes, fries, and a burger. The hazelnut chocolate shake came with an ice cold cup filled with extra shake on the side.

And the burger was cooked juicy and homestyle.
And the fries were delicious. The only thing I observed was not the freshest lettuce but keep in mind im am very critical of my burgers. And it was later in the evening.

I really enjoyed the cleanliness of the dining room and restroom. And the waitress was very attentive and welcoming.

Parking: The turn off can be a tad awkward from the intersection to parking lot but that is totally fine once you get the parking lot. There is plenty of space.

Kid-friendliness: This would be an excellent spot to get dinner with kids. They have old cartoons playing on the t.v.“

“I'm not sure why in my mind I expected a mediocre experience but man was I wrong and glad of it.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch and got the French Dip and Santa Fe Chicken Panini. We split them so we were able to both try two different sandwiches and they were stellar. The French Dip was the best I have ever experienced, even beating my own cooking as well as the Panini brought together flavors in a manner which I had never tried before and it was refreshing. All the wait staff were amazing and some even dressed up for the holiday spirit!

I'd highly recommend to anyone doubting this as being special to give it a try because I believe you'll be happily proven wrong.“

“I came in after a suppper long shift and my brain just could not comprehend this menu at all, but one of the employees his name was Jake he was so helpful and patient with me. He took the time to explain how it works and even when I still just could not get it he stayed patient and calm which you just don’t see enough of these days. “We went for a friend’s 6th birthday. We had fun letting the kids run around and play games. When it came time to pick out prizes my son chose a plastic snake. Waylon was very patient with my son while he tried to make the very difficult decision of what prize to pick (with 45 points). Fast forward 15 minutes later he trips and the snake breaks. He was understandably upset. We went back to the prize counter and Waylon was an absolute angel. He not only got my son a new snake, he connected the broken one to the new one to create a mega snake. Our server was very friendly and patient― He tried not to interrupt our conversation. decarli is hands down one of our favorite restaurants in Portland.“

“I live in Portland but during the Pandemic I tend to avoid indoor spaces within the City limits. To the suburbs I go. Coffee and muffins for two at Ava’s was great. Very limited indoor seating made for a pleasant and safe experience. We had coffee, we talked without masks and I enjoyed this place. If you want to meet for coffee in Beaverton and actually sit and talk with someone, this is a good place. I don’t know if they take reservations, but they should. I would hesitate to have anything much larger than a 3-top here. Again, small space with limited and nicely spaced pandemic seating. Pleasant pandemic coffee meeting place. Go Beaverton!“
