“This b&r is the closest one to us but I hadn't come to this one because of being treated so terribly and basically ripped off about 10 years ago. I had a craving for their perfect chocolate chip ice cream so we stopped in and they totally redeemed themselves today for me! Brooke helped me, I had a lot of questions and she answered them all. She was so friendly, fun and polite. Then the gal at check out was a sweetheart too. I didn't get her name but she owns a basset doodle if the owner happens to see this. I will be back :)”

“Ooh la la! Spectacular. We started with perfect Oysters on the half shell, Oeufs in hand-whipped aioli (Wow, so simple and so good, like eating the calf in its own milk!), and the amazing chicken liver mousse (the fried brioche was a little rich and threatened to overpower the exquisite pate, but everything was great). Then les gros bonnets: Duck Confit on spinach and Halibut steamed in halibut stock with snap peas and white wine sauce. The cocktails and wine special were exquisite. The service was old school perfect and prompt. (Matthew missed nothing and taught us throughout). Wow. We loved everything.

Service here is exceptional (Andrew is an ever-shining gem!) which stands out on its own against many other Portland restaurants. “Had one of the best meals of my trip to Portland at Lilia Comedor! I dined solo and the team was kind enough to accommodate me with the Chef’s Dinner tasting menu for one, which already set the tone for such a thoughtful experience. I also did the wine pairing, and every single course was incredible! Super flavorful, beautifully presented, and full of unique ingredients and combinations I wouldn’t have thought of myself.

The portions were also surprisingly generous for a tasting menu. I left completely full and very satisfied. The wine pairing was excellent, and the sommelier was knowledgeable, approachable, and clearly passionate about what they were serving. Huge shout out to Jason, who took such great care of me all evening. He made the experience feel relaxed, personal, and genuinely fun.

What really made the night special, though, was the service overall. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. It somehow felt elevated and cozy at the same time, like being welcomed into someone’s home for an amazing dinner party. And the handwritten note at the end was such a thoughtful touch.

Absolutely worth the visit if you’re in Portland. Five stars without hesitation.”

“Been here twice and was not disappointed! Great vibes! We had a reservation so we were seated promptly even without having the 4 people all at once. Order was supposed to be placed at the bar which was a little inconvenient. In drinks we got the Dew Process which was sweet but nice, United States of Baijiu and Green Machine were great. Mandarin wings were amazing as always, tofu was greasy but great, honey shrimp was awesome! The silk dumplings were not so great since they were too doughy and I could barely taste the wagyu beef in it. All in all a fun experience!”

“I went to this place for me and my partners anniversary. I have never been and neither had he. The experience was top notch! I came in and the waiter said he was going to change my life and he did just that. I also had a gift card that had a generous balance and I was so impressed with the service and food that I was embarrassed to use it so I paid out of my own pocket. Best tapas in Portland hands down! My partner usually is the one who picks places because I’m bad at it and he was also incredibly impressed with me and my choice to try Urdaneta!”

“This place is special. We had a piece of bluefin that was shear perfection. Also, a deep friend scallop was incredible. Everything was great. The only thing is the tasting menu isn’t a ton of food, I wouldn’t go too hungry. Or if you’re still hungry you can order more after the tasting menu.”
