“I wanted to try a new place for date night and picked a good one. The food was excellent, the service was warm. I made a reservation for the purple room which has about 4 small tables. There is another room that has more tables and a bar. The restaurant is on the second floor of a converted house. I don't think they have an elevator, so you're aware. We got mostly what the waiter recommended. The chicken liver mousse tart was savory and delicate, crust being flaky and good contrast to the vinaigretted frissee. The grilled cauliflower still had crunch and umami. I picked the duck confit which had delicious crispy crust and a slight sweet, salty sauce. My husband had the pork coppa which is a braised pork shoulder over a sauce with delicious huge beans. I thought all the food was outstanding, the presentation was great and flavors well balanced. Ended the night with an almond flour orange cake, not too sweet. I might have skipped that one because the gelee was a little tart and cake a denser than expected. The waiter was great at helping us navigate the menu. I liked all the choices available and can't wait to try more of them. I don't think there is a wrong choice here. Their menu options rotate.“
“Love love love EVERYTHING about Sushi Mazi. Food, absolutely delicious! My most favorites are classic aged ahi tuna, blue fin tuna top with black garlic, salmon skin appetizer and sushi salad. Will be able to stop in Portland without coming here. I understand why they have so many regulars, the staffs and owners are so warm and wonderful. Recommend trying their wide range of sake. Cheers!“
“Very cozy restaurant. I have never had peruvian food but really wanted to try it. I got the Aji de Gallina and the passion fruit juice. They were so tasty and well prepared! Super friendly staff and very quick service. My food came with some bread and sauces/salsa, the green sauce was phenomenal!“
“Went here the other night for the first time in a while, for dinner. I was warmly greeted upon entry and directed to seating. Excellent vibes and nice decor. We ordered the appetizer combo and chicken satay to start. I had the evil jungle noodle medium spicy. It was as delicious as I remember. One of my friends had the tom yum with shrimp and said they were very pleased with it. Good prices for downtown and generous portions. Great service! Definitely recommend this place! Parking can be tricky as it sits on a busy corner of 2 one-way streets, but if you dont mind walking a block or 2, youll be fine.“
“5 stars all around! The amount of love, identity, thought and detail that go into curating the dining experience that is Langbaan, is a unique and very special gastronomic adventure. From the Kanin Krak (scallop), Tom Prape (salmon), Gang Pai (brisket in cha om leaf curry) to the Rice Khao Lam (sticky rice pudding + fixins), your tastebuds are in for a treat that takes dining to an entire new level, another world and culture of flavor! Plus, they really care about the visuals - they made beets look like blood! March was the month highlighting Isaan, the chef’s hometown in Northern Thailand, we really get a taste of his childhood, very nostalgic.I look forward to the month where the menu is unapologetically Thai! I’m talking bile, blood, tripe, and all of the authenticity that makes Thai cuisine so bold and flavorful. I appreciate how thoughtful the chefs are when designing the menu. I encourage customers to be open to the Thai food scene, in all its forms!! I have no doubt that Langbaan will always put heart and soul into their menu. Thank you to the entire staff for their hospitality and for an exceptional dining experience for my birthday and anniversary!“
“I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time as I heard nothing but good things and it's close to work. It's the perfect lunch menu, soups, sandwiches, combo and much more. Vegetarians and meat eaters all have options. I had a craving for their meatball sub after reading how it morphed from a traditional sausage & pepper sandwich. I didn't disappoint, in fact looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.“
“Feeling hot pot, but don't want the hassle of gathering a group of friends for all you can eat? Or simply just want good hot pot? Come here. I get the Taiwanese supreme every time because it has a plethora of different meats and delicacies. Always order a side of quail eggs. That meal right there will never disappoint. Don't forget about their other menu items like Sichuan soup and fermented tofu soup, they're great as well. The service is kinda of weird because they give you an iPad to order at the table. This makes it difficult to make special requests and substitutions. However, the servers if you can manage to get their attention.“
“My first time in 50 years, and let me say, GREAT!! I went with a group of fine folks who recommended this place. Don't be swayed by the location, it's TOP quality food. We were sat very quickly. The inside ambiance is very quaint. Almost like a family kitchen. Extensive menu choices, including VEGETARIAN options. My food was quite simply delicious! And most importantly, PLENTY of food. Stop by, relax, give them your business and enjoy.“
“After 3 visits this spot really doesn't disappoint! They self-describe as "thoughtful" and I think that's quite true. Real tortillas on the burritos, amazing mole sauce, multiple veggie/plant-based options that are not just an afterthought, and a full salsa bar. I also enjoyed the horchata. Thank you and keep it up!“
“Crazy delicious food. Very reasonably priced. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is upscale with a picturesque bar and friendly service. The food has satisfying portions and packs in a ton of flavor. The noodles of the pad sew ew in particular are bingeworthy with tender cuts of meat and fresh broccoli. My partner enjoys the spiciness of the yellow curry. Variety of dishes on the menu means ordering for groups is a breeze because everyone can find something to enjoy.“
“Just found this sandwich shop in Beaverton and being a sandwich lover had to go ahead and try one. I had their Godfather, which is like an Italian meats sandwich it was off the charts good. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had the rest of the sandwiches on the menu look fantastic. I’m gonna try them all. You definitely need to go here.“
“I want to shout from the rooftops how AMAZING their food is!! From the very first bite I knew I had found a new favorite restaurant. Their green pepper fish soup with rice noodles is out of this world. I give it 6 out of 5 stars. All the flavors were balanced 100% perfectly, and that’s saying a lot because I’m a veteran foodie with a picky palate who is quite discriminating about flavors. The chef here is a flavor ninja. Also, rarely do I rave about a restaurant enough to leave a review, that’s how impressed I am.By the way, I highly recommend getting the “crispy fried milk.” I ate an entire serving of it in one sitting yesterday, and I could have eaten two more, it was that delicious. It comes with a sweet, coconutty sauce that reminds me of the sweet yet slightly savory sauce used in sticky rice with mango that you find at Thai restaurants.Eat here, you won’t be disappointed!“
“Got the turkey cranberry relish with Brie panini and the sandwich special which was a corned beef, sauerkraut, Gouda and pickle panini. Both sandwiches were amazing and ready for pickup on time. The staff was helpful and nice. This is going to be our new go to sandwich shop!“
“I got the beef pho. Soup was amazing on a cold day. It had a very nice pepper flavor. The restaurant is a very cozy warm house that does quick service style where you order and seat yourself. I would say this is a great place to grab a casual lunch or take out.“
“Had a VERY legit bacon cheeseburger and pub fries here. It's a little confusing, a little loud, but the folks who work here clearly love their work.Vegetarian options: There's salads, soups, Mac and cheese, and other veggie optionsKid-friendliness: Unfortunately, there are plenty of people with kids here.“
“Great food truck! My friend and I got a Nutella and banana sweet crepe. They were very accommodating with allergies, we ended up getting a vegan crepe instead of the regular. We will be going back soon and trying the other items on the menu!“
“They were out of a lot of to-go cold soup, but the people were nice, and the food was delicious. I even bought an extra sandwich to go! Don't skip out on the cookies they're soft, and they really hit the spot for that post-meal sweets craving. We got a hot turkey sandwich (my husband LOVED this - a combo of the cheese pull and onions), steak sandwich, mac n cheese, shortbread cookie (my fave), double chocolate cookie (husband's fave), and a cute elephant shaped shortbread cookie. The service was friendly and welcoming, and I would go again“
“We came here yesterday after landing in Portland, wanting a cozy warm soup. The vibe was great, there is free parking in a small lot next to the building, and the atmosphere was very chill.Coming from Arizona, good pho places are a few and far between. This broth in their house pho was amazing. I did add the recommended chili paste and the jalapeños for some spice, but overall the broth was perfect and I didn’t feel like it was missing any component of a great pho!I also tried the strawberry Boba that comes blended and it was good too. The brown sugar boba at the bottom was perfectly chewy and for the price it was actually quite a large cup of it. “
“Nice atmosphere with good views of the river and fast service despite it being fairly busy. The soup dumplings were good, not the best I've ever had, but so far the best I've had in Portland. Oh, and the cucumber salad is the bomb!“
“So happy I found this little gem! I was craving drunken noodle and lo and behold there's a cart named drunken noodles! delicious food!! Also ordered the fried chicken with sticky rice that came with a special fragrant sauce. Perfectly crispy and juicy all in one! And I'm thankful that I don't taste msg in the food. I always get headaches with other Thai food/fried chicken.“
“They stopped doing cocktails to go, and I don't understand why. Sometimes they don't have a bartender, and that's upsetting, but the foods good. Plus they go through staff very quick, maybe they go to other locations but I like to see the same faces and then they are gone. Sad face.“
“Don’t walk too fast or you’ll pass it. Cool place I stumbled onto. Bad signage great food. Corn chowder tastes homemade to me and I’m a soup snob. Cornbread OMG! Pastrami sandwich dad would love. Soups, salads and sandwiches. Subway on steroids!“
“When you walk in you are immediately delighted at the flowers, colors, and decor. The food is flavorful and ample portions. One dish can easily be split with two people. The drinks are exquisite. And presentation across the board is wonderful!Great for girls nights, dates, and for visiting friends!“
“The Thai food here is unlike any other. The presentation was laid out so beautifully, eye catching colors, and the food super fresh. Note, there is a warning on the menu label in regard to the heat. We tried several dishes and each were superb! I was very pleased with the level of service. She offered a few recommendations.“
“Party of 3. One had Mac and vegetables and they loved it. Second meal was regular Mac and cheese and they really enjoyed it. The third meal was the chicken, avocado BLT and it tasted fresh and had a lot of flavor. Service was good. They didn’t have the French onion soup which is what I came for but besides that everything was very good.“
