He is a second generation business owner/chef. His pho is the best I have ever had and it's because of their secret family recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. We have been friends since Highschool and me and the basketball players would always go to his Mom and Dads pho shop after a basketball game. It's so healing and just makes you feel good like you're giving your body exactly what it needs to repair itself. Jimmy is also a talented artist, as you sit in his small space each piece of pottery, tea cups, bowls, and urban art are so tastefully place and cultivated from local artists. His mission is to build the business of this new pho shop on Alberta and take care of his mom and dad who are reaching retirement. His family honor is incredibly inspiring and I want to support him reach his goal. The Faken Beef was glazed with a sweet sesame sauce and served with bell peppers, onions, and white rice. Our table ordered a variety and everyone loved what they ordered. I had the Beef Stew with French Bread it was so good and with it starting to rain out when we got there it ended up being perfect. Overall, they offer an extensive Vietnamese menu, prices may be a bit on the higher side but it's worth what you get. The place is pretty clean with interesting decor, and service is efficient and not disruptive. Definitely recommendable.“

I'll have to come back for the eggplant, bc this dish was amazing. It's so full of flavor and everything was cooked well. Nothing burnt, but no raw bits. A nice al dente texture to every morsel. Loved it. The fish sauce and cilantro really add a lot to the dish, too. Most Thai places I've been to in this city seem to shy away from bold flavors for some reason - not this place. Also - I'm a total capsaicin fiend and the "very spicy" dish I ordered actually had a kick to it. Couldn't believe it. “Pho is one of those comfort foods that taste best when it's cold outsid. This place felt clean and bright, and was a little busy during the lunch rush hour. I ordered chicken pho and it was good but not especially notable. At $16 for the meal, it felt a little on the expensive side but it seems like every place does that now.“
