“We went here for the first time today as a family and Oh My Gosh! First off, that was the most delicious pizza I have ever eaten. The price was very reasonable, The staff was absolutely excellent, quick and very friendly. I also love the outdoor seating option. I honestly give this place a 10/10. We most definitely will be coming back. And the real seasonings on the pizza? can you say perfect?”

“These are the greatest smoothies I have ever tried inmy long smoothie eccentric life!! It is well worth the 2 hour drive!!! I would give the environment for inside restaurant area a ZERO but that's not possible. The property owner Valerie Hunter really made for a regrettable experience but I will always stand up against her foul attitude and business etiquette for these AMAZING DRINKS. I'm so sorry your employees have to rent from her. Bless your business”

“Great food, large portions, and fair prices. Visited with my mother and she ordered a carne asada burrito and I ordered 3 tacos (Tripe, lengua, and fajita) the tacos were delicious and larger than most other restaurants. Mom enjoyed the burrito and brought half of it home for later. The salsa bar is extensive and fresh too!”

“Expect higher prices than normal for blander food than normal -- a reflection of the socioeconomic area and community of Troutdale.
1. Good variety of food and selection of carts.
2. Clean areas and building.
3. Food is typically bland across all the carts compared to other areas such as The Fork in Wood Village, Gresham Food Carts, Rockwood Market, and pretty much any other food cart area around Gresham/Portland. This is 100% due to catering to the taste of Troutdale's community.
For point #3, using the Thai cart and Mexican cart as standards of spice and heat, they don't ask you spice level when you order (no spice by default for Troutdale folks) and spice levels are incredibly low. Medium spice level here is mild compared to other areas. Troutdale just can't handle spice.
If you end up wanting Mexican here, for the love of god, just walk to the Troutdale Burrito Shop.
This place has size and variety going for it. For flavor and saving your wallet, go to other food cart areas.”

“So, I’ve been here a handful of times since during Covid, and I gotta say, they knock it out of the park every time. That chowder? Must have. I just had some last night. That was leftover from Sunday night, and microwaved. Still phenomenal.”

“We were recommended to visit McMenamins Edgefield while in the Portland area and I'm glad we did! Such an awesome campus full of different bars and restaurants. We ate at the Power Station Pub and it was delicious - loved the space and great service.”
“What a delightful coffee experience. I had a sarsaparilla mocha with anise…very calm chill coffee environment could use a few acoustic panels but definitely gonna make it a stopping point anytime I’m driving east on 84.”

“Tita’s Kitchen is hands-down one of my favorite food trucks! If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out. My go-to is The Chicharrón sandwich. Slow-cooked pork, sweet potatoes (trust me, it works), a killer Peruvian sauce, criolla sauce, and the freshest bread! I could eat this every day and never get tired of it. If you haven’t been, GO. You’ll thank me later!”
“They have the best coffee and the nicest team. My favorite part of my day!”

“If there is one drive-through that is truly worth the wait, it’s Sugarpine Drive-In. 💛🙌 Heading out toward Mount Hood and the breathtaking Oregon Gorge, you’ll find this small, unassuming spot that was once a gas station—now transformed into an upscale, thoughtfully designed, and wildly comforting drive-in. This is not the place you want to skip when you’re on your way to Vista House or Multnomah Falls. The warmth, hospitality, and intentionality behind everything they do makes it feel like a destination, not just a stop. The staff alone deserves a standing ovation. You can tell they truly love what they do, and it shows in every plate they hand out. The food here isn’t just delicious—it’s edible art. First things first: always try the sandwich special of the month. The owners and chefs frequently collaborate with local restaurants, and somehow they manage to create sandwiches that are completely out of this world. Everything is made from scratch, and the rotating monthly specials keep things exciting and seasonal. My top two favorites from the past year: • Albacore Tuna Melt – This one comes around a few times a year and it is perfect. Fresh, clean albacore paired with red onion, mayo, and celery creates a balance that’s both light and hearty. I always add the chili crunch oil (because chili crunch belongs on almost everything ❤️😅), and it takes it to another level. • Pear / Apple Melt (seasonal) – Depending on the season, this sandwich is pure magic. The sweetness of the fruit paired with the bold, savory richness of the cheese creates a flavor combination that literally reminds me of that scene in Ratatouille—an explosion of taste you want to relive over and over again. Perfectly cooked pears or apples, usually a blend of one hard cheese and one soft cheese, chives, and that waffle-style Texas toast… unreal. Their tomato soup deserves its own shoutout too—deep, rich Roma tomato flavor with no cream or dairy, making it perfect for a cool fall day and a big bonus for anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions. 💛 And finally—you must get dessert. I don’t make the rules; I just enforce them. 😌 The handmade soft-serve ice cream is next-level. Every sundae they create is a literal work of art—almost too beautiful to eat (almost). They also offer thoughtful vegan and vegetarian options, doing their absolute best to make sure everyone can enjoy something special. I could honestly go on forever about Sugarpine. We lost our Nordstrom Café here in Clackamas, and I will happily drive out to the Gorge for Sugarpine because it brings back that same feeling—elevated, aesthetically comforting food that feels like home. 12/10 worth the wait. Pro tip: you can order ahead online during the week or in winter when things are quieter. In summer, online ordering often shuts off due to volume—but trust me, the drive-through line is still 100% worth it. ❤️ Yes. It really is that good.👍”

“We attended McMenamin’s Wassail Cider fest in January so we wanted to try more of their ciders and this is what popped up online. We got the cider flight and the red wine flight, both of which were really good. However, the wine flight they gave us 2 of the 4 glasses, then told us to come back to the back for the other 2, which was a bit weird and honestly I wasn’t a fan of. The service was also pretty lackluster, it was walk up service, which seems to be pretty common in the PNW so we’ve grown accustomed to it, but when its walk up service, I expect a little more when I do come to the bar to order. There were two employees, a blonde woman that I’d guess was in her 20s and a middle aged gentleman. The woman was very nice and enthusiastic and seemed eager to help, but the man seemed like he was doing everything he could to avoid serving guests; when I returned to the bar for the second half of our wine flight, he noticed me, but proceeded to drink water, pace around, look in the storage closet, take a step towards me, turn around, take his sweatshirt off, look around again, then finally came up. As a bartender myself, it seemed like all the things that someone does when they don’t want to help a guest, so they try to waste as much time as possible until another co-worker comes to help them. The vibe was pretty cool being in the basement with glass windows all around so you could see the wine barrels, but it was a bit too dark in my opinion, which made it seem kind of dingy being in the basement. I also wasn’t a fan that when you walk in, there are no signs or menus, just brochures advertising other McMenamin’s properties, and the bar is very small with standing room only and very crowded. It reminded me of a busy college bar where I had to fight through to order drinks, but in this case I had to do that just to see a menu, let alone order a drink; not exactly the experience I want from a tasting room. Overall though, it was still unique experience and I’m sure it would be really cool to stay on property, but I don’t think I’d go back.”
“I've shopped here for years; the staff is like family. I enjoy seeing their smiling faces when I come in!”
“I went to this pool hall to check out the pinball machines, I was a bit disappointed. There was a dart machine that made the pinball area a bit crowded. The machines were spendy too but that was not a surprise. I give it 3 stars.”
“Great little spot tucked behind the orchards and the start of the golf course. We like to hit up this spot for the whiskey and great cigars. There is an awesome outside area with fire pits. Cool view of the fruit tree orchards and golf course. Nice bathrooms.”

“One of my fav locations! Easy to grab a drink before I get on the highway. The staff is always friendly & welcoming. They make it known that they remember my face & are personable without being too much. The line usually moves quickly. All the drinks I’ve had from here tasted delicious. Really big fan of the frozen fuels, especially since they have more caffeine than their iced ones. And when I say big fan, I mean obsessed, I can’t drink an iced fuel ever again lol the frozen ones taste so good!
Sometimes around 12pm the line moves slower, which seems to be a staffing issue as there’s only 1 person working, Blackrock please do better & support your staff! There should be 2 employees during lunchtime! The staff on duty is always a busy bee, whipping out the orders as fast as they can but when a car orders 4+ drinks, everyone else in line waits so long since there’s only so much 1 person can do.”

“FAIRLY GOOD FOODStopped by here after a water polo game to have supper with my daughter. The karaage salad was good, but the chicken is garden variety popcorn chicken. It does not taste like it’s been marinated in soy sake and does not have the proper karaage fry.The agedashi tofu was perfect!”
“Gorgeous grounds that you can spend hours walking. This property was formerly a work farm for the local poor. It has been repurposed as a vineyard, hotel, spa, restaurant, bar, golf course and more! There are many events held here but it is absolutely worth a visit even if you don't plan to stay the night. Check out the wine cellar or espresso bar for some great local options, or head inside to the gift shop for some kitschy finds.”
“This was my second trip to the Edgefield and it did not disappoint. The building evokes a feeling of nostalgia for a time gone by. Cozy nooks for reading or visiting, great little “pubs” for a libation, a fun gift shop, and excellent restaurants. We were a group of 3 couples, and sharing “room tours” was a highlight. Watch for surprises hidden in the fabulous artwork. The grounds are gorgeous and a soak in the hot pool is a must. I appreciated the lack of TV’s in the rooms.”

“So first and foremost, they have very good food. We ordered Orange Chicken, House Lo Mein and a special which consisted Fried Rice, Shrimp, Sweet & Sour Pork, and BBQ Pork. We were passing thru and gave this place a chance because we had to stop at the Loves truck stop next door. The worst part about this restaurant is is that it’s “grimy”. Despite wiping our table off, there was still a layer of sticky, tacky something. The restroom doors are the same as well. It needs a thorough cleaning to put it mildly. I love a good greasy spoon restaurant, so if you like Chinese food, it’s worth a visit.”
“Great bartender. Delicious Manhattan, and hands down best shed I've ever had a cocktail in ?. Ohh, and loved that you can buy a full cup of shelled nuts to drop on ground as you eat them for $1.”

“Lucky start is one of the many food carts at Troutdale food station that serves Chinese cuisine. Their food is always fresh and delicious. I am a regular customer and prefer their fresh food for my Chinese food cravings 🤤 Highly recommend these folks. 5 stars for their service and food. God bless 🙏”
“I absolutely adore the 4 ladies that work there, they are so nice and customer is great! Place is always clean, most of the customers are regulars, so it's got a really good vibe.”
“They changed their menu and switched over to an egg batter versus the former buttermilk batter. The buttermilk batter chicken tenders were amazing! They brought a sense of nostalgia when biting into the generously-cut, CRISPY, juicy chicken tenders. The buttermilk batter was what made the tenders soo delicious.
Now…they taste like any other place where I’ve had chicken tenders. They’re not bad, just not anywhere nearly as great as their former self. It was disappointing because the crispiness was no longer there, they reduced the portion size, removed most of the delicious dipping sauces but their worst move was switching to an egg batter. Go back to the old buttermilk batter recipe. This is what made Kickin chicken stand out as having the best tenders in Oregon.”

“Hands down the BEST chicken biryani I’ve ever tried. I drive 40+ minutes 1-2 times a week just to get it because it’s so good. You get so much that we split it between two people and it fills us both up. I’ve tried many other Indian restaurants but none of them compare to this one. Great prices and even better food.”

“I don't do fast food often, but when I'm craving a great deluxe cheeseburger and don't feel like making it at home, this is my spot. Their double cheeseburger with veggies (#5) is the best drive thru burger in the area in my opinion. Fresh and juicy patties, good cheese and veggies, and a soft and chewy bun. Yum! The team at this location is efficient and accurate and I really appreciate that. They haven't let me down yet! Bummed that they discontinued their amazing corn dogs but I'm just a weird duck I guess. Seems like almost all my favorites at different restaurants aren't selling well enough to stand the test of time (including the double decker taco, green burrito, BK broiler, and many more).
Anyways, as far as local DQ's are concerned, this is the stand out location. I can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed here!”
