“This is a great place to go. It's an open and communal type place. You are free to be social. It is something that the people need to help draw us out of our fear of others and to heal from our time of self captivity. The food and the variety are fantastic. It is truly a place for all people to go and be a part of something bigger than themselves.“
“Great stay at Edgefield. I think the negative reviews are expecting this place to be something it’s not. But if you know what you’re getting into (a three-star hotel) going into it, then it easily fits that bill and goes above it. The food? Average. The bedrooms? Average. The soaking pool, proximity to the gorge, and uniqueness? Way above average. It’s a great, quirky, casual resort. Nothing more. Nothing less.“

“as I walked in this worker showed me some great respect, gestures, I gave him the best positive attitude, my plate felt full. I got more than that troutdale food cart yesterday. Sometimes portions shouldn’t matter for health reasons, I’m not complaining . The taste is very enjoyable with the spices, it’s so easy to eat.“

“The food is OK, even though the beer is great! We ordered the fish and chips and the Aztec salad with fried chicken.
The fish and chips were good, although the portion size for the price was a bit disappointing. The remoulade was great though! The chicken on the salad was done really well, but the salad was kind of meh. Definitely not something that keeps a person coming back. Plus, the prices are high in comparison to other places with more interesting menus. It might be time for McMenamins to freshen up their food offerings.
The atmosphere is typical McMenamins, lots of vintage kitsch. It's cool and I love that they bring new life to old buildings and institutions (literally in this case). Service here was fine.“

“Washabi sushi is one of a unique place to try donut and burger sushi. The staffs are pretty nice and friendly. Foods are absolutely delicious and tasty with nice presentations. I would love to come back and introduce my friends to visit this place.“

“I was really excited to see this location as I rarely come out this way - it’s perfect for a stop when doing a Gorge day trip. No one else was in line, which was nice. The barista gave me plenty of options for breakfast, and the lemon bread was delicious. The only issue I had was that I ordered an oat milk blackout, and this is the third time I’ve been given an iced latte? I don’t like asking for a drink to be remade, so I just took it. Since it’s happened before, I always try to speak a little slower so I don’t jumble my words, but I just don’t get the mixup.“

“We stopped to have some biryani on our way to Bend, OR and were pleasantly delighted with the fried chicken biryani. Good flavors, no overpowering masalas and spice level perfect for all eaters. The station is a great place to sit and relax while having good food.“

“Edgefield is probably McMenamins biggest properties. It has a distillery, winery and brewery onsite. The food is pretty good at the various restuarants on property. Its mostly burgers/sandwhiches but done well. They also a small golf course, soaking pools, movie theater and pool hall. All of the alcohol is made onsite and has an extra element of locally produced to it. I recommend getting your McMenamins passport and taking advantage of the perks.“

“We went here for the first time today as a family and Oh My Gosh! First off, that was the most delicious pizza I have ever eaten. The price was very reasonable, The staff was absolutely excellent, quick and very friendly. I also love the outdoor seating option. I honestly give this place a 10/10. We most definitely will be coming back. And the real seasonings on the pizza? can you say perfect?“
