“Disclaimer, I didn't eat the food myself as I'm plant based. Dennis and Auntie makes it homey. When I look at the pictures and food, it feels authentic and rich, yummies families eat. Portions are great. Definitely smells tempting while I'm enroute to deliver these. Ordered BBQ pork skewers for my Greek friend and he can't stop raving about it. He asked me to get more for him on his birthday. Got the pork adobo for another friend. OMG! Delicious! He's a born and raised Louisiana chef so quite judgy when it comes to food. Definitely, ordering some dishes for my visiting family!“

“Incredible food! I was absolutely blown away by how delicious and nourishing my soup was. I had Duk Mandu Guk, a delicious soup with rice cakes and dumplings in a savory broth. My mother-in-law had a yummy bulgogi bento box! I asked if they had dessert but they didn't unfortunately. And then one of the servers came over and brought me two little watermelon slices and made my day. 💖 Also the bathroom was incredibly clean and honestly really well decorated. The restaurant has lovely plants and decorations throughout, even the bathroom! Such a lovely place. I can now see why my Korean grandma-in-law loves this place!! And I had plenty of leftovers to take home too!!“

“8/31/2025 was my 1st time being there! I was meeting friends here! I come in everything was cleaned and I ordered my food and got sushi it was super yummy and worth the money!“
“Had a lunch with here with girl friends. Our server, Aiden, was so fun and amazing! Food was incredible and wine was exquisite! We plan this as a yearly event now. This is a wonderful winery with great service as well as wine and food!“

“Fabulous evening with friends before Christmas. The decorations are warm and welcoming along with having the talented pianist at the grand piano. I had the most delicious seafood pasta ever. Large prawns and sweet scallops with homemade pasta was scrumptious. My husband had lobster tail on beet risotto. A little skeptical we all had a taste and it was delicious, too. We appreciate Mo’s graciousness and celebrate his almost 35 years in Salem. Our server Stevie, was efficient, friendly and took great care of us. Best restaurant in Salem.“

“First time here. Great experience. Food was fresh and delicious. The service was attentive and the prices were fair. I really enjoyed the Kung Pao chicken. Plenty of fresh veggies, not just onions and celery like you get at some places. Looking forward to a return trip to try something different.“

“Had great food (incredible twister fries) and great beer at this place. Hootenanny is like nothing I’ve ever tried. Great decor, chill vibe, and a killer 90s alt playlist (Deftones, Smashing Pumpkins!). Server was fun and attentive. Not sure what has changed since the last sh1tty review they got but I’d go here again in a heartbeat.“

“Absolutely love this place! everything about was amazing. The food was delicious. Please try the German sausage, you won't be disappointed. The hash browns were crispy on BOTH sides . “After an incredibly fun and enjoyable tasting with Sarah, I purchased all of the wine for my wedding from Honeywood Winery. The wine tasted incredible and it was hard to decide on just three. In addition, Honeywood created custom wine labels for all of the wine bottles that matched the theme of the wedding. Honeywood went absolutely above and beyond to make our experience so unique and special. We got so many compliments on how cute and unique the bottles were and we have kept one to open on our one-year anniversary. This winery is clearly passionate about making great wine and providing an incredible experience. Thank you so much Sarah and Leslie!!! Y'all are incredible!!“
“This is such a memorable winery to visit! A short ten minute drive from Salem, you feel instantly part of the family when you take a seat on their lovely patio. The wines are sublime and the crew is so knowledgeable that I learn something new each visit. The food menu is always so delicious and thoughtfully curated to pair with the wine offerings. A great place to host a gathering (we had an amazing 50th birthday there!) or just grabbing a lunch with a friend. A real Willamette Valley treasure.“

“We've only taken food to go, never ate at CG. But even on a Saturday night when places are packed, I call in an order and I'm told will be ready in 15 minutes! I arrive and the food is bagged and ready to go.
Get home and the food is consistently good quality. Not over-salted or drenched in sauces. Everything is fresh and tasty.
In the absence of Kwans - CG is our go-to for take-out Chinese food!“

“We were in Salem for a concert at the Elsinore Theatre on Friday, November 1st, and were lucky enough to find the Wild Pear, to get something to eat before concert. I wanted to try everything on the menu, it sounded so good! I ordered the Butternut soup & Pear salad. Both were fabulous, & I can't wait to drive back to Salem to check out other items on the menu. We had awesome service and were greeted & shown to a table right away. You will not be disappointed! I will definitely be back, & wish you were closer to Vancouver, WA!!“
“Today, I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Santiam Wine and Bistro. The ambiance and aesthetics here are truly special for Salem, offering a unique flavor that's hard to find elsewhere. The French Onion soup was simply exquisite, and the mushroom lasagna was equally delightful. Pairing my meal with a glass of red wine felt like the perfect finishing touch!I must mention that Courtney's warm and welcoming service added to the overall experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, and I highly recommend this place to others“

“I came to pick up some food for my ailing wife. I was paying and I left a tip, but before he would hand me my food, he rudely asked, “DID YOU LEAVE A TIP?” And wouldn’t let go of the sack until I gave an answer. He didn’t even bother to look at the receipt that I had just signed to see that I did leave a tip. I find this very rude behavior…we always leave generous tips when we go inside to sit down and dine… But to ask is very rude behavior.. I did leave 15% for takeout as well but since he asked, I really wish I would not have. Perhaps someone could school him and tell him this is not good customer service.“

“Staff was prompt and responsive. I ordered the Prime Rib Special. It came out remarkably fast. Medium rare as requested. Unfortunately the baked potato was over done and yet cool. The prime rib was lukewarm. The horseradish sauce was off- I can’t tell why but it had a peculiar flavor that should not have been there. Seasoning of the prime rib was on point and so was the zip sauce. I wasn’t feeling up to potential confrontation so when they asked how the food was I just said good. With prime rib it’s hard because if they warmed it then it might not have come back medium rare…also there was no steak knife but again I didn’t ask“

“on my lunch Pizza that's called the Grubstake, one slice had *half* a slice of Canadian bacon and two pea sized pieces ground beef... the second one had two half pieces of thin thin Canadian bacon and one piece of ground beef..WTH? And even though in the review it says I recommend it, I ***definitely *** did NOT choose that option!“

“What an unbelievable experience. We went to the stomp the grapes event. Such a great atmosphere and fun event. And it helps that the wine tastings were phenomenal. Bought some bottles to take home. The staff were fantastic. A big shout out to Josh Gil one of the ambassadors. His tour and information was exceptional. Outside being a Lions fan, he was great. Def coming to visit again soon and enjoy more wine.“
