The tortillas were fresh, Handmade! I ordered the Pozole. Oh so rich and fragrant and bustling with pork, hominy and a very wonderful broth. Did I mention the tortillas?? Oh Lord!! I plan to bring my three adult children here for my son's birthday. I plan to eat my way through the menu, over the course of the next year or so. I can see that there are many others who love this place. The entire time we were having dinner, there was a steady stream of people coming in for takeout. Yep, this is a gem of a restaurant. Got a hash brown burrito with chorizo instead.
Burrito is decent, big, very big, but simple, lots of hash brown inside, cheese and chorizo.
I was planning to give a mid review but the salsas made up for the mid burrito, salsa is where it's at.
Make sure to take some on your way out.
Got to try more things from them I guess before I make my mind but it's not a bad place to refuel“

“We live close and come here often. The service is great, food and beverage choices are wide ranging, but we all just order our favorites. The bar is well stocked and margaritas are fast and delicious. We have a young child and they’re always considerate and patient with him. I think we’re going to be here even more this summer when the road improvements are done and outside seating is an option.“

“I ate at Verde Cocina en la Perla while at a work conferencein Portland, Oregon. The food was so delicious that I build my entire birthday around eating there! I live in Olympia, Washington. It is over an hour drive but I will keep doing it every few months. I had Arro as my bartender and server both times. He treats you like FAMILY, and this place IS family owned. I even was introduced to the creator of the Horchata French Toast dish. It is so good I cry happy tears thinking about it. Please visit for brunch and order it, you will NOT be sad about it. I don't even use syrup on the French toast, because the Horchata sauce is so so good on its own. The chillequilles are so so good with eggs OR tofu. Arro was awesome in helping us select desserts...the flan is so dang good, and it is #vegan! My wife and I are #vegetarian, but when I went with a coworker, he said that the meat dishes are "fire." I had a drink both times, first was the mango margarita. Tastes fresh and delicious! Had the perfect amount of tequila but tasted like juice...😈 I have also ordered the Paloma. I can't tell which one is my favorite!!! Anyways, do yourself a favor and order. Trust me.“

The lady with the big obvious eyebrows doesn't even bother to get to know us or our order and EVERY time she is there the food is poor quality, dry, the limes are dried up and don't have any liquid in them.. she gives us the smallest amount of chips possible and is just making it very hard to enjoy coming here. I said 5 stars for the food because it really is a great little hole in the wall spot to eat. Best al pastor tacos around!!! But I'm going to find out what days that lady doesn't work just so I can go there and enjoy my food from now on because when she works it's clearly not the standard they should be at.
