“as a truck driver from Texas, it is very hard to find good tacos outside Texas and California. Having said that, awesome food. I'm glad I found yall and will definitely be back every time I get up here.“

“Mr Compadre (aka Señor Buddy) is part of an impressive parque de carritos in Fairview called the Fairview Fork. The facility includes ample indoor and outdoor seating, a full bar, and even a stage for karaoke et al.

To the tacos, though. The carnitas tacos were delicious, everything sparkling fresh and the meat itself a mix of crisped edges and unctuous tender bits. I appreciated the radishes and plentiful lime wedges.

The unexpected highlight here was the chile toreado. In my experience this is usually a deep fried whole chile. At Mr Compadre they split a large jalapeño and sear it on the plancha with some onion petals and plenty of salt. The chile and onions soak up the glaze left by the carnitas. It was easily the best tasting chile toreado I’ve had, and now I am curious how widely their preparation differs. I guess I am fixing to find out.

This spot is every bit as good. In fact, it is better. The extremely kind and attentive service, along with an uh-may-zing salsa bar are beyond words to describe.

“Appetizer selection is priced a bit high. Lunch menu is ample and a good value. Dinner has a dedicated Kids menu. The range is from ala carte portions to regular plate meals to large combo dinners to Feast sized platters in styles common in specific regions of Mexico. Bountiful seafood selections. Everyone is pleasant and personable. I never feel rushed and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, appreciate friendly and efficient service and the wonderful food. Burritos are excellent. Chili relleno is authentic and absolutely delicious.“

“I had my first experience at Margarita Factory (Gresham) tonight and it was better than I imagined. The menu has plenty of options. In fact, just the Margarita menu was over-stimulating. The food is tasty, fast service. And such a kind and accommodating staff. I know people will say “it’s her job to do so,” but coming from someone in a wheelchair who doesn’t have use of her hands, I loved that my waiter kept walking by to refill my glass (it was never empty). I recommend this place for a cute little date night out or with a group of loved ones in celebration.“

“We went for a birthday celebration for my Daughter and GrandDaughter. We did make reservations to get a larger table ready for 12. The atmosphere is upscale and tasteful. Comfortable booths or tables and outside dining are available. I ordered vegan tacos - sautéed onions, peppers, mushrooms, pico, and avocado on soft corn tortillas served with black beans and rice. Delicious and beautifully plated. Their house made flan is creamy, caramel deliciousness and is the best I've had. The fresh squeezed margaritas were made with top shelf tequila. Edwin, the server, was very friendly and attentive. He earned his 30% tip! The prices are just what is expected for food of this quality and the quantity of food makes it worth every penny. And, bonus - the birthday girls wore giant sombreros while they were serenaded with the birthday song and awarded deep fried ice cream! I have eaten at Margarita Factory Hazel Dell before and will go back again and again.“

“I saw the price first and cringed a little. Then I thought about average tamale size and ordered two despite being a little pricier than expected. I only ate one because they are easily three times the size of the average tamale and well worth the (what I now see as) affordable price. The flavor is on point, the filling to masa ratio is perfect (I like heavy on the filling), and the people behind the counter are super friendly. Do yourself a favor and order enough to take home. These tamales are the shiz!“

“The kitchen inconsistency is still an issue. One morning pancakes are the size of silver dollars and another morning they are the size of dinner plates. Also, be aware of the order in which parties were seated. Never a good experience to see a party who came in after your party get their food before you do. On that subject, do your best to have all the food ready to deliver to the table at the same time, even if you have to park a few dishes while you wait on the rest. Nothing fun about the last person served at the table waiting 8-10 minutes for their food while the others have theirs.“

“I eat a lot of burritos. This guy makes such delicious ones. Great mixture of ingredients. Not too heavy on any one type. I believe he cooks the meat fresh as opposed to having everything pre-prepared. He is also super professional. Wears his chef clothes and brings it out to you like a waiter. Super conscientious and aware. Love this spot.“
