“We cannot say enough about our experience at Gran Moraine. We booked our tasting here specifically for the Zena Crown experience. Giancarlo was absolutely AMAZING! So much great information was provided during our welcome to the winery, a tour of the processing and wine making facility, and the tasting itself. The staff was so helpful when I called to book as well. We had a larger group doing a tasting plus and smaller group not tasting including an infant in our party. They made sure everyone felt equally welcome and taken care of. The charcuterie was so tasty as well and beautifully curated. We chose to become members of the winery during our tasting as well and we can't wait to continue to enjoy the wine at home. We really look forward to visiting again!”

We had Eric as our guide and he was a wealth of knowledge (as well as a great photographer for group shots).They were very accommodating when we ran into some transportation issues too. The winery has such a cool history and amazing views! This is a must do when visiting the area!”

“We went here when it was Lago De Chapala and didn’t have a great experience (food was meh). But on a whim, we decided to stop by tonight after dropping our daughter off at the football game in town. We ordered the chimichanga and carne asada burrito, and they were absolutely amazing. Nothing like the photos in the older reviews here. The majority of mediocre/poor reviews are from when the business was Lago De Chapala. It’s under new ownership and we can tell! Looking forward to returning!”

“Just passing through town and stopped for a late lunch. I sat outside since the indoor dining room was empty and didn’t seem inviting. I got garlic parm wings and a side of baked beans. They came out pretty quickly. The wings had some chicken gravy or similar on them which was disappointing since I prefer my wings to be crispy. Otherwise it was okay.”

“I’ve eaten at Blind Pig several times and always had a great meal. Last Friday (February 27) I had the absolute best smash burger I’ve ever had. ANYWHERE. Lots of grilled onions, I had grease running down my arms. DELICIOUS!!! I don’t know if they have a new cook or what, but now I dream of that burger and can’t wait to go back.”

“We were at Humble Spirit last night and were blown away by our meal . We started with the meatballs and veggie platter, we had the pasta, chicken and the daily special of duck. Every one of the meals was absolutely divine !! The pasta is by far one of the best pasta dishes I have ever eaten. I highly recommend you try Humble Spirit !”

While the wines were excellent as was the setting, what really made it an experience to remember was the hospitality we received from Alice. We have done our fair share of winery tastings over the years and the ones that end up being memorable are the ones where the hospitality is on par with, if not exceeds, the wine itself. “A Must-Visit Lunch Spot in McMinnville! Every time I visit McMinnville, this restaurant is at the top of my list—and once again, it did not disappoint! In fact, my friend and I loved it so much that we had lunch here twice during our trip. The corn chowder was absolutely fantastic—so creamy with just the right amount of seasoning. My friend enjoyed the ½ Turkey Sandwich, while I devoured the Chicken Cashew Salad, which was fresh and delicious. The broccoli cheddar soup was just okay, but the tomato vegetable soup was a standout, according to my friend. And let’s not forget the in-house wheat bread—fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to our meal. Our waitress, Andrea, was incredible! I highly recommend asking for her—she was attentive, friendly, and made our experience even better. To finish, we split a lemon cupcake—our only regret was sharing it! Joseph was amazing very uplifting and vibrant personality took me through a flight of wines. I amc not a fan of SB but its every where in Australia and New Zealand. So gotta say this is probably the best one I have tried in thr States to date. Liked the Pinot Noir range also.”
