“For years my family has been searching for truly authentic Mediterranean cuisine— after tonight the search is over! Sahara is our new favorite restaurant. The quality and freshness of each ingredient in every dish that they serve sets this restaurant apart from all the others by miles. The flavor of each dish was exquisite and tells a story of the hard work and many hours that go into crafting each bite. The service was fantastic, and it was such a pleasure learning more from the owner Tom about how they prepare their incredible food. We ordered the family dinner platter with skewers of chicken, beef, and lamb— all of the meats and grilled vegetables were marinated, cooked, and seasoned to perfection. The platter came with the shepherd salad, which was all made fresh upon ordering and had a great lemon dressing. The platter also included their fresh pita bread and hummus, which were incredible! The French fries included in the platter were delicious as well. We ordered an appetizer of their stuffed grape leaves too, which were out of this world! For dessert, we had their homemade baklava, which only further sealed the deal that this restaurant is our new family favorite! If we could give Sahara more than a perfect review, we would! After spending over 14 years living and traveling in Europe, it has been difficult to find a restaurant that matches the quality and freshness of the food served overseas— Sahara achieved that and more! I cannot recommend them enough! You will not be disappointed!“

“I've been looking for a new Mediterranean restaurant for a while, and my daughter and I decided to give this a try.I have a new Mediterranean restaurant! The beef shawarma was amazing. It was so good that we both polished ours off without a second thought. Absolutely delicious, fresh, and seasoned flawlessly.The namoora was phenomenal. I hadn't had any in quite some time and when saw it on the menu, we had to try it. We also got some baklava and it was also incredibly good.Long story short, the staff care about their customers, the food is delicious, and I will most definitely be visiting this place often!!Just go. “I visited for the first time today, in the Allentown Farmer's Market at the fairgrounds, and boy, was I ever impressed! They had a tremendous variety of delicious looking foods. I say delicious "looking" because I couldn't order ALL of it, but what I DID get was top notch! Also, the staff was very friendly and we chatted for a while. Don't miss it. And try the moussaka; you won't regret it.“

“Probably THE.BEST.BREAKFAST I have had in a very long time. The saltiness of the halloumi with the creamy, perfect poached egg and freshness of the pesto was a match made in heaven. And honestly, that is saying a lot for me, because I am not a huge breakfast fan, but I would hands down order this again, and again and again. I don't have much else to say. Out waitress was great. We didn't have a reservation (which I don't recommend on the weekend... this place is POP.U.LAR) but the hostess gave us a table if we could be done in 75 minutes, in time for an 11:45 AM seating. Despite that, they did not rush us. The place does appear to be a neighborhood haunt, just about everyone who came through the door seemed to know, what I presume is the owner or manager, as well as the staff. So there was definitely a nice, casual vibe to the place. I honestly need to come back for dinner, if breakfast, a meal I generally don't care about was this good, what other surprises await?!?“

The food was absolutely fantastic, with a wide range of delicious options that satisfied every palate at our table. I personally had the chicken and waffles, which were simply amazing. While enjoying our meal, I encountered an unexpected hiccup when I found a small piece of plastic in my dish, which turned out to be from a part of a plastic lid. However, I must commend the swift and professional response from the restaurant's manager, Tony. He immediately sprang into action, addressing the issue with grace and efficiency. Tony's dedication to ensuring our satisfaction truly made the difference in our dining experience. “Our sever Raven provided excellent service for lunch and a takeout order on 4/15/24. An appetizer of cheesesteak eggs rolls and loaded house nachos and some firehouse chili. All excellent!! A takeout burger with fries also proved to be very good also. Recommended!“

“Damascus makes some of the most delicious and best authentic Middle Eastern food that you will find in the greater Lehigh Valley. The food if so incredibly rich with flavors. I grew up eating in a middle eastern home with lots of authentic cooking and I promise you that this is the spot to grab some food if middle eastern cuisine is what you are in the mood for. “Just wow. The owner is an angel sent from heaven….The jerk chicken was powerfully flavored and falling off the bone. Unique and exquisite! The curry roti was like a giant wrap except roti is so soft and succulent, filled with wholesome curried meat! Great value for the price. She also had the best sodas here.One thing I can’t describe well enough is the magic of her presence. You will feel at home here, and you can see the love in the plants, the music, and of course it’s in the food. If you come here don’t just order a sandwich, the name is outdated. Try the real food. The servings are hefty and the flavor is out of this world.“

“Went there today before going to Wind Creek to play some Slots. We stumbled upon this place right before the pandemic and fell in love with it. This was our first time back since then and it did not disappoint. The food is outstanding and the people that work there are fantastic. We will be back probably in a few weeks. If your anywhere in the area the historic downtown area of Bethlehem Pa is is quaint but beautiful. All you have to do is top it off with a delicious meal from Casa Del Mofongo and maybe some winnings from the casino and you had a great day.“

“Very cute little spot with traditional food. First time here I got the bowl with white rice, black beans, pork, sweet plantains, and cheese on top. They give you this green garlic sauce that's really good. Prices aren't bad either.“

“We chose Morgan’s for our son’s rehearsal dinner. I worked with Patty for the planning over the past few months and everything was perfect and as promised. We were able to come in a bit early to decorate the tables to go with the wedding theme. Service was superb, everything at a good pace, did not feel rushed. We had a group of 26 and staff was absolutely amazing. At several times during the evening, our guests thanked us for the beautiful evening. I am so glad our son and future daughter-in-law had a night to remember. If I had to redo the evening, I would not change a thing.“

“Afghan Kababs & Grill. Is wondeful spot. This place is nice and quiet. If you want a peaceful place to enjoy your meal here it is. The food is mouth watering. Meat is nice juicy and tender. “A real hidden gem in the Bethlehem / Allentown area! This is a pleasant little diner with a traditional feel, great food and really good prices. Stopped in around noon on a Friday in April 2024 and didn't have to wait for a table. Service was quick and we had a very filling lunch of soup & sandwiches. Can get a little noisy inside, but this place is still definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.“

“Good, solid, local spot for beers and cocktails. Sometimes you can't get exactly what you want due to a lack of ingredients (they don't have everything needed for an Old Fashioned). It's clean inside and the staff are very friendly and attentive. However, it's not super "nice" inside. It's not bad, but it's not wow. “Long story short, the food is fresh, made to order and tasty. Ordered catering for a baby shower. A tray of chicken parm, baked ziti and got a comp tray of garlic bread since I didn't get the discount I hoped for. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the pasta was cooked well. The service is great, the owner Jerry and his family are a delight to speak with and helpful. We felt like part of the fam since they are from Brooklyn, NYC. Cons - avoid the booths. When someone sat down at the booth behind me, the shared seat back smacked me in the back of the head. And every time she moved it jostled me. If we are in the area again, we may stop. But we can get similar fare elsewhere.“

The Allentown Farmers market inside the grandstands is an old meets new blend that works fantastically offering every from Penn Dutch standards to Asian fare. Think future shock under ground society crossed with a European food hall. Among the variety of offerings is Loan's Vietnamese, a postage stamp of a restaurant that spills into the hallway with it's tables. Mr Loan is a flurry of activity taking orders, waiting tables and keeping the area spic and span. A limited menu, probably guided by the minute kitchen offers classics like Pho and Bahn Mi and one off daily specials . LH and I did a lap in the hall and of course opted for Loan's. Fresh food with quick ish service it was a great choice. I don't know if there's a lot of Vietnamese food in Allentown but if this is it that's fine. So tour the food hall but leave room for Loan's Loan's. You can bank on it. Go!“

“I have been yearning for delicious, authentic Mexican food since 2019 when I stayed with a friend in the very South most area of Texas and we had crossed over into Mexico to eat authentic Mexican food. Let me tell you- Sweets Grill and More has satisfied this craving. I bought tamales, chicken enchiladas with white sauce, and Mexican rice from them. I’d post pictures but the food didn’t last long enough to be able to take pictures! 11 out of 10, honestly. The service that was provided when buying the food was exceptional as well. They are made along with the chickens and benefit from the extra flavor. They are popular so get into the market early. Not inexpensive. There is some seating across the aisle.“
