“I've never been a big “raw fish” fan but took my daughter here for her birthday because she is a sushi/sashimi lover. Well Otaru changed my mind in a big way. The caliber of their fresh fish was so incredible, the flavors/texture and quality is next level, and really eye opening to the poor quality served in so many restaurants. I had two nigiri to try and sadly ordered a main (which was also delicious) but next time I know to go for the experience (which my daughter had). The sake was exquisite, their cocktails were perfect (try the Sakura Samurai and Lychee martini) and the mustard sauce on the salmon dish was perfection. I left with a new appreciation and taste for sushi/nigiri that I would have swore was impossible. Highly recommend and encourage anyone who isn't a sushi fan, this is the place to try it and change your mind - when it's done right.“

“I recently ate at Kiku and the sushi was the best I have ever eaten. The sushi was fresh and delicious, as it has been every time I have eaten there. It is definitely the best sushi in the area. You can taste the true flavor of the fish without sauces or spices. At Kiku you will enjoy an authentic sushi experience that won't disappoint.“

“We dined at Nor Fish nor Fowl and had a substandard meal. Golden Gai is with the same group and we were hesitant to go after our esperience with the previous restaurant. We sat at the counter. The culinary staff were very friendly and engaging answering various questions about the menu. Chris, our server, was very knowledgeable about the food and beverage selections and the flow of service was very smooth. All in all a very pleasant dining experience and we wouldn't hesitate to return when back in Pittsburgh.“

“When we need something fast, at a great value and tasty, we had yo yhe Mall food court and get Sarku Japan’s chicken or shrimp cooked on the hibachi. You get a protein, vegetables and either steamed rice, fried rice or noodles for an extra charge.The service here is fast and friendly, the chefs work very fast and hard all day pumping out the delicious teriyaki chicken or shrimp. My wife asks dor mo sauce and they make here chicken separate on the hibachi.The quantity they give you is a lot and we never leave here hungry. They even will add extra chicken for an up charge, but unless you are very very hungry, it is not needed. They also do a small porion of just rice and chicken.We have been goung here for many years and it is a great place for fast, healthy, tasty and reasonable priced food for lunch or dinner.“

“I have too many words to share to describe this establishment. Tonight was my first experience dining here, after a day date with my boyfriend we decided we were in the mood for hibachi. The first mistake we made was driving from Robinson to Carnegie to dine at Benihana‘s. Within thirty minutes of being there, we left (but that’s another story) Unsatisfied and still very hungry, we decided to stop in at Sapporo’s. They didn’t open until 4:30 (at this time it was 4PM) and noticing the website says reservations only, I called to make sure it was okay we dine in. The man on the phone said what time can you be here and I informed him we were already in the parking lot. He told me “I’ll see you in thirty minutes” The moment we walked in we already knew we made the right decision. The table we sat at was full of kind people. Everyone was talking, sharing stories, laughing etc. it literally felt like we were sitting at the dinner table with FAMILY. The chef came out who happens to be the owner. A one man show, and boy did he kill it! The food was so fresh. I had the filet and scallops and it was cooked to perfection. Not only did he make a great meal. He shares stories himself, took the time to actually enjoy our company and show his appreciation that we were there. He must be the sweetest man I’ve ever met. His wife was very pleasant as well! The waitress was so accommodating and very on top of things with her being the only one there. I honestly think this is the longest review I ever made… I could go on and on but long story short, you will NOT be disappointed with Sapporos.! Living nearly 5 minutes away, this will be our forever date night spot!“

“Little Tokyo Restaurant is in Mt. Lebanon near Pittsburgh, PA. LTR has hibachi, udon and Ramen bowls, sushi and other options. The food was great as was the service. We had steak and shrimp hibachi, yummy roll (shrimp tempura inside with crab), udon bowl and a spicy tuna hand roll. The only complaint is how loud it was inside. At times it was difficult to hear the conversation at our own table. I would return if I'm in the area again.“

“We ate here on Christmas Day and the staff was so courteous. My son mentioned that he is vegetarian and the chef made his food before any meat touched the griddle. If you are a Panda Express fan, this is pretty much the best you can get in the area. The General Tso + Lo Mein were delicious. We have tried the orange chicken here before- not my favorite (it was flavorless). The portions are huge so it ended up being multiple meals. Each portion is around 2lb. Will definitely be back!“

You order and pay for your meal through your phone, but you can ask for a physical menu and to pay with cash if needed. The staff are wonderful, always smiling and are quite quick. Water pitcher is provided for the whole table instead of one single cup per person, and the boba tea is even better.

Came here with a friend on a Sunday, so free parking on the sidewalks. Easy to find and easy to get seating too. Definitely plan on coming back next time we are in town!“

“My family and I had a great time. Our chef was not the most entertaining we'd ever had but the kids enjoyed it. Healthy portions. There were six in our party and they conveniently did an auto gratuity (18%). I try to tip generously anyway but it REALLY annoys me when it is auto added. Regardless, it was still a pleasant experience. The restaurant experience was clean. The bathrooms were a 4/5. Not horrible but definitely could use some attention.“
