“A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. The owners go way out of their way to make you feel welcomed and happy and very satisfied. A must visit when you are lucky enough to get a reservation though other friends have happily sat at the bar for dinner just to be there!! Kudos to Dish!“

“This location was recommended for a medical school reunion in Pittsburgh by our alumni association. The food was excellent and the portions very generous. We did the family style dining for a large group, and it was very well received. One of my Italian classmates sate the the Cacio e Pepe was the best that he had tasted outside of Milan. “My friend and I met for dinner and had a delightful experience. Our server was personable and very knowledgeable on the menu. I chose the flatbread which was incredibly flavorful and filling and she chose the roasted chicken with purple carrots. It was also very delicious. I would definitely recommend trying this place out and I will definitely get back here in the near future.

Vegetarian options: There were lots of items on the menu marked vegetarian. It is easy to get a meatless option here.

“Awesome small restaurant in the Strip. Exactly what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary-cozy, calm, super tasty. I also think price is genuinely super worth it - $45 per person for 2 courses + tip is crazy. First course comes a bit small as expected, but second course was surprisingly filling. Scallops were great, duck pappardelle was super rich, sausage ragu was very flavorful. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a small restaurant that knows what it’s doing. Even treated us to glasses of sparkling wine on the house!“

“This place is absolutely incredible! From the cool modern atmosphere (and great music) to the impeccable food with flavor so amazing I’ve never tasted anything like it before. I highly recommend the spicy meatballs as an appetizer and the baby carrots as a side dish. It was so nice being able to view the chefs cooking in the open kitchen from the dining room. Dominic our server was 10/10 and certainly added to this wonderful experience.

“my boyfriend and i tried pelegrino’s after we got sent a menu from them in the mail. we each got a pizza, and the cost was INCREDIBLY lower than the other pizza places we’ve ordered from. they deliver as well, which is nice. what i also appreciate about pelegrino’s is the option for online ordering, which allows me to pay & tip so i don’t have to fumble whenever the delivery comes. it takes some time, but it’s always worth the wait; we’ve never been disappointed!! this is our go to pizza spot!!“

“We have been going to Piccolo Forno for years. It is my favorite restaurant. The staff is outstanding. The food is creative and menu items are changed regularly to make use of seasonal ingredients. There are so many delicious choices on the menu that it is difficult to decide what to order. The food is reasonably priced and the corkage fee is less than most restaurants. This restaurant is a gem for anyone who loves delicious Italian food!“

“Hands down best pizza on Route 8 without question. Generational family owned pizza shop who remember their customers like close friends or family. All of the food is great, however the Primavera pizza is a personal favorite along with the Italian or steak hoagies. The Grande Special Sicilian is an absolute wonder, the cheese reseals the cut if you get what I’m saying. I was coming to you guys as a kid when you were in the strip mall across 8, super happy when I get to have a friendly chat picking up the food!

“We order takeout from Armstrongs Express quite often and it’s always consistently good! My husband loves their wings. We’ve tried a lot of items on the menu and are always satisfied and full. The staff is so friendly and kind!! I also love that they have a few parking spots reserved for takeout costumers since that parking lot can get busy. Only downside is that they are closed on Sundays when we often want to order takeout“

“I found this place via Google and decided to take a shot and try it for my birthday dinner tonight. I’m so glad I came upon it because it’s my new favorite Italian restaurant. “What a surprise! My daughter chose this for her moving away dinner…we had never been there so wasn’t sure what we would get… it was absolutely delicious! “I moved to Pittsburgh about two years ago from New Jersey for my studies. I ended up living around the corner from this place for about a year before moving to Shadyside. This place has consistently had great food, and has always felt like a reliable choice for take out. My friends and I have gotten their pizza, gluten free pizza, cheesy bread, and their wings. We would recommend all of those food items :)

“We stopped here with my son and his fiancé to plan food for their reception and eat. It’s their favorite restaurant. The food was yummy, our server was excellent, and we got our catering squared away! They chose Olive Garden since there is a great variety for vegetarians and carnivores. Her side is all vegetarians, while ours is primarily carnivores. The pasta stations worked great for this! Plus, the lasagna is an add on vegetarian option. Plenty of salad and breadsticks and the menu was set perfectly!
The day of the wedding the food arrived on time, was set-up for us, and was hot and delicious! They were outstanding!

Vegetarian options: My daughter-in-law and her entire family are vegetarians, while my son and our side are not. Olive Garden works great for both the vegetarians and the carnivores! Everyone loved the food, had great choices, and plenty to eat!“

“This is my pizza place. Everyone has their choice, and this one is mine. Florence serves a fantastic cheese pizza with a slightly crispy crust with a perfect balance of sauce and cheese. They don't spoil their cheese pizza with provolone and have a great sauce that isn't sweet and holds on the pizza perfectly.

Florence also offers other food that is great. Their pesto margarita was a wonderful change of pace with a homemade pesto sauce lovely globs of mozz.

The choices of 5 sizes of pizza allow you to get a small pie if it is just you at home or a jumbo pie that feeds the whole family.

Their store is small up front, but they make up for it with some of the nicest folks in Pittsburgh. New to the area, they are loving the town here and quickly making themselves at home here in the North Hills.

In a town that has a pizza shop in every plaza, Florence stands out with high-quality ingredients, great pizza, and a fantastic family run shop. I look forward to many more delicious pizzas and lots of other options from their menu.“
