“Haven’t had a bad meal yet!!!“

“A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. The owners go way out of their way to make you feel welcomed and happy and very satisfied. A must visit when you are lucky enough to get a reservation though other friends have happily sat at the bar for dinner just to be there!! Kudos to Dish!“

“This location was recommended for a medical school reunion in Pittsburgh by our alumni association. The food was excellent and the portions very generous. We did the family style dining for a large group, and it was very well received. One of my Italian classmates sate the the Cacio e Pepe was the best that he had tasted outside of Milan. I would strongly recommend this location for really first rate Italian food and a great atmosphere“

“First time dining at Senti. Not a big menu to choose from, but what you do get is quality. The apps were very good to start the evening and the dinners were excellent. Nice portions and very tasty. Drinks are very good and paired nicely with dinner. We will definitely be back.“

“Came here for a belated birthday celebration with a friend. Highly recommend! Great food and fabulous service. I got the pork chop, which was perfectly cooked and came with a terrific sauce. My friend got the flatbread and the mushrooms as a meal and was very happy. Our waiter was super personable and kept a close eye on everything - I was really impressed by his attention to detail.
Keep in mind that tables do have a 90 minute limit. The hostess came up and very politely reminded us at our time and asked us about dessert. We said no, but they kindly brought us some ice cream with candles to celebrate (just a lovely detail!)
I would 100% come back again and I'd love to check out the patio which looks like a lovely, quiet, natural spot to enjoy dinner.“

“Hadn’t been here for dinner in a while and decided to bring my mom for her birthday. The dining area is quite small so I would recommend a reservation! We were seated and greeted promptly. I started with a cocktail which was tasty. For starters, we ordered the focaccia, sformato, and the arancini. The focaccia and arancini were good, but the sformato was the standout. Would definitely recommend ordering if you’re there for the spring menu. For entrees, I had the bolognese bianco which was delicious and just the right amount of richness. My mom had the lamb orecchiette which she said she enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the rosemary hazelnut pana cotta, it was just the right amount of sweetness and something unique. Overall a great meal.“

“Honestly the meatballs here are worth the visit alone - I've never had meatballs that tasted complex, so rich and interesting. Everything was fantastic, their wine menu is superb, the cool atmosphere with the wall of plants - I'm definitely coming back here to try the chicken parm. I had the arctic char as my main and it was delicious, perfectly cooked, just the right amount of food. Also tried the Calabrian pesto, which was A+. Rich, nutty interesting.“

“my boyfriend and i tried pelegrino’s after we got sent a menu from them in the mail. we each got a pizza, and the cost was INCREDIBLY lower than the other pizza places we’ve ordered from. they deliver as well, which is nice. what i also appreciate about pelegrino’s is the option for online ordering, which allows me to pay & tip so i don’t have to fumble whenever the delivery comes. it takes some time, but it’s always worth the wait; we’ve never been disappointed!! this is our go to pizza spot!!“

“We have been going to Piccolo Forno for years. It is my favorite restaurant. The staff is outstanding. The food is creative and menu items are changed regularly to make use of seasonal ingredients. There are so many delicious choices on the menu that it is difficult to decide what to order. The food is reasonably priced and the corkage fee is less than most restaurants. This restaurant is a gem for anyone who loves delicious Italian food!“

“We have gone twice nice- Sooooo Good. The owners are the ones cooking! Joe is a master of the pizza oven. The toppings are perfectly mixed and heated to melt together and the flat bread crust technique should be studied by children!!! It’s BYOB which makes it a reasonable high-end dinner with a clean atmosphere and friendly staff. I cannot recommend it enough!!!“

The staff is so friendly and kind!! I also love that they have a few parking spots reserved for takeout costumers since that parking lot can get busy. Only downside is that they are closed on Sundays when we often want to order takeout“

“Hands down best pizza on Route 8 without question. Generational family owned pizza shop who remember their customers like close friends or family. All of the food is great, however the Primavera pizza is a personal favorite along with the Italian or steak hoagies. The Grande Special Sicilian is an absolute wonder, the cheese reseals the cut if you get what I’m saying. I was coming to you guys as a kid when you were in the strip mall across 8, super happy when I get to have a friendly chat picking up the food!

“I moved to Pittsburgh about two years ago from New Jersey for my studies. I ended up living around the corner from this place for about a year before moving to Shadyside. This place has consistently had great food, and has always felt like a reliable choice for take out. My friends and I have gotten their pizza, gluten free pizza, cheesy bread, and their wings. We would recommend all of those food items :)

“Found this place living at children’s hospital, everyday I just wanted to leave and go here. Never knew what the menu would be like you would just have to go and see for yourself. Something new always. My husband swears they have the best wedding soup hands down. Im completely obsessed with the carrot cake and I will never be able to go or get it anywhere else. “We stopped here with my son and his fiancé to plan food for their reception and eat. It’s their favorite restaurant. The food was yummy, our server was excellent, and we got our catering squared away! They chose Olive Garden since there is a great variety for vegetarians and carnivores. Her side is all vegetarians, while ours is primarily carnivores. The pasta stations worked great for this! Plus, the lasagna is an add on vegetarian option. Plenty of salad and breadsticks and the menu was set perfectly!
The day of the wedding the food arrived on time, was set-up for us, and was hot and delicious! They were outstanding!

Vegetarian options: My daughter-in-law and her entire family are vegetarians, while my son and our side are not. Olive Garden works great for both the vegetarians and the carnivores! Everyone loved the food, had great choices, and plenty to eat!“

“This is my pizza place. Everyone has their choice, and this one is mine. Florence serves a fantastic cheese pizza with a slightly crispy crust with a perfect balance of sauce and cheese. They don't spoil their cheese pizza with provolone and have a great sauce that isn't sweet and holds on the pizza perfectly.

Florence also offers other food that is great. Their pesto margarita was a wonderful change of pace with a homemade pesto sauce lovely globs of mozz.

The choices of 5 sizes of pizza allow you to get a small pie if it is just you at home or a jumbo pie that feeds the whole family.

Their store is small up front, but they make up for it with some of the nicest folks in Pittsburgh. New to the area, they are loving the town here and quickly making themselves at home here in the North Hills.

In a town that has a pizza shop in every plaza, Florence stands out with high-quality ingredients, great pizza, and a fantastic family run shop. I look forward to many more delicious pizzas and lots of other options from their menu.“
