“Very welcoming and friendly staff and the food is absolutely amazing! Met and exceeded my expectations! I've been here for lunch and dinner numerous times and we will definitely be back for more! The menu is amazing and the service matches the food! Looking forward to sitting on the patio when the weather breaks!Dietary restrictions: My Wife has Celiacs and they are extra careful with allergies and dietary restrictions.“
“it was absolutely outstanding! Every dish I tried was a burst of flavors, and the presentation was top-notch. The chef's creativity truly shone through in each bite. Whether you're a fan of seafood, steak, or vegetarian options, they have something to satisfy every palate.“
“Beyond being some of the (if not the sole) best Italian food I have ever had, what stands out most about Dish Osteria is their commitment to true hospitality; we arrived early to have drinks at the bar, and from the start we were treated with care and true personal interest. The bartender was so insightful and walked us through the menu, answering any questions we might have so that we could order our dinner with ease (it was last Wednesday at 8PM— I forget his name, but please give him his flowers. He was amazing!). I had the Little Bird bourbon cocktail and absolutely loved it. This level of care continued as we moved to our table for dinner. Our waiter and host went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal, refreshing our bread without us having to ask (that homemade focaccia was dangerous— we couldn’t stop eating it!), suggesting wine pairings, and also allowing us to taste two options when we couldn’t choose. Every single dish we ordered was phenomenally crafted and delicious ; we ordered the Gamberi shrimp and grilled artichoke salad to start, followed by the short rib ragu gnocchi and rigatoni with smoked scamorza for our entrees (I will dream about both of these dishes for some time). For dessert, we had the lemon cello cheesecake, which was perfectly balanced with sweet and tangy flavors. Our waiter also provided us with a complimentary glass of moscato with our dessert. This was a phenomenal first experience at this restaurant and I cannot wait to come back. I’m also gifting a visit here to some of my friends for their anniversary and can’t wait for them to try it as well!“
“Came here after receiving a gift card a few months ago and loved it so much decided to return for a special occasion, once again DiAnoia’s did not disappoint. The menu had different items this time around, but we could not be happier with our selections. The drinks/food came out at the perfect time, our fried mozzarella and pasta dishes were still steaming when brought to the table, the entire staff including our waitress were all extremely friendly and accommodating even with a packed house. Can’t recommend DiAnoia’s enough!“
“Steve and I enjoyed our Easter dinner at Senti. Chef Antonio created a very fresh Linguine Con Vongole with rapini and brought back his Pollo Valdastana, which was do flavorful with ham and fontina cheese. We enjoyed our time with Holly at the bar and talking with Franco. We just. love the welcoming atmosphere here.“
“Wendy the waitress was amazing. She did a fantastic job and was always there to serve our needs. The pasta on the menu was amazing as was all the sides we had. The only down side was that I wanted a Bolognaise pasta and Wendy told me that it was not on the menu, but they could make up a batch for me. First off, unlike the other pasta's on the menu that were amazing, the Bolognaise dish that the chef threw together for me was mediocre at best. Not to mention, I was charged $46 for the sauce and $3 for the noodles? For a plate of pasta that was not good at all. When all of the other dishes offered much more of a delicious pasta at half the cost. Long story short, don't order off the menu and you will enjoy this very much.“
“My wife, our son Declan, and myself stopped in for lunch around 1 on a Saturday. Service was great and they were very accommodating to our 9 1/2 month old son, providing a high chair as soon as we were getting seated. The staff was very friendly and engaged us in light conversation. We got a medium pizza with italian sausage that was absolutely amazing and cheese ravioli with meat sauce, also very delicious. The restaurant has a very cozy, traditional feel that we loved. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit and mad it was my first time there after living in the area for over 20 years.Kid-friendliness: Very accomodating to our son, giving us plenty of napkins, plates, and some crackers to snack on.“
“Love coming here for the extra cheesy pizza! The workers always have great personalities and work really quickly to get the food out. If you are a cheese lover this pie is for you. So good and a pittsburgh must have. The shop itself has such a great vibe with the old nostalgic pizza joint feel. I've had some other things on the menu and truthfully everything has been solid. Really enjoy their pasta dishes as well. Super reasonably priced and large portions. Parking can be kind of wonky so keep your eyes peeled because if you blink, you could miss it. Great service, fantastic pizza. Always a good experience“
“When I arrived damen greeted me with a big smile and made me feel welcomed before I even had the chance to look at the menu He then helped me pick out a good salad which was delicious by the way He provided me with the upmost pleasureable visit If he is here again I would definitely “
“Good craft beer selection!!Fried appetizers and even the clam strips were really good. Took a steak hoagie Togo and ate it for 3 days straight without even needing to heat it up 1) cuz the bread never staled or got soggy in the fridge 2) cuz the flavor was just that good “
“Vivo always delivers an outstanding experience. The menu is limited, focused, and impossible to categorize. We often share a few items from the appetizer section, but also have some of the entrees, which feature, in addition to great food, reasonable portions (like in Europe). It's our favorite place.“
“Can’t rate this place high enough. Every time my family has dined in we are treated like family and leave with full bellies and happy hearts. We love to come as large groups and order from their Family style menu for larger portions to charge. The Roman pizza is unique in the area and we love it. The homemade pasta divine is our favorite. The espresso martinis are made with in-house vanilla infused vodka and real espresso! 20 drafts on tap! Wine on tap for Prosecco floats?! We always make sure to save room for the best gelato in the states! So many tasty options. We recommend the Wild Italian Cherry and the Orange Julio with candied oranges. The sweat cream topped with espresso affogato style is to die for ? The whole team are rockstars. Reservations are easy to make and change online. We love the clean open kitchen and the vibe of the dining room space as well as the bar.Kid-friendliness: Foosball table!Wheelchair accessibility: Multiple entryways, ramp to bar“
“We forgot to take photos of the salads but they were great. The candied walnut apple chicken salad with champagne vinegrette was delicious. The boys split the carrot cake and highly recommend. The deep dish pizza was a favorite too. My husband liked the house Italian dressing too. Our server was great too. Definitely a favorite.“
“Awesome vibes and food! This place was spotlessly clean and well lit, everyone is incredibly friendly, service staff and even the cooks were so helpful, welcoming, and kind! We got homemade meatballs, zucchini tower, and homemade tiramisu and every single single was just to die for!!! Drinks were strong and cheap and the pool table is well taken care of!Kid-friendliness: High chairs available, bar in the front and laid back dining area in the back“
“Dined for lunch with a group of 14 ladies. Nikki was our server and was wonderful. . .fast, pleasant, just all around good. I like Spots and I like Frangelico; so, I tried the Frangelico Spots. Not saying they were bad, just not my cup of tea. Everyone was very pleased with the experience.“
“What can I say… what can I say… that has not already been said about the cathedral of pizza that is Pizza Bosa. Upon walking in I was greeted with the smell of fresh pie and was handed the menu with a friendly greeting from the man behind the counter. Got 12 Hot wings which came out beautifully presented on a paper plate, they tasted just as good as they looked. On my next visit I plan to order the Seafood Salad, which I’ve heard is a Pittsburgh hidden gem.“
“Most everything was great, but the quality of the bread was disappointing. For an Italian restaurant like this I expected better. Too soft and nothing to it.The wedding soup and ravioli were excellent as was the greens and beans but I' add another green other than spinach.Wonderful experience. Get better bread!“
“An authentic Italian experience, in a small restaurant off the beaten path. My boyfriend took me for Valentine’s Day. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection. I ordered scallops over pasta. The scallops were browned in butter, tender and succulent. The pasta was hand made. The Italian bread was home made. My friend’s spaghetti bolognese was pilled high and mighty tasty. Even the pairing of wine suggestions were spot on. The father and son do most of the cooking and baking. And they are Italians. We passed the pastry counter on our way out, so I filled a box with beautiful cannolis, cookies and tarts and spent the rest of my boyfriend’s money. All good!“
“We had a wonderful dinner. The food was prepared perfectly by Executive Chef Nick Senske and his team. The cauliflower and truffle dip was sooo delicious as was the carrott appetizer. We shared three pasta dishes, all were delicious. The Short rib casserchia was very tasty! We will be back.“
“This is a great place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. They make custom menus with your name(s) for the occasion! The food is really good. GET THE MEATBALL APPETIZER! The vibes are immaculate in the old school building with old pulley ceiling fans.“
“Hands down the best pizza in Robinson…possibly in all of Pittsburgh. Their prices are reasonable and their free breadsticks deal is unmatched! Idk how they do it, but you’ll know what I mean by the first taste. Customer service is on point too, Rindha is always smiling and friendly when I come in to pick up my take out order. Quality spot all around ? (p.s. they have tiramisu!)“
“Went here for dinner. I had the gnocchi bolognese and it was terrific. They don't over salt their dishes and the portion was big. My wife had the chicken Parm and that was very good too. They use a thinner breading which doesn't make for a crunchy chicken cutlet. The place is cozy but that just adds to the atmosphere. And the service was great as well.I would definitely recommend a reservation as a smaller place this good fills up quick.“
“This place is amazing, the pizza is so awesome, the baked goods are so good, they have these cherry and cheese Danish type pastry, they have a specific name i forget, but WOW they are amazing, there is cherry, apricot and a few others and I'm sure they are all as good as the cherry....The staff is always awesome too ?“
“I have had the good fortune to be a customer of Fioris for over 40 years! My ex husband worked at the Brookline location when he was a teenager and Fiori and Pepino were family friends. I have lived in several places and have tried hundreds of pizza shops in my lifetime and I can honestly say that nothing beats Fioris, not even Via Napoli at Walt Disney World! My personal recommendations are pepperoni pizza (they put the pepperoni under the cheese) and a meatball sub "my way" which simply means extra sauce and extra cheese. Thank you Fiori for coming to Pittsburgh from your beautiful country and gracing us with both your exceptional food and engaging personality...I fixa you up! ;)“
“What a great idea to have a "fast food" shop just 1/2 block from the actual full service, very busy restaurant. With fresh, refrigerated, and frozen food, bread, sandwiches, the restaurant favorites, without the wait. No seating, just an order counter, with wonderful staff, anxious to help. Go!! You will not be disappointed!“
“This is a fantastic restaurant serving creative pizzas, salads, appetizers and an assortment of entrees ranging from brisket Mac and cheese (my favorite) to salmon, steak and sometimes duck. A very nice feature is that every salad can be bought as a half portion. They do not take reservations, so it's walk in only, but we had no wait getting a party of 7 in around 5 pm. They do get busy by 6. The carnivore, Mediterranean and Forest pizzas are great. The Calabrian could have used more Calabrian chilis. Anything with the house smoked pork belly (bacon candy, BLT salad, carnivore, pesto) is worth getting. My favorite, though is the brisket Mac and cheese. As I wrote in my blog on the best restaurant mac and cheese dishes across the country, "This comes in a hearty ceramic bowl featuring fresh cavatappi spirals in a white cheddar sauce, punctuated by wood-smoked beef brisket, caramelized onions, and a perfectly balanced deep red, tart-sweet barbecue sauce."Service is fabulous. Our waiter did separate checks for our table, and made up a version of southern sweet iced tea using simple syrup for my husband. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants to enjoy before a show in the cultural District.“
“One of the best sandwiches around. Tried for the 1st time yesterday. The very next day I couldn't stop thinking about the sandwich and ended up there today.. Even bought a T shirt because of how good of an experience it was. Everyone working is extremely nice, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend to all of my friends and family. Perfect place for a hungry Italian!“
“What a charming little place. My friend and I dined here for a little “girls’ night out”, and I’m so thankful that we did. Our server, Kelsey, made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. The atmosphere is cozy, bright, and inviting. Both of us got seafood pasta dishes, and I had to stop myself from eating the whole thing so I could have leftovers! The tiramisu was delicious…and a very hefty portion size of it, too. We split a bottle of wine from their shop next door, and Kelsey brought it to our take for us so we didn’t have to move. Generous portion sizes, excellent food quality, and a very reasonable price point. The service was excellent. I can’t say enough good things about this place. There are a lot of good Italian restaurants in Pittsburgh, but this is one of my favorites already! Can’t wait to go back.“
“Absolutely incredible. My god. Just like I remembered as a kid. Huge portions. Phenomenal meatballs. Intoxicating gnocchi. I mean, why couldn't this place have opened back up years ago???? IVE BEEN WAITING FOREVER!!!! Tremendous bang for your buck. Get ready South Fayette, you're in for a real treat. Home run Oasis. Home run. I'll be back next week to feed my addiction“
“Was looking for a new place to try and have heard great things. Called and spoke with Leah, explained that it was my first time and wanted to know what she recommended. Gave me recommendations. Decided to order the meatball hoagies and the pizza bread, both were great. I wish the meatballs had extra sauce, but I'll order extra next time.“
“Hidden gem. Will be back again. Large plain cheese, perfect. Large House Special, perfect. Sweet sauce, good crust. House Balsamic Dressing is so good. The guy making pizza’s left his kitchen to help jump my mom’s car. You can’t get better service. Great people….when we brought it home everyone who had it said “this pizza is good, where’d you get it?”“
“Been eating at Armstrongs since I was in high school, 20+ years ago. It is the most remarkably consistent food, and delicious every time. You literally can’t go wrong with anything on the menu…I’ve had most all of it over the years. Never, ever anything less than a delicious, filling meal.“
“We placed a very large order this weekend for our hockey team, and everything from the pizzas to the pastas to the subs was delicious! They were able to schedule out the delivery time and were on time with the delivery. We had individual orders for over 30 people and they were happy to take the orders and didn’t miss a detail. We will definitely be ordering again from Arleo’s next time we are in town!“
“Wake held and we had delicious chicken Romano, meatballs and cheese raviolis with green beans, mashed potatoes and Caesar salad. Everyone enjoyed it very much. Service was good with beverages etc as was buffet. It was in a room above restaurant and private. Plenty of space for 40 people. Would use them again“
“I was in Pittsburgh with my sister and two friends for a girls weekend. LeVia was recommended to us by the owners of SPill Wine Bar. We were seated immediately and greeted by the best waitress! Her timing of service was spot on, as well as her recommendations. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the dishes. The space was small and quaint, and we loved the intimacy of our surroundings. We ordered the garlic knots with sauce and cheese, I can’t even begin to describe how incredible they were. We all ordered a different meal. Our waitress gave us four extra plates to share all of our meals, great idea to be able to try an assortment of dishes! Thank you for an amazing meal, we will be back!“
“Chef Eric and our server Mike were fantastic! Our large group was able to enjoy a delicious business dinner in a timely fashion. Apps, entrees, and dessert were absolutely incredible! The Cesar salad was perfectly composed, they make their own mozzarella, and the specials are on point! You could taste the love and passion that created each dish. It was so nice that Chef Eric came out to meet us and personally described some of the dishes to us.The owner was a little unprofessional about an accommodation we needed, but the food and other staff made up for it, so I would still highly recommend this establishment.Dietary restrictions: Chef Eric did a great job accommodating a gluten friendly appetizer and entree.“
“The sweet scents immediately hit you upon entry. The lemon cello cookies are to die for! I am so glad that I ordered a dozen of them. Even though they are known for their biscotti's I did not order any this time. But I certainly will on my next visit there.“
“Looking for an event space? Gaetano’s Banquet Center & Catering should be your first consideration. Service, atmosphere, and menu, something for any event. You will be completely satisfied. Ask for Anna, she will make it happen. Two years in a row our group has had 100 guests and we plan to make it a tradition ?.“
“This is the best wedding soup I've ever had. Not only is this soup savory, succulent, perfectly balanced, and delicious...it gives you feelings of grandma in the kitchen with her secret recipe. This is by far the best soup I've ever had! The beef melts into your mouth before you can even take a bite and the broth is just perfect, it's beyond words! The ziti pasta and meatballs are delicious but I would order all the wedding soup until it was sold out if I lived in the area! I am immediately going back to buy a quart before finishing the pasta. Please do not discredit the other food items. I LOVE SOUP! This brings me goosebumps and warm feelings to how delicious it is! Wonderful job! (1 hour later) I did go back right before closing and ordered a quart to go and could not resist the pizza. I'm glad I didn't stop myself. I met Vito, the owner who makes his ingredients fresh every morning, and praised him for his love that he pours into his food. He's a great person and the friend you'd invite to every family gathering. I've traveled all over the world for work and this is the BEST SOUP! Last week I was in Paris, and the French Onion soup was delicious but could not even step close to how much mastery that's ingrained in this soup. If I could choose one thing for the rest of my life to consume, it would be the Wedding Soup!“
“We had a funeral brunch upstairs in the private dining room. Everything was great. The staff was pleasant and efficient. We had the Cod, Breaded chicken breast, White rice, Stuffed shells with sauce, salad, and rolls with chocolate cake with coffee at the end. Food was plentiful, delicious and very satisfying. A pleasant ending.“
“I love this place...quality Italian cuisine w excellent service. The atmosphere is pure classy italian...grest service, wonderful bar, and thoughtful menu. Always consider the daily specials as the chef is fantastic, and creative...you won't be disappointed. I'm very confident that this is the best restaurant in the South Hills.“
“Love the food and the place is always packed with people. The staff is not always up to par depending on who is working and how they are feeling but that is how it works in the service industry. The last time I ordered I just wanted to pick up 3 canolis as they are the BEST I have ever had at any restaurant or bakery but was told that I cannot do that they were too busy. So I went in to order them and again was told that I could not order anything to take out . After explaining the situation that I was told over the phone I could come in and order them they did get my food for me. $27 is a bit much for 3 canolis but they are great and I wanted them. Dining in is your best option but I would call ahead and make a reservation as it is a small place and often extremely busy.“
“We tried this place for the first time last month and it did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. We didn't have a reservation but they sat us in the bar area so I guess I would most likely make a reservation next time . I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was huge ! Also very good . Very generous portions for sure . Can't wait to go back“
“We tried Antonio’s for the first time tonight. We ordered a deep dish pizza with pepperoni and the general tso’s chicken pizza. Both pizzas looked and tasted amazing. I don’t find many places that put fried chicken on pizza, so I appreciate the unique menu items. This style and quality of food is exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be back.“
“Delicious food and great service. The ambience is calming and happy. The drinks were delicious, we had the cocktail special of the night for $5!! WORTH IT. Located in a small plaza like area.Parking: You have to parallel park, I didn’t see any parking lots.“
“Come for the tasty pasta, stay for the excellent service and homey vibes. My boyfriend and I love places like this. We live just down the block, and really, there isn't enough local eats that still feel a bit dressed up, even though casual wear is appropriate. We've gone twice now, and both times, our servers have been lovely. On our latest date on Thursday, our server was there to greet us and ask about beverages not a minute after we sat down. She was super attentive, very fast, and a total sweetheart. The food has some hits, but it's all up to preference. I love the cheese ravioli. My boyfriend had the steak hoagie and we both agreed that while the steak was perfectly cooked, the sauce was a bit on the sweet side for us. That said, it was well made and presented, and we still left with full bellies. Carbonara's is fast becoming a regular date spot for us, and I haven't been disappointed yet. And those portion sizes? Perfect for work lunch leftovers! Yum!“
“I read some good reviews about this place, so I stopped in for carry-out for lunch on a Monday. The folks working there were GREAT! Really friendly and they explained how they make much of their food. I was tempted by their chicken tenders, so I asked if they used frozen chicken tenders and they not only said “no” and explained how they made them, they just happened to be making a batch of fresh tenders and showed me the fresh chicken breasts they use to make them. I ordered their Nashville Hot tenders and they were AMAZING! The breading was very light and flavorful and the dry Nashville Hot seasoning was spicy… very tasty!!I also got their Deluxe Italian sub, half size and it was excellent! Very fresh ingredients and the sub came together great… Very Nice!!This place is carry-out only, but they do deliver and they do prepare food rather quickly. Highly recommend! I’ll definitely return!!“
“Food was so so good! I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and the greens & beans & sausage. Tiramisu for dinner finished me off. All made to perfection. The BYOB is such a great part of the experience. Always love to have a personable waitress. Underrated spot for such a quality meal. Will return.“
“The food was good (but not great), and the service was generally good, but I do feel like we were "checked in on" more than usual, which was a tad annoying. All in all, a good place for some standard American-Italian fare.Vegetarian options: I love the make your own with mushroom sauce and broccoli! They have some other options, but that's my go-to. Definitely harder to find good vegan options, but vegetarian is pretty decent“
“Seriously, the best thing in our area. Donella our waitress was fantastic and kept us happy the whole meal. It was my birthday and i got to pick the restaurant. I was under pressure , as my friends can be a lot! They loved everything about this place. The homemade manicotti was the best I’ve ever eaten. Cannoli for dessert was exceptional! I’ll be back for sure.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pasta option.“
