“Friendly and happy to see their guests, this is a great spot for a solid lunch for about 8 bucks. Its not Boston style Chinese, but its a close second. Well prepared, generous portions, tasty food. The man said his folks opened up about 25 yrs ago, and I'm sad I haven't found it til now. Will be a regular spot from here out. Xièxiè, China King!“
“This is the best Chinese restaurant in Kennett. Maybe even further. Called in $80 of food. Ready and blazing hot in exactly 10 minutes. Order100% correct. The staff are all top notch as well. Laser beam accuracy. The only place we will order from and will be doing often!“
“We showed up on a Saturday in February 2024 around 2: 30. About half the tables were full with customers. We ordered the n Friday pot sticker sampler for two. We also ordered the scallion pancakes. The food came out fairly quickly, and there was enough food for the both of us. The staff was friendly to us. Bathrooms were clean. This place has a full bar.“
“It was nice to have dinner inside a restaurant. You could see the care of clean up, the guests were spaced nicely. Our meals were fresh, full of flavor, and enough for a lunch the following day. Our server Pat was her ever charming self and mixes a great basil lemon cocktail.“
“Seriously the best brown and best white sauces I've ever had! Fresh ingredients and the best place to go if you want that real and authentic Chinese food. I get steamed and fried tofu and they are very generous with the amount of tofu and veggies they give. Lovely service and lovely food! They do not offer dine in at this time but hopefully they will open the dining room“
“Rice has long been our go-to place in DE for sashimi: thick cuts (as they should be), always fresh, expertly prepared. We love the wonton soup and fried rice as well, and everything we've tried from the non-sushi menu has always been a cut above. Everything tastes prepared fresh that day; the vegetables are crisp; it's never overloaded with salty, gooey sauce. So many places just cover up mushy vegetables and old rice with sugar-heavy sauce because it's what we Americans expect, but this restaurant seems to actually care about putting out quality. The staff is always courteous, too. Thank you for the lovely Valentine's Day meal my husband just brought home. You all are doing a terrific job.“
“There is a large selection of food. Everything from pizza, chicken, fish, shrimp, crabs, crawfish, frog legs, and all the regular chinese restaurant food. Oh I almost forgot that they do Hibachi and they have a large selection of Sushi. The price is reasonable and food was seasoned good.“
“As a person who lived in China for several years, I was so excited to find this pocket of authenticity in Newark! In addition to a refreshing feeling of a real Chinese restaurant, the menu is packed with delicious regional dishes from China. The staff is also incredibly kind. They are willing to answer questions for those who are unfamiliar with Chinese cuisine, and they even offer some Americanized Chinese dishes for those feeling a little nervous. Don’t be silly though, make sure to try the dumplings!“
“Don't judge a book by its cover, this applies to this restaurant, they don't have fancy renovation but they do use quality food material, I can tell because I traveled around the country to do work with my camper van I sure eat a lot of take out foods.“
“The food was excellent. 1st time there and plan on ordering from them regularly. Only take out no dinning area. Their cooking reminds me of some great restaurants in Philly Chinatown but again no dine in experience. Very happy that my wife heard good things and recommended we try China Kitchen.“
“I love the dishes at New Dragon! My go-to order is Moo Shoo pork (sheikh is nice with some spice added) and some spring rolls. The order is always ready and the transactions are straightforward and no—nonsense. It’s not really done in so the atmosphere only needs to be clean and efficient, and it is.“
“A Chinese food takeaway that has been operating in Capitol Trail Newark Delaware for over a decade. The taste of the food was so mediocre that it could even be described as shoddy. The reason for giving them a five star rating is that they solve many of the workers' daily meals and are affordable. The Chinese are hard-working, and even the epidemic has not stopped them from moving forward. We need to applaud their professionalism.???“
“Arrived at around 6:00 p.m. on a Tuesday night to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were greeted by the friendly staff. All food selections were delicious! The staff even prepared a dessert and fruit platter for the birthday celebrant. They even sang happy birthday to the celebrant! Great food, awesome staff, and a night to remember! Highly recommend!“
“They screwed up my order again tonight. This is the second time in the past few months that I’ve picked up food from Mee Garden, and they have failed to get the order correct. Naturally, I don’t discover the problem until I am back home opening up the food and by then it’s too late.“
“I had no complaints, not the best I've ever had but it's not bad if you're looking for quick, friendly service in the area. Plus there's not a whole lot of Chinese places close by compared to where I live so when I worked in Avondale I got lunch here often.“
