“Not from around here, but I stopped today (2/18/22 @2:30ish) and Donnel was the only one in there. He made 3 rounds and 2 orders of cheesy bread in under 12 minutes and it was the best dominos I have ever eaten at in my travels. Would recommend.“

“This place has been on my list for some time and I was fortunate to visit at a downtime. Amongst a city full of pizza shops, Down North stands out among the greats. ENVIRONMENT The restaurant is relatively easy to find and seats no more than 5 or so people in the shop. The wait was a tad excessive which I credited to the food being "made with love". FOOD I love a good piece of focaccia! Another contributor commented that their pizza can be likened to focaccia which I would find to be incredibly accurate. The "Detroit" style was incredibly flavorful accompanied by a heaping of toppings(I settled on the "I'm A Boss"). I will admit the fries left a bit much to be desired but not enough to influence my rating. If you're based anywhere in North Philly between Farimount and Erie Ave, I can confidently say Down North is among the top three picks for the area. Happy eating!“

“Better than “Asad’s Hot Chicken” hands down baaabbbyyyyyy!!!!!!!! The sandwich is heavy when you pick it up too! The flavor is everything, and the coleslaw on the chicken sandwich is fire. Now I dnt even like but the one this place makes is great. Only thing I would say, is to use purple cabbage instead of green for a little variety of color in the sandwich, and to add a little more acidity into the coleslaw as well but you still get that acid from the huge pickles on the sandwich anyway. The fries are exceptionally seasoned, unlike Asad’s fries, which are plain. Their dipping sauce is really good it’s nice and sweet. Which pair is very well with the spiciness of the chicken and fries. The chicken is very moist. Just melts in your mouth lol. they use brioche buns for the chicken sandwiches, which are a very nice fluffy and flavorful bread. Everything about this fried chicken branch is above and beyond. I will be coming back again to try their honey hot wings!!! This place even have chicken tacos. I highly recommend this to anyone living in Philadelphia. Especially those Asad’s Hot Chicken lovers. Yall don’t know what y’all are missing!“

“I've had their chicken quite a few times and it is always good. I decided to try something else on their menu, I picked the shrimp fried rice. Now theirs were a little different from the regular Chinese shrimp fried. They put cheese in it! Yes you saw it Cheese, I'm not sure if this was a Korean cheese or something else. The was like a Mozzarella cheese and it had A very good cheese pull they all put egg in it. Not chopped up but a whole cooked in the middle of the rice. Picture a layer of rice then a layer of egg and cheese and another layer of rice. What I like is that they used a Styrofoam carryout container but they used aluminum foil in the container That's a plus for me.“

I posted a picture of the donuts I got today and two Black Sesame donuts didn't quite make it. Lol. “They are a very beautiful family own place. They are of the Muslim faith, but very well versed and educated in all faiths and manners of life. The best part of the wings! Spicy garlic parmesan is one of my favorites but they have a lot of sauces and other foods to like wraps and platters you would have to just look up the menu. They also have a seafood place and they just open next door I'm not sure the name of it but from what people say it's just as good and you can see the miriam, Samuel, or Islam. We got the bourbon honey mustard, polynesian and harvest apple. We weren't really looking for traditional buffalo and these were all more on the sweet/tangy side. The sauces were great to where I didn't even dip them into anything. The tater tots were good. The seasoning was on the salty side but not overpowering. “Tried for the first time yesterday. Ordered 4 combo meals that comes with fries and a can soda. Price wise their combos are $3-$4 cheaper than Wingstop. We tried the garlic parm, hot, Cajun, and hot lemon pepper. First the fries that come with the combo are crinkle cut style and you get a good portion and they were probably the best fries I've had compared to some of the other pizza places or restaurants that serve fries. They were huge and cooked to perfection. The flavor of all the wings were good and were seasoned and sauced evenly. My only negative would be on one of the combos we got an extra small drum and for my wings I think they were fried a little too hard for my taste. also I ordered my combo with shrimp fried rice. The fried rice was good but the shrimp were on the smallish side. But overall good value for your money and great tasting wings and the portion and crispness of fries were a great bonus. I would definitely recommend this place for your Wingstop alternative. I will be ordering from here again.“

“Wow I been here once and I'm dreaming of this place still! Workers are crazy nice! Some seating inside and a restroom inside. Donuts are cake donuts, they have some hot and fresh (only few flavors) and some premade - all cake donuts I don't like cake donuts, but I loveeee the cake donuts here. The chocolate has to be my favorite! The glaze was good too. The banana was a no for me, had a weird taste. The strawberry lavender is super messy but so good and only good fresh bc all the sugar. The fried chicken sandwich is good , was a tad salty but juicy and crispy. The egg sandwich was good, had a spicy pepper jam sauce but was good! The fries were good and crispy, and huge portion! “I have been coming to this place for about two years now and I am definitely not one to write reviews at all, but this place really deserves it. I am a senior in highschool and the chef john is the nicest and humblest man i know. He is kind to every customer and makes amazing food (I like the garlic rice bowl the best). Today, he saw that i wasn’t eating and came over to me directly with my favorite order. I didn’t mention that I was fasting for the month of ramadan. This just goes to show his character and i hope that he gets all the customers he deserves“

“I tried chicken and tteokbokki here. You can choose chicken in small, medium, and large sizes, and the small size costs about $15 for one person (picture attached). You can choose between Korean BBQ, Soy Galic, and Spicy sauce, but I personally recommend soy galic. You can also choose half and half sauce. Don't expect the taste to be the same as Kyochon Chicken, but if you go when you miss chicken a lot, you will be somewhat satisfied. (But the Coleslaw tasted better than I expected.) The tteokbokki was also really delicious, so I recommend it. The price is reasonable and the staff is so friendly that I would like to go again.“

I ordered Uber eats and wanted to change something on my order but the app doesn't give you the option so I called as soon as I placed the order. “Beat the stadium food. Stadium Grill by Oogie's is the best hole in the wall for people planning to see a game. Why pay $20 for a mediocre burger when you can pay half that for some delicious, greasy perfection. I came in to Stadium Grill before a recent hockey game with some friends for brunch. Sporting sandwiches, pizzas, BREAKFAST pizzas, and more, we split a sausage Boli platter. Bolis are Stadium Grill's specialty; an edible cup made from pizza dough, filled with egg, cheese, and meat, topped with Everything Bagel seasoning and served with a side of ketchup or spicy ketchup (the spicy ketchup is simply hot sauce mixed in with their ketchup). While I'd prefer to eat Boli's with marinara, the Boli's themselves are amazing. One platter comes with enough Boli's to feed 4 hungry dudes and each Boli is densely packed with protein. The seasoning adds much needed salt and packs so much flavor. It's a must get for groups. Stadium might not be fancy, but it's a fast, affordable, and delicious way to prep before watching a game.“
