“Walked here from the hotel I was staying at for dinner on Monday and it was tasty. Good value for the price. The only qualm was it felt the pizza wasn’t cooked enough to hold up with the toppings on it. Having said that I put too much on but my colleague had a composed pizza from their list and they said the same thing.

Plenty of seating inside and out.“

The chicory salad with cashew cheese and smoked olives was sublime and hands-down the best salad I've ever had; the cacio e pepe, also made with cashew cheese, was fantastic, with beautifully fresh handmade pasta cooked to perfection. The black pearl mushroom with potato was transcendent, smoky and caramel-y with an amazing texture and served over amazingly rich but light mashed potatoes. We also loved the crimini carpaccio (beautifully presented, loved the citrus notes) and hazelnut ice cream and enjoyed the nonalcoholic cocktails, which were herby and refreshing without being sweet. Possibly the best restaurant I've been to in almost 20 years as a vegetarian/vegan, and really nice ambience and great service as well.“

Alice is a quintessential crusader restaurateur. I also appreciate the gluten-free options, and I congratulate myself for the dignity I exhibited last visit when I abstained from eating the paper wrapper of my blueberry muffin in desperation to get every crumb down.“
