“This restaurant is awesome! I have gluten and dairy allergies and I can eat here. They use no dairy and can makr most dishes gluten free. In addition, I like lots of vegetables. Today I ordered chicken fried rice gluten free, extra vegetables. They didn't just add more carrots and peas. No, they added broccoli, snow peas, zucchini, and mushrooms!! I am soo thankful to the Rice Inn for their flexibility and above and beyond service. There are few restaurants that I dare eat in but the Rice Inn is great, right down to their friendly and professional staff.“

We ordered way too much food not thinking the portions would be Americanized. No matter. I'm happy to have leftovers for lunch this week. We loved the gyoza (dumplings). They were so soft, delicate and flavorful. They didn't need the sauce but the sauce was terrific. The pictures of their sushi looked good so I wanted to try it. The tuna roll was delicious and only $6. My husband loved his chashu (pork that tastes just like bacon) ramen. There were tons of noodles, huge pieces of pork and mushrooms. He really enjoyed it and was in the mood for ramen since we loved it so much in Japan. I got the chicken katsu (basically a cut up fried chicken cutlet or breast). It was so crispy, tender and flavorful. The portion was giant. It came with white rice, miso soup and the sweet and delicious katsu sauce that I love. We wi definitely be back to try other things when we come back out to Squirrel Hill. The man who brought out the food was so sweet. We miss Japan and found an amazing new spot.“

If you’re looking for a spot that’s actually worth the money… Umami Japanese Restaurant did NOT disappoint. We ordered a mix of everything🤤 Blood orange Pork Chop, nigiri, chirashi, pork belly & chicken thigh skewers and cocktails❤️‍🔥 every single plate was top tier! The flavors were super fresh, well-balanced, & you can tell they really care about quality. The pork chop was juicy with that perfect char on a bed of funnel & pear shreds. The chirashi bowl was BEAUTIFUL, fresh cuts of fish, generous portions, and just overall chef’s kiss 💋 Even the smaller bites like nigiri were done perfectly. Cocktails were just as good (and fun names too 👀). Everything came out looking like a full experience, not just a meal. Not to mention the dj was 🔥🎶

“Little Tokyo Restaurant is in Mt. Lebanon near Pittsburgh, PA. LTR has hibachi, udon and Ramen bowls, sushi and other options. The food was great as was the service. We had steak and shrimp hibachi, yummy roll (shrimp tempura inside with crab), udon bowl and a spicy tuna hand roll. The only complaint is how loud it was inside. At times it was difficult to hear the conversation at our own table. I would return if I'm in the area again.“
