“We stumbled upon this gem at a kiosk at the hotel we are staying at and we can never turn down BBQ. 😂 the food was great, the service was great, and everything was fast, hot and perfect. Mark was our waiter and he was amazing. Not only is he a great server (i know because I worked in this industry), he’s incredibly kind and hilarious. We came for my birthday, which he knew. When I said no to dessert he asked if he could bring me a scoop of ice cream with a candle, to which I said “sure, but no singing!” Well when he came back to the table with another employee he loudly pronounced “on the count of 3!” Like they were going to sing and counted down then walked away. It was incredibly funny. Thank you, Mark, for making the night memorable!“

“Just had dinner at Bird-in-Hand Restaurant- the smorgasbord was amazing! So many choices! Everything was hot and delicious. The cheeseburger soup was very good! The homemade rolls- very yummy! Shrimp, ribs, mashed potatoes! Salad! I even had a mango slushy! Definitely the place to eat. Can’t wait to come back and try breakfast! Oh and dessert! Wow! Pies, puddings, amazing. Very Lancaster County authentic food! Loved it!“

“This is a real gem of a place. The atmosphere was nice and the food was so good. We loved the variety of drinks and all of the fresh, heavily veggie dishes. It can be hard sometimes to find veggie focused dishes at restaurants, but the menu had plenty of options (and the options to add proteins).“

I watched them train a new employee to do the same! Pinch and pull the dough- enough sauce, but not too much. “Our first experience at Gibraltar could not have been better. My wife and I had a 5 PM reservation, and when we arrived, three staff members warmly greeted us. A hostess escorted us to a cozy section of the restaurant, where the well-spaced tables allowed for comfortable, private conversation. Within 30 seconds, our server, Josephine, greeted us and offered us a choice of water. Bread and water arrived shortly after, and the service was impeccable from start to finish.
Cocktails - The house Cab is amazing. My wife said the same of her Grapefruit Margarita
Appetizer - The Spanish Octopus was delicate and delicious.
My entre - The Whole Branzino (fillet tableside) was excellent, and the skill of the gentlemen executing the filleting was exceptional.
Wife’s entre - Shrimp Spaghetti was a flavor bomb and the delicate garlic butter parsley sauce was perfect for bread dipping!
Shared dessert - Crème Brule to share was prepared with precision.

“I have eaten here many of times. The food is always so good. I got two pizza's last night and it was really hard to eat because it had a burnt taste to it. I had gotten two pizza's and they both tasted the same. A little disappointing being I have always had great pizza from here. The burnt taste for me was so bad. Felt like I wasted $40 on pizza. I still give 4 stars because of past experiences.“

“Small but great pretzel place!! I got a pizza pretzel which was a hefty croissant shaped pretzel STUFFED with pepperoni, cheese, and pizza sauce. It was soooo good and hearty. I got it on a whim and greatly enjoyed it. I also got a regular salted pretzel that was very good, nice chewy and doughy! I highly recommend a stop in if you like pretzels.“

“Went in to the bakery on a Sunday morning. Spent the better part of an hour picking out treats and having good conversation about community, caring, and pastry. Took the treats home and had a family tasting of all the fun things we found. Can't attest to the restaurant and bar portion, but our tea and bakery interaction was a treat on multiple levels.“

“I spent 3 days in Lancaster n I went on one bite pizza appt for best pizza in lancaster n out of the top 100 places only 4 places impressed me n Pizza City was one of them n not far from the motel where I was staying at so, it was a no Brainer. I have tried ALOT of pizza in my life n I do reviews. I was really impressed on how good this was a true NY style pizza. Thin crust, well cooked undercarriage, good amount of tasty sauce with just enough cheese with zero grease. Highly recommend it here n just wished it was closer. Also, prices extremely reasonable to where I live.“
