“We stumbled upon this gem at a kiosk at the hotel we are staying at and we can never turn down BBQ. 😂 the food was great, the service was great, and everything was fast, hot and perfect. Mark was our waiter and he was amazing. Not only is he a great server (i know because I worked in this industry), he’s incredibly kind and hilarious. We came for my birthday, which he knew. When I said no to dessert he asked if he could bring me a scoop of ice cream with a candle, to which I said “sure, but no singing!” Well when he came back to the table with another employee he loudly pronounced “on the count of 3!” Like they were going to sing and counted down then walked away. It was incredibly funny. Thank you, Mark, for making the night memorable!“

“Just had dinner at Bird-in-Hand Restaurant- the smorgasbord was amazing! So many choices! Everything was hot and delicious. The cheeseburger soup was very good! The homemade rolls- very yummy! Shrimp, ribs, mashed potatoes! Salad! I even had a mango slushy! Definitely the place to eat. Can’t wait to come back and try breakfast! Oh and dessert! Wow! Pies, puddings, amazing. Very Lancaster County authentic food! Loved it!“

“This is a real gem of a place. The atmosphere was nice and the food was so good. We loved the variety of drinks and all of the fresh, heavily veggie dishes. It can be hard sometimes to find veggie focused dishes at restaurants, but the menu had plenty of options (and the options to add proteins).“

I watched them train a new employee to do the same! Pinch and pull the dough- enough sauce, but not too much. I had gotten two pizza's and they both tasted the same. A little disappointing being I have always had great pizza from here. The burnt taste for me was so bad. Felt like I wasted $40 on pizza. I still give 4 stars because of past experiences.“

“Hubs and I had a really wonderful date-night meal and all-around A-plus experience last night. He had the restaurant week 3 course, while I had an entree from the regular menu. I can honestly say that I would not have changed one single thing about any of it. It was all absolutely delicious. The venue is quieter than expected after entering through the bakery at front-of-house. The liquor selections include some hard to find gins and bourbon. Two enthusiastic thumbs up in a town with multiple really good spots! We hope to return soon!!“

“Small but great pretzel place!! I got a pizza pretzel which was a hefty croissant shaped pretzel STUFFED with pepperoni, cheese, and pizza sauce. It was soooo good and hearty. I got it on a whim and greatly enjoyed it. I also got a regular salted pretzel that was very good, nice chewy and doughy! I highly recommend a stop in if you like pretzels.“

“I used to go to JJJ regularly when I lived in Lancaster. I moved to Delaware in 2020, and this was my first time back to JJJ since then - and it was as good as I remember, perhaps even better! I love the atmosphere in the bar (although the drink pours could stand to be a little heavier). Our server, Bill, was excellent. He took a lot of time to review the menu and share more details about some of the dishes, and he made some great recommendations. His service was very attentive and the food was outstanding. It came out piping hot and was presented beautifully. Bill offered dessert, but we were stuffed!“

“We have been going there for decades. Generous portions (at good prices) give at least one more meal from leftovers. Rarely have room for the good-looking desserts, but when we do, they are great. Vegetables often disappoint, but a double order of the excellent fries provides potatoes with our eggs the next morning.“

“My wife and I had lunch at Chilangos today, the food was amazing. My wife loved her Shrimp Enchiladas, and I had the best Birria Tacos I've ever eaten. Lots of meat, which melted in my mouth. Tortillas were fried crispy, and I loved the grilled onions/chilis and cilantro/onions that were served on the side. Service has always been great when we eat there.“
