“Visiting family in the area and our first time ordering from Golden Garden. Ordered 4 dinners including beef and broccoli, sesame chicken, lo mein, and egg rolls. Food was ready in about 20 minutes. Our dinners were good, but the egg rolls were really greasy.“

“Best Fried Rice! It’s actually fried…not yellow rice! The fried rice is old school! This yellow rice crap has conditioned people into thinking that’s fried rice and it’s not! The general tos chicken is amazing! The Sesame chicken is crazy good! They literally give you two fresh chicken breasts. Especially if you get the white meat version. The Mongolian Beef is probably one of the most tastiest and tender beef you’ve ever tried! This is our go to spot for Chinese, it’s a little pricey but Real Chinese isn’t cheap! You actually get quality here. The Lo Mein & Singapore Noodles are also amazing!!! I don’t know what most of these other reviewers are expecting but maybe their used to the slop houses lol.“

Dietary restrictions: I always put a note in there saying please cook tender as my son is autistic and has chewing issues they always cook are food perfect, I couldn’t ask for a better place that takes that into consideration. Awesomely!“

“Tried takeout today for the first time and everything was delicious. This is more of a takeout place since the vibe is very basic, but there are a few tables for eat-in. I had the Pork Rib noodles and it was a very large portion with fresh bok choy, nicely spiced pork, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Also tried spring rolls and hot and sour soup (standards to see how they compare to other restaurants in the area). Spring rolls had options of chicken or chicken and shrimp, not greasy at all, and very good. Hot and sour soup was hotter than I've had elsewhere and not as thick as usual--i prefer this version. Prices were very good especially given the portion size of the noodles, easily enough for 2 meals. I will definitely be back!“

However, I noticed that the General Chicken was slightly overcooked, which made it a bit tough, though the flavor was still decent. Overall, the service was great, but there's room for improvement with the food. I’d still consider returning for the friendly atmosphere.“

“This place is amazing. We got the veggie lo mein, crab rangoons, and general tso’s chicken combo. Every thing tasted absolutely flawless and was cooked to perfection (and boiling hot!) The rangoons are the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Panda Express doesn’t even hold a candle to any of this amazing food. Not to mention, we got basically a soup-bowl-sized serving of sweet & sour sauce without asking. The general tso’s chicken was so crispy and saucy, and rice not overcooked or undercooked but just right. The lo mein was delicious and the veggies clearly cooked well. I have no complaints.

This place is meant for takeout, but the food was so good that it gets 5 stars all around for me even though we didn’t eat there and the inside was small. This business deserves your dollars, and your stomach will thank you!“

“Got general Tso chicken, pork fried rice and an iced tea for $10.50. No idea how they are able to charge this little but the food wasn’t bad at all. The pork fried rice was a lil blah, next time I will just get white rice. I didn’t call to order and my food took a lil while but I was very happy with the general tso chicken. Will order again.

“We got sesame chicken and sweet & sour chicken both with pork fried rice. The sesame chicken was crisp with just enough sauce and the sweet & sour chicken was so crunchy! The rice is flavorful with tender bits of pork and chunks of onion that were the perfect texture. The shrimp and pork rolls were golden brown and I wish I got more honestly. First time going; I heard about it from a friend at work. I definitely plan on going back and trying more!“

“I am closing in on 40 and have been coming to this restaurant since I was a small child, some of my earliest memories are family dinners at Da Chen. The staff here are amazing— kind, attentive, helpful, and generous. Their house made duck sauce and crispy fried wonton chips ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD. Do not sleep on them if you only ever order take-out! You receive the crispy wonton chips with any soup order, but you have to ask for their homemade duck sauce on the side (costs like 25¢ iirc)!!! My favorite foods from here are: wonton soup, their complimentary jasmine tea, shrimp toast, beef & broccoli, sweet & sour chicken, general tso’s chicken, pork fried rice, and the bao bao platter (it’s such a fun treat eating this for dine-in). You will always receive the same quality service and food here, and somehow over the years it’s even gotten better! Da Chen is child-friendly and has high chairs available to use, and is wheelchair-accessible straight from the ample free parking lot and into the restaurant. Da Chen accepts cash, debit or credit. “This is pretty much the only place i eat at this mall. For me the price is very reasonable and usually they have something i always enjoy. The spicy fried tofu (w/Veggies & Lo Main) is always great and my go-to when I want a filling snack.
I wish I could give bonus stars simply for the wonderful woman working the register today (9/1/24, roguhly 1 pm). She was amazingly friendly! While I patiently waited for my meal I noticed every customer who came into here (including myself!) was acknowledged and greeted, she made sure to ask if orders were correct double checking and all, and would always find something to compliment or have that moment of a quick impression/connection and making someone's day that much better. Not one person left without a smile. Someone like that is a very rare gift in the food industry. I wish I could give her a proper shout-out, but I never got her name!“

“Good Morning Google Family. How are you doing today? I decided to visit since I was so hungry!!! I do not like the white rice that the chinese places always give you so I asked for brown rice. I ordered a small won ton soup, 2 egg rolls and a Happy Family meal to go. I waited for a good amount of time and then they called me with my order. Thank goodness they have a seating area there to wait for your orders. I paid using my debit card and then they said I could have a can of soda. I got ginger ale for my mom and then I left. “I've tried all of the available chinese food options in the gibbstown-paulsboro area and this place is far and above the best of them. The portions are great and the food is always tasty. The prices for all of them were about the same, but this place doesn't charge a really high additional fee for using credit/debit to pay. If you want Chinese food in this area, this is the only place you should go to.“

Online ordering can be finnicky if ordering Lunch specials though, the site's clock seems to think it's an hour later than it actually is so you can't submit an order containing lunch specials after 2pm despite them being available until 3pm. You get an error telling you it's after 3pm & that you have to change your order, however calling to order them was no issue.“

I will say the location is in a spot of the city that’s not visually pleasing but the store looks well kept and presentable at all times. “My girlfriend and I ordered and it was just over an hour later. We called to get an update on our order. The manager or owner answered and gave him the order number. He said it was delivered. I told him it was not delivered. He called the driver and three waited the call. The driver said she handed me the order which she did not. Come to find out that she didn't call to say she was there and have it to an unknown house. So someone got a free meal. They made a new order and the manager/owner delivered it himself. I appreciate what he did and because of that I will order from there again. I hope the driver gets fired for incompetence.“

“Great food, but they don't offer any free items even if you're spending a lot of money there. It's difficult to park in front of the restaurant to pick up your order. It's best to go up a street and find parking in that wider street area with loads of parking and then walk to the restaurant.“

“I've been going to China King for twenty plus years. It's a traditional neighborhood Chinese take-out place. I used to love their general tsos tofu - it seems to have changed hands recently so if you order lunch you get the old cook with the old (delicious) tofu but if you order dinner you get the new cook with new tofu (not as good). I will also say that the former proprietors/managers were nicer than the current ones. We still order from there fairly regularly. I have been loving the addition of Thai options which are consistently delicious (though I always ask for extra tofu because they tend to be light on protein otherwise.)“

Their sushi chefs (John & Yanni) are both amazingly talented and they have created custom sushi rolls for me according to my preferred fish and other ingredients.
