“Great food...friendly staff...cozy atmosphere“

“First Watch is one of our go-to places for breakfast. The food is usually five star. I had the traditional breakfast eggs scrambled, bacon, potatoes, and toast. The eggs were a bit tasteless it seemed because they used little or no salt. The potatos were salted and tasted fine. The bread was also a little bland since I ordered it without the usual heaps of butter. I'm a tea drinker and the selection is variable. This time there was enough non-earl grey and herbal tea to have two full cups of English breakfast. The tea situation is always dicey, often only decaf black and herbal with one Earl Grey. It would also be great if they ditched the stevia for either one or both of the chemical sweeteners, yellow or pink would do.

It's still a good breakfast place, just could be better with a little more salt and better sweetener options.“

“Today I stopped at The Hungry A. I have driven buy there many times. As I walked in the owners and people in there all greeted me like they know me. I had a coffee and it was one of the best I ever had. The breakfast sandwich was delicious. I will be be back. But what really got to me I walk with a cane and one of the girls there saw I was having a hard time she came around the counter and took what I was carrying and helped me to my car. Today there are not many people that are kind as she was. It made me know that there is still kind people in this world. If every would take the time to be kind to someone just once maybe it could be a start to make this world just a little better“

“I went to The Coffee Station again for breakfast on Sunday and had a great experience. The food was good, but what really stood out was our waitress, Denise. She’s like an old-time waitress in the best way—friendly, attentive, and she makes you feel truly appreciated. She goes above and beyond and makes the whole place feel like home. I don’t go out very often these days because of the economy, but I make it a priority to come here when Denise is working. She turns an ordinary meal into an experience worth going out for.“

“Found this place about a month ago, and realized it is my local walk to spot! And they've been around for over 30 years! Could not be happier! Been there twice so far, quick and friendly service. The food, simply amazing! I like grits, but often they're either too runny or too thick...finding those perfect goldilock grits is difficult... Train stops grits are just right! “I read all the positive reviews and had to check it out for myself. I have always found it difficult to find something as simple as a good breakfast place. But this time i found it! The second I walked in, I was impressed. The hostess greeted me immediately and with a smile. I asked if I should order now and she smiled and explained that she'd take my order and she'll bring it to me. It was very pleasant. The store itself is clean and bright. I ordered two eggs medium, sausage patties,home fries with peppers and onions, rye toast with a little butter and a medium coffee. Everything was made exactly as I ordered it. “I have lived in Havertown my whole life, and I had never been here before. I’m so glad I finally gave it a try. I tend to get the chicken salad when I eat out, and I would rate their chicken salad sandwich a 9+ out of 10! Great flavor and consistency plus the sandwich was packed and overflowing, without being messy. I had to take half home with me. One of the best I’ve ever had! The service was very good, the interior was clean and bright, and prices were on par with most other places. I will definitely be going here again instead of Nudy’s to try some of their other lunch and breakfast items.“

My main issue is the lack of consistency, it seems like different baristas and cooks have their own ways of making things, which is fine, but I personally feel consistency is super important in food service.“

“Greeted with great energy from staff right away. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. The server came right away. The food came out quick. Everything tasted great! The staff checked on us frequently to make sure everything was good. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.“

“The food is tasty, and the prices are very reasonable. For a little over $8, I got a platter of scrambled eggs, pork bacon, and cheese grits. Toast comes with it - they have both white and wheat bread - If it was extra, it was only by a dollar or so.
They used to have multiple tables that you could sit and eat at, but not anymore. The back of the restaurant looks like they're renovating, so those tables are not there. That is the only reason I didn't give the atmosphere 5 stars. However, there is one long table up front. There are no chairs, but on it are the various condiments: ketchup, maple syrup, salt and pepper, hot sauce, etc. My fiancé and I didn't want to eat on the train we were waiting to catch, so we ate at that same long table. Standing up and eating was the better option than trying to eat on a fast-moving train and/or bus.

“I get a bacon egg and cheese with a regular sized half and half. Does me right every time. They scramble the egg instead of doing that lil omelette. I like it. lol. They close at 1pm. They also be busy around 11 so if you calling you and aren’t getting an answer, keep calling. If you don’t call before you order, you will be waiting. All the older people be in there“

“At first looks the place is a little plain and empty. A few out of service drink coolers , a single rack with chips and cookies, and 2 PA skill machines (which I played while I waited for my food). But the place is very clean and you have an open view of the kitchen which I always appreciate as a customer. Prices were reasonable and the food preparation and presentation were notably good.
