“Made reservations at 7pm at loch bar for my sister’s birthday. I got there first and since my sister was a few minutes away, the host couldn’t seat me without her. My sister arrived at 7:05pm and the host informed us that it was busy therefore we would have to wait at the bar until there is a table available. I’m not sure what is the point of a reservation, if you won’t be seated right away. The bartender was really nice and welcoming. 20 minutes later, there was an open table. The appetizers were delicious especially the mussels!!!! The caviar and potato skin were sooo good as well. The oysters were fresh & cold just how I like it. I ordered shots of clase azul for my sister’s bday and we decided to do a bump of caviar & a shot of clase azul. It was a great combo! Thank me later.“

“I wanted to try some authentic Sichuan food in Philly and I have become a huge fan of this restaurant.

I decided to dine-in and was greeted by the nice host. He gave a recommendation for their Zhong Dumplings (pork) as an appetizer and it looked good so I definitely wanted to see how they came out. They have a spice level system when ordering so I wanted to try my dishes at the 2nd tier since they have a top tier at Cheng-du level and I'll see if I can try that level next time. I wanted to try something I haven't seen on many menus and got an order of their Cumin Beef.

They use a QR code and ordering though the cellphone. It has some technical issue and it didn't take away from the helpful host placing my order.

The cumin beef arrived first and was very pleasing to see with the dried chillies and the veggies like celery and onion that looked amazing and not like some places that just put them in after they have been overcooked. The dish was very flavorful with a good kick and the beef was very tender and not dried out. The portions were worth it for the price and I enjoyed the meal.

I got the zhong dumplings and they looked like they were freshly made. They had a large size and decent amount of filling in a sweet and spicy sauce that is not like a too vinger heavy or too thick like some sweet and sour sauces. The dumpling wrapper had a good bite to them and I was satisfied with this recommendation.

I was full and happy after my meal and still had enough leftover cumin beef to take home. I will definitely recommend this to my coworkers in North Carolina when they visit our Philly site and I will be looking at other recommendations from the staff. It is also great that they have a BYOB so I would recommend taking a group of friends to order they combo sets while enjoying your wine or beers.“

Typical Chinese takeout spot with a pretty standard menu. They have a great lunch deal during the week where you get an entree and either a soup or soda for like $10.

I’ve tried a bunch of things here and have never been disappointed. Portions are a good size and I usually have leftovers.“

“I ordered twice from them through Uber Eats and the food is fantastic! The first time I had fried rice, bbq spare rib tips, blue lemonade, and cheesesteak roll. This time I had regular lemonade with young chow fried rice. I sprinkled soy sauce on it in the picture, but trust me, it didn’t need it, it’s good on its own and I was just being extra lol. “This is the definitive takeout Chinese American fast food joint. Unlike others in the area, it's not a franchised place and the chicken actually has chicken in it and not a processed chicken tasting substitute. After a 15 minute drive home, everything was still too hot to eat. Well done!“

“My family and I 5 generations have enjoyed your food over the years. From my granny (who has now past) my mother, myself, my children, and now their children. The food is always fresh, tasty and having moved down south trips back up North include a 30 - 40 min drive from New Jersey. “I am closing in on 40 and have been coming to this restaurant since I was a small child, some of my earliest memories are family dinners at Da Chen. The staff here are amazing— kind, attentive, helpful, and generous. Their house made duck sauce and crispy fried wonton chips ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD. Do not sleep on them if you only ever order take-out! You receive the crispy wonton chips with any soup order, but you have to ask for their homemade duck sauce on the side (costs like 25¢ iirc)!!! My favorite foods from here are: wonton soup, their complimentary jasmine tea, shrimp toast, beef & broccoli, sweet & sour chicken, general tso’s chicken, pork fried rice, and the bao bao platter (it’s such a fun treat eating this for dine-in). You will always receive the same quality service and food here, and somehow over the years it’s even gotten better! Da Chen is child-friendly and has high chairs available to use, and is wheelchair-accessible straight from the ample free parking lot and into the restaurant. Da Chen accepts cash, debit or credit. “Got general Tso chicken, pork fried rice and an iced tea for $10.50. No idea how they are able to charge this little but the food wasn’t bad at all. My experience with this place has always been great. My whole family loves the food here. The owner is amazing and gracious. Moreover, they are very geared toward service and customer satisfaction. My favorite is Beef Lo Mein, and the other dishes are equally as great.

The owner was very sweet and thoughtful which I truly appreciated. The food however wasn't the best tasting in the city. The chicken wings were the best part but barely noteworthy. It tastes like my shrimp and broccoli has been seasoned with old bay and my white rice was a bit soft. The fried was was tasty but the general tso chicken was small and a little chewy. The crab rangoon was light, sweet and creamy. The sweet and sour chicken was traditional without a bunch of extra stuff. Just chicken and sauce. So good! The sesame chicken was sweet, savory, today but the start of the show was their perfect house mustard. My hair curled! The egg roll was the perfect shuttle for that and the duck sauce.
