Food was great, ambience was chill and lively at the same time, but the service is what really stood out! I sat at the bar, and my bartenders were Monae and Aliyah (spell check), they were so friendly, knowledgeable and attentive! “I stopped here because I was passing through and was told they have good cheesesteaks. They don’t. They have amazing cheesesteaks. The customers and staff made the visit awesome. Lively banter and great conversation. Colleen was fantastic and very friendly. I would absolutely come back again.“

“Only reason I'm giving 4 stars for service is because they were packed on wing night and only had 1 server and 1 bartender and there was some kind of neighborhood meeting about parking or something going on, and there was also a fantasy draft upstairs. Our server and Bartender were running like crazy, so getting a side of mayo was a little tough.

But... the food 😋. To start, we got the Honey Caribbean Wings AND the Loaded Cheese Fries. (We were starving when we arrived!)They were nice sized wings, and were cooked to perfection. (I like my wings a little bit crispy) they were tossed in the sauce which was finger lickin good. The fries were LOADED. Like, smothered in toppings. We loved them and put a nice dent in them!

I got the Tap House Bacon Burger. Now, I am a burger girl and let me tell you, this baby did not disappoint(it never does) Two patties, layered with New Yorker cheese, the bacon was perf, just enough lettuce & tomato and I gotta have my mayo and ketchup! It was slammin! I saved half for lunch because I over indulged on the apps(which we also saved the 2nd half for lunch, lol! )

My partner chose the French Onion(cheesesteak). The roll was soft and stuffed with meat, provolone cheese and fried onions. Alone.. it was great, but they give you a small cup of French onion soup to dip in(or to pour on) and that was chef's kiss! A really friggen good steak! She also only finished half!

We both enjoyed a few draft beers with our meal and our check was about 80 bucks.

“This was my second visit to Ripplewood Whiskey & Craft, and my first time experiencing their happy hour—and it did not disappoint. The menu had a great variety, and I enjoyed both the drinks and the pork bao buns.

A standout “happy accident” was ordering the pretzel rolls with truffle butter… absolutely amazing. That alone is worth coming back for.

The bartenders were attentive and provided great service throughout our visit. We also tried the deviled eggs, which were just okay for me—the mustard base was a bit too strong for my taste.

Overall, Ripplewood is a lovely spot with a relaxed vibe and nice outdoor seating in the back. It’s a great place for drinks, small bites, and a chill evening out.“

“We stopped in after work for a beer and a bite to eat. We are at the prime rib and the fish and chips. Both were cooked to perfection. Great service from the kitchen and bill a bartender.“

“Food is always good and seems to be a bit above the average bar fare. Nice outdoor seating. I haven't seen any outside bands lately so not sure if they're still doing that. Sometimes the locals can get a bit rowdy so be prepared for things getting loud occasionally.“

“I very rarely leave anything other than 5 star reviews. I'm leaving this one because I hope to see the place succeed and refine a bit as everywhere has room to do. These are just my opinions.

Pros: Roast pork was 🔥, bartender was very nice and engaging, music was on point (Elliot Smith and Nick Drake 👌), the bar has a classic look, and the prices are very reasonable.

Cons: Good amount of flies, bar top could've used a wipe down, a server should probably have sleeves, fries were poor, and there is almost no personal touch to the decor. It looks well painted and the fixtures are nice but it feels very generic and I prefer a little more personality in a bar/restaurant, especially one I'd like to go to regularly.“

“My friends & I (party of 10) met at Capone's on Sunday, March 24, 2024. We were set up in a room that made it very easy for us to talk with each other while we ate. The menu gave a lot of options for all of us, the service was outstanding, and we were not rushed. Most of us had never been there before, but we all agreed how much we liked it, & we plan to do it again.“

“We had such a wonderful experience at the Jarrettown Hotel for a wedding dinner last night. The entire evening was beautiful, and the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.

The staff deserves a special mention — everyone was incredibly polite, respectful, hardworking, and attentive. Even when the storm came and we had to move inside, they handled everything so professionally and made sure everyone was comfortable.

Our child was especially happy with the pasta and French fries they brought for her, which made the evening even more special for our family. 😊

Overall, it was a beautiful wedding, a lovely dinner, and a wonderful memory for all of us. We truly enjoyed our time at the Jarrettown Hotel and would be very happy to come back again!“

“Came here on on a Thursday and my day was going horrible until I had dinner here. The food was okay the wings were good but the chicken in the salad was questionable. The highlight of my dinner was my server Tyanna and the manager my server was full of smiles and had the best attitude I’ve seen at a restaurant so far and the manager was nice enough to accommodate my meal because of my salad. I will be coming back to this place and sending my friends here for the excellent service thank you guys.“

“Castle Roxx is the spot where I randomly stumbled upon in my young 20s and I “remember” having a great night, but I recently went back during a bar crawl last Oct ‘25.

It’s just fun! There’s a spin the wheel, I ended up with a blowup pony, and more recently just had a good time. Worth it to go in a grab a drink or shot, then continue on with wherever the night goes!“
