“Was lucky enough to try this truck at the roundabout brewing pop-up. I ordered the chicken tinga quesadilla for $16 and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The quesadilla was massive. It was cut into 4 thick pieces, to fit into the to-go box. Under the quesadilla were fresh tortilla chips and hot sauce. I kept calling the sauce a "salsa" because it was thick and chunky. It was definitely hot! There was so much chicken and chorizo inside of the quesadilla, along with just the right amount of cheese. I really felt like I got my money's worth on this order. The staff were super friendly and my order was up in 10-15 minutes. They were busy though and I'm lucky I caught them early because they did sell out rather quickly, when the place got busy. My friends had the vegetarian soyrizo tacos and said they were flavorful and that the pineapple salsa was delicious. Will be buying from these guys again!“
“This place is really a gem. I come here often (whenever I crave spicy pad kee mao (it is amazing!)). The owner is the sweetest and he always smiles! I feel like whenever I go there he gives me some of his positive energy along with great food!“
“Absolutely overjoyed to have authentic mexican in my neighborhood! As I was born and raised in California, I know the real deal when I taste it and everything we had was truly the best I've had in the 18 years I've lived in Pittsburgh! We look forward to when the dining room opens but in the mean time we will continue to take out and try everything!“
“We got the taco bar as catering for a birthday party and it was fantastic! Everyone loved it and said the tacos were great. We had plenty of good for everyone and lots of great topping options. People even came back in the evening to eat dinner of the chips and dips. It was a real crowd pleaser and we're very happy we did it!“
“I had this food at Trace Brewing, and so glad I did; I'm a mac-n-cheese lover, and this may have been the best I've ever had. It's smoked slowly in the same giant smoker that the meat is put in, so it has a richer flavor than anything you could imagine. It's dripping with both melted cheese and a good amount of cheese sauce, and you get enough for two servings if you don't scarf down the entire thing in one go. I'll be seeing where they pop up next, I have to try the brisket and ribs.I'd say the only downside was waiting 10-15 minutes despite a line of 4 people ahead of me, but the man was taking care to put the food together, and it was well worth the wait.“
“Incredible samosas!! Best Ive ever had. We contact the owner every couple of months to order 8-10 orders pf them for us and family. She is always very friendly and accommodating. This is in my top 5 best food options in Pittsburgh, no doubt.Parking: Its a food truck so its either in a lot ir on the street. Never had any difficulty parking right nearby“
“Great pop-up experience. The service staff was very friendly and funny to chat with, and the cheesesteak-burger-thing that my partner and I split was really enjoyable. I got the new Zealand hazy to drink and was very satisfied with the pairing, and the view of the river, while not spectacular, was definitely pleasing and we enjoyed our post-dinner walk which I will lump in with the overall experience.“
“I had the experience of eating food from the truck at City View Apartments event. Since visiting Argentina a few times, I was reluctant about the authenticity of the food, especially the empanadas, which I am very choosy. Talking with the owners, who are from Argentina, changed my mind. I ordered a Napolitana sandwich topped with freshly made chimichurri. It was fantastic. Now, the empanadas! I ordered beef and chicken. It held up to their family recipe. Beautiful people, excellent food. I highly recommend going to the restaurant, on Arlington Avenue, South Side Slopes. Bevann (and Neal)“
“They have best tacos I ever had. I went here for first time and believe me, this is my favourite from now.I ordered chicken quesadillas, Hard tacos with rice and beans, with overload veggies. Was so so so delicious.I had another soft tacos by their recommendation. It was also good. And 3 leach is fabulous.Highly Highly Recommended.“
“A foodie’s go-to for street food and takeaway???. This food stand has a real potential to be a phenomenally excellent. No this is NOT A RESTAURANT BUT A FOOD STAND on Pittsburgh’s Strip District. It serves four items: 1) Egg Rolls, 2) Chicken Skewers, 3) Rice noodles, 4) Fried Rice.It has excellent egg rolls, especially the vegetable and chicken rolls???. The rolls are very thickly packed… Flavorful but they taste even better with Hot Chili Oil.The Chicken Skewers are very flavorful. They are NOT KABABS but simple bamboo stick skewers of thin chicken breast strips. They are very well seasoned???… the sauced version actually destroys the natural flavor .There are 2 noodles, both are rice noodles. The one they call “Rice” Noodles are flavorful, with some meat and vegetables mixed in it… This noodle can even be better with more chicken and vegetables. The one they call Pad Thai is NOT true pad Thai. It’s plain flat rice noodles stirred in some soy sauce. ???.DISCOVERY: the otherwise unremarkable flat noodles they call Pad Thai can be rescued by Chicken Skewers in BBQ Sauce with STIRRED IN CHILI OIL and paired with a claret. There’s Fried Rice as well but I can’t recommend. They look very plain.Service is very good.Prices are very inexpensive.Vegetarian options: Vegetable egg rolls indicated.Dietary restrictions: Very limited vegetarian optionsParking: Street parking is tough to find especially in the weekends.Kid-friendliness: Child customers with their parents are commonWheelchair accessibility: This food pop-up stand is on a street alley that is wheelchair accessible.“
“El Rincón is my favorite place in Pittsburgh! I've been going to the food truck for a while now, and I'm so happy I could finally make it out to Carrick to try out the new restaurant. The tacos are always fresh, and the carnitas melt in my mouth. I had the agua de piña last night as well, and it was perfect! I love these guys so much; best of luck with the new restaurant :)“
“I got the salted caramel milkshake and loved it! My fiancé got the Oreo cyclone and also loved it! Pictured is the latest(3/9/24) menu. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up again so I can enjoy some more sweet treats from this place.“
“Solid little food truck for Mediterranean meals. Essentially everything is made in house (although, I’m not sure about the bread/tortilla/pita). I tried the tandoori chicken wrap as well as a dessert wrap. The tandoori chicken wrap was good. A bit small maybe, but still solid. The chicken itself is nicely spiced; it is definitely flavorful, maybe even a bit too spicy for me. Good texture, well cooked. I asked for mine without lettuce. The tomatoes were juicy and very good as well. There’s nothing really special about the bread. Just average. The sauce was good as well, nice kick. The dessert pita was interesting. It had a lot of nuts, bit of coconut, Nutella, chocolate spread, and maybe a few other things as well. Kind of a random concoction of sweet items in a tortilla. It’s good, and I really liked the Nutella especially. But, a bit odd and the tortilla tasted somewhat stale. All in all, a solid spot. Decent prices, okay portions. Quality halal food that’s made by the owner.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options for bowls and wraps, desserts as well“
“Graeters ice cream is my new favorite ice cream! I haven't had a flavor there that I didn't want to eat more of! Also, at this particular Graeters the employees are always kind, personable, and helpful! The last time we were there it wasn't super busy so we asked to try so many flavors before we landed on our orders, and the person helping us was joyful about describing the flavors when we asked and didn't get annoyed at all that we asked to try several things each. Lovely place! Super yummy ice cream!Dietary restrictions: They have a handful of dairy free ice cream options!“
