“Mike (the owner of the village inn) came in to Jim’s bar in Monongahela today and took care of everyone in our bar. He is a great guy and he brought some laughter to all of us. 10/10 I highly recommend you spending money at his establishment“
“While I don't often eat fried food, I found this restaurant while exploring Clariton. It's a little hard to spot. The menu looked interesting so I gave it a try. I ordered the shrimp dinner, but wish that I had noticed that only some dinners come with coleslaw. The shrimp were delicious, however. Be sure to order ahead, as the restaurant is popular, and does not really cater to walk-ins, as their menu is only available online. I will definitely be back.“
“Been wanting to try the breakfast sandwiches since they opened and since moving to this side of town, thought today was a perfect excuse. I've seen people rave about this place and now i know why. Seeing as though we got there around 8 am, I'd recommend getting there early because I've been told it can be line out the door later on, but that's how you know it's good. I got the classic with bacon and my boyfriend got the breakfast smash. We also opted to split the Creme Brulee griddled French toast with lemon curd. Paired with an Arabica pour over coffee for him and Oblong tea for me, it was the perfect Easter breakfast. The sandwiches were cooked perfectly. That French toast though, wow! The perfect amount of sweetness and with the mild lemon curd, just chef's kiss. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Can't wait to come back.“
“Took my mom here for dinner tonight after the recommendation of a friend. I got the pork chop with mashed potatoes and carrots and she got the meatloaf. The food was excellent, the staff was very attentive and nice. We ended are meal with a piece of the baklava cheesecake (honestly the best piece of cheesecake I've ever had), before the check was even brought my mom was already making plans to bring her brother and his wife. We will definitely be returning and bringing friends highly recommend.“
“Good craft beer selection!!Fried appetizers and even the clam strips were really good. Took a steak hoagie Togo and ate it for 3 days straight without even needing to heat it up 1) cuz the bread never staled or got soggy in the fridge 2) cuz the flavor was just that good “
“I recently dined at The Melting Pot and was thoroughly impressed by their Vegan fondue offering. The experience was exceptional from start to finish. The staff provided outstanding service, showing great knowledge and attentiveness towards our dietary preferences. They guided us through the menu, ensuring we enjoyed a delicious and satisfying meal while adhering to our vegan lifestyle. The Vegan fondue itself was beyond amazing, boasting a rich and flavorful taste that exceeded our expectations. With such a positive experience, it's safe to say we'll be returning to The Melting Pot for more culinary delights in the future.“
“I recently dined at Sultry F&B and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, especially Madi & Morgan, making excellent recommendations. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The attention to detail in both the food and the service truly elevated the dining experience. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Sultry F&B is definitely a gem in the Pittsburgh dining scene!“
“Awesome vibes and food! This place was spotlessly clean and well lit, everyone is incredibly friendly, service staff and even the cooks were so helpful, welcoming, and kind! We got homemade meatballs, zucchini tower, and homemade tiramisu and every single single was just to die for!!! Drinks were strong and cheap and the pool table is well taken care of!Kid-friendliness: High chairs available, bar in the front and laid back dining area in the back“
“For my family's first time here, we were super impressed by how clean, friendly, and good the food was. The service was great, and we had a wonderful time. It is laid out perfect inside, and is the perfect place to go to with friends, family, or your kids. We started with appetizers of the zucchini, poutine fries, and pretzel. For dinners, we tried the burger, steak salad, chicken tender basket, and the steak pita. We all loved everything we had, and couldn't find one negative about anything. We can't wait to go back again, and try something else!“
“So, I wish I could give the Loft, specifically, seven or eight stars. Great environment, great bartenders (Paul is just the nicest guy in the world, honestly). A great karaoke night every Monday. And I actually came here to say this: someone stole a six pack of beer I had bought, and ERIN, the gm, just insisted on replacing it, even though it had nothing to do with their establishment. I thought that was incredibly cool, and I think this place, mgmt and bartenders, will take care of you no matter what.“
“THE definition of small greasy spoon diner. Absolutely loved it. Pete is the owner, cook, host, waiter, etc. One man shop! Educated on wonderful jazz music while enjoying the best breakfast egg bowl topped with french toast "croutons"! Who thinks of this wonderful idea?!“
“I sometimes have a hard time finding this little neighborhood bar. It's a gem. I feel like it's kind of like a phantom bar that phases in and out of existence, like something out of Brigadoon. It defines the word 'cozy'. The food went from reheated pizza to (now) very respectable bar food. It's always chill here, and the prices are right. Bar staff are consistently friendly. It's good that this place is hard to find. It's for locals, and people that know how to behave in bars. If you can't respect that, you shouldn't go.“
“This was a mixed bag. There were 8 of us. Parking is sufficient, right off 88, not hard to find. Easy wheelchair access. After ordering, you seat yourself. They don't take reservations. Waitresses bring your drinks & food to the table. You order at a cafeteria counter, but the food is upscaled. They smoke their own meats outside in the parking lot. The menu is varied with brisket & pulled pork as the smoked products served in familiar as well as new formats like a pulled pork taco. Smelled great, but I was determined to try the buttered lobster roll. It was amazing! Small, tender bun stuffed with the meat of 1 lobster all in butter, unfortunately I did bite into a small bit of shell. Hubby tried the lentil, ham, veggie soup. It was a pretty large bowl & really good. His entree was a shaved ribeye sandwich, also excellent, although I thought it could have had more meat. Crispy, salted waffle fries were terrific. Others had burger, small plate salmon dinner, crab cake - everyone was pleased. The desserts were not very good. Creme Brulee & cheesecake were good, cookies & brownies were hard, not good.Overall, I would go back again. Next trip I will be trying those tacos.“
“Angela, is an angel. She was one of the most kind servers I have ever come across. They had a picture of a juicy cheeseburger out front which is what drew me in. It did not disappoint! It was so big I could barely finish.I am making this as one of my favorites ? you should too!“
“Food was delicious! No complains! Everything was cooked well done. Service was very awesome well polite. Highly recommend you try it! Fast service called in order and everything ordered was well completed. Can’t say enough about it! Well worth the money I spent for lunch! No Complaints! 5 Star Ratings!!“
“I recently tried this place for the first time via grubhub. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The delivery was timely, and the food was delicious. The portion size was perfect, and everything tasted so good. I also appreciated the message on the box “thank you for supporting our dream.” I will be back again, but in person. I’d also recommend to anyone!“
“Delightful veg restaurant always with at least one hearty gluten free option, stage in an an eccentrically decorated antique shop. Food was great, environment was very good roomy and interesting. Lots of big tables! Their menu changes weekly so check back often!Vegetarian options: All menu items vegetarian or veganDietary restrictions: Gluten free items clearly marked“
“I've lived 5 minutes away for years and never knew what I was missing!I tried Coughlins Law for the first time with my husband and kids a few weeks ago and have already been back two more times (will absolutely be going again and again because we NEED to try everything and the menu is always changing!)So far we've tried the Crab Rangoon Nachos (massive, addictive, and the perfect salty sweet app!), the Fried Burrata (looked delicious but can't confirm because my kids polished it off instantly) the Coughlin Law Burger (loved the theatrics with the smokey dome and genuinely could taste it, too! It was like a super upgraded outdoor BBQ burger) and about 10 more dishes. The service the first time was quick and helpful, but the most recent was above and beyond. The waiter we had was so friendly and funny it genuinely felt like he was talking to old friends the whole time and it made the whole meal that much better. All that to say, I highly recommend this place to anyone who hasn't been here yet. You truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu!*Pro-tip: order as much as you can because they make for killer leftovers too“
“This place has become a staple for our family since moving into the South Hills area. The small diner feel where the staff remembers your name and order before you can get the words out...this is it!! I love their Western Omelets and the Cinnamon Raisin Toast. But there's nothing in the menu subpar“
“The summit has been one of my favorite places since the day it opened. They have hands down the BEST Mac and cheese I've ever had. (I literally call and ask if they have it, believe me, if you know, you know!) they have the most creative cocktails and an amazing staff. I love the chill vibe with candles and dim lights. I newly found an extreme love for their smash burger as well. I'll be back, often!“
“Highly reccomend fantastic fish... didn't try the homemade hot sauce as I'm a tarter guy but maybe next time... got the fish sandwich and let's say I'm stuffed more than a crab cake.... Enough for two people or someone that's super hungry recommend the extra roll... only negative i can give is I'm not a fan of the Ken's tarter sauce it's a tad too thick like a paste... but then again it's hard to find a good pre made tarter sauce.... Wish they did a homemade tarter but i digress this is a very good fish place and the employees are nice and kind which is always a plus... will be back“
“I ordered two Chicken Romano dinners and a grilled chicken salad for take out. The Chicken Romano was delicious. It was also very juicy and tender. The grilled chicken salad was very tasty and it was huge. The staff was very friendly to me when I picked up my order. I highly recommended Emil’s and will definitely be back.“
“Reserved deck area for a meeting/working dinner. Meal was very enjoyable. So much more I want to try on the menu, so will go back. Not the best meeting space, though. Lots of noise echo and not all of the wall plugs were working for chargers. But that won't keep me from eating there again. Food was delish!!“
“Friendly bar staffFun drinksGood foodFun vibeGot the pierogi, which comes deep fried with the most incredible onion jam. The pierogi tasted like Mrs T's from the frozen section but that jam did laps around the restaurant. It was incredible. My friend got the pink drink which tasted like pink and white animal cookies.A fun place to stop on a stumble down Carson.“
“The Breakfast Spot is an updated version of its previous neighborhood restaurant staple, Gary’s, while still paying homage its roots and creating a refreshing, inviting, and inclusive environment. It’s easily going to become a beloved Carrick business in its own right where you can get the best pancakes you’ll ever have at a restaurant. I will be going back!“
“The fish was huge & falling off the plate. I don't think I've ever eaten anywhere that they didn't forget to bring something out...like ranch or mayo, but it didnt happen here. You get a lot of food for a very reasonable price. The place was packed the whole time we were there. All the staff were nice & friendly. Definitely worth a trip to South Hills!“
“After a long bike ride on the Boston Trail we were looking for somewhere local to pop in for lunch. We just found this restaurant on Google and couldn’t be happier we gave it a shot. The waitress was absolutely fantastic and the food was delicious! The place is super clean and looks recently updated. We will for sure be back! Thanks!“
“Was there for a private party of nineteen people. Had the back room.Had the two piece fried cod with fries and salad. The cod was cooked perfectly and the fries were good. Wife had broiled cod with haluski..both were excellent. The server was also excellent. One server for the party. She was on the ball and never had to wait for a beverage refill. The only negative would be only one pasta on the menu.Would definitely recommend and will return.“
“Burgers were outstanding! Juicy and cooked exactly as requested. I had the Yinzer with an egg on top. Friendly, helpful server was eager to customize the burger however you want. Fries were great too. Large selection of tap and bottled beers.Parking: Good number of free off street parking spots.“
“Went to a private party upstairs, about 40-50 people, a little tight for moving around with plenty of seating available for all. Food was good, wings hot with a variety of sauces to use, Mac and cheese bits and burritos. Had pulled beef and chicken on slider buns. Mac and cheese was very good-creamy. Open bar with fair choice of beers and liquor for the party.“
“Our first time here and it was great! A really fantastic beer selection, for starters. The food was so much better quality than the average restaurant/pub. Comfort food can sometimes be so basic and generic but the food here was REALLY impressive, fresh, perfectly seasoned and tasty. We'd go back in a second if we didn't live so far. Oh and the service was really good! Friendly and attentive.“
“From the moment we decided to host our baby shower at R Place Restaurant/Event Center, we knew we were in for something special, but we didn't realize just how exceptional the experience would be. Kim and Russ, the owners, turned what could have been a typical event into an unforgettable celebration.Attention to Detail: The dedication to making our day perfect was evident in every detail. Kim and Russ went above and beyond, taking care of the decorations themselves which transformed the space into a dreamy setting. Their eye for detail and their willingness to customize the decor to our liking made the venue look magical.Seamless Coordination: Planning an event can be daunting, but with Kim and Russ at the helm, everything flowed smoothly. They coordinated all aspects of the baby shower with such professionalism, allowing us to relax and enjoy our special day without a worry.Culinary Delight: The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish served was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented, receiving rave reviews from all our guests. The menu catered to a variety of tastes, and the quality of the food was consistently top-notch.Highly Recommend: It's rare to find a venue that offers not just a space, but a complete, worry-free experience. R Place Restaurant/Event Center does exactly that, and more. Whether you're planning a baby shower, or any event in between, I cannot recommend R Place enough. Kim and Russ will take your vision and elevate it, ensuring your event is not just successful, but memorable.Thank you, Kim, Russ, and the entire team at R Place, for making our baby shower such a joyous and stress-free celebration. Your passion for hospitality shines through, and we are immensely grateful for everything you did to make our day so special.“
“My friend and myself both got burgers, they were cooked as ordered, the fries were good. Service was prompt and attentive. I've been here a few times now and haven't been disappointed. It is a bar restaurant so it can get a little loud at times, but that's not unexpected for this sort of place, no one should be surprised there. Will come again.“
“My favorite breakfast spot in the Pittsburgh area! I usually get one of their many benedicts and they're always excellent. I've also tried a few omelets and biscuits and gravy. The menu is pretty large so there's something for everyone. I recommend reading before you go if you can because it can get overwhelming trying to read everything if they're busy.I've also tried some of their take home meals and they're really good too.It can get kind of busy on the weekend so there might be a wait but it's never been long.“
“Went for a girl’s night out, had a few flights and sandwiches. Food was really good and beer was fantastic. My fav is Those Winter Sundays. Reminds me of Andes Candies, very smooth. Friendly bar tenders. All around good experience.. will go again soon!“
“POSITIVE - This is an amazing location for a variety of outdoor lifestyles both Male & Female and also kid friendly to enjoy. They host Car shows, Bike Nights, live band and many others for great photo opportunities and social media tags. The food is good and reasonably priced however it is a "CASH ONLY" business. So be sure to stop at an ATM before arriving. Alcohol is reasonably priced also. There parking lot is massive and every event I attend has been packed. So if you are tired of indoor restaurants or just want to experience a fun outdoor adventure. Tiki is the place to be.NEGATIVE - They need to have a lot more shaded seating [preferably away from the stage]. It's a hit or miss that I and as many others are forced to stand, holding and eating our food & drinks because many customers just place purses and other items on the chairs & tables like some deck chairs at some resort then take off. Due to lack of seating, events do not last very long. (2 or 3 hours) than everyone leaves standing too long.Bring Ear Plugs. Noone does a sound check and more often than not the live bands play at a volume heard across the highway for no good reason. Another reason many people only stay for 30min to an hour.Kid-friendliness: The car shows and bike nights are great events to get kids outside and marvel at historical machinery, socialize and get fresh air.Parking: Massive parking lot. Most see to understand. Every event I've attended also has been free parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Outdoor location on more or less relatively flat surfaces. They do have at least 1 wheelchair accessible Porta Potty.“
“Had a funeral lunch there in October for my mother-in-law. The service was impeccable and the food selections were perfect! The staff expressed their sympathy. I attended another funeral luncheon recently somewhere else and the service and food was very lacking. Highly recommend having a group event here! The price was reasonable too.“
“To be honest I loved it here - warm and cozy atmosphere, servers were very friendly, food was really really good. I am only giving 4 stars for food simply because they have an eggs Benedict on the menu - which is most commonly a poached egg, but when ordered we were told they cannot poach eggs. So my husband just ordered something else- which he did enjoy, but he really wanted a good eggs Benedict. All in all, a great little breakfast place.“
“This is a nice restaurant. The food was good and the service was well-done. With my food allergies, the menu was a bit limited. I can't eat garlic so I had only a few options. The prices are a bit on the high side. My salad meal with one drink and one appetizer was $48 for one person. The restaurant would improve if the lighting was brighter. It was quite dark in the restaurant.“
“Stopped by for some beers & basic bar grubs during a weekday dinner time. Good beer choices. Their smash burger was great. Fries were a bit saltier than my taste but that's me nitpicking. Friendly barkeep, chill atmosphere during their slow hours.“
“This place is awesome! If you're looking for some fried fish and fried chicken that will blow your balls off, you've found the right place. I've had their chicken salad too and it's a yinzer masterpiece. Sure, I've had their gyro too and it wasn't a 10 out of 10 but this is the FISH and CHICKEN Boss not Mike and Tony's. Don't be a potato, pull you're head out of your rear end and order some fried deliciousness“
“My partner and I came here for our late Valentine's dinner and were very impressed. The menu had a great selection of entrees, and I was super pleased with my meatloaf. We got the deconstructed smores for dessert which was the perfect end to our celebration dinner. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered all our questions regarding drinks. We will be back!“
“This old school house serves up a delicious lunch menu. (Go to White Dove spa upstairs first.) Their Turkey Devonshire uses real roasted turkey (unlike a famous downtown venue.) Highly recommend the soup & lunch salad. Don't miss the homemade pastry selections!“
“Stopped in while biking the GAP and had the perfect breakfast to keep me fueled for the rest of my ride. Waitresses were very kind and attentive. Can't wait to go back on my next ride!Parking: Nice outdoor seating next to the building where you can take to-go orders.“
“Servers are very attentive and take very good care of you! The food was pub food, just okay. The boneless wings needed to be saucier. But we had such a fabulous time with karaoke! Saturday night karaoke was an absolute blast! Best karaoke we’ve been to! We will visit again and be back for sure ?“
“This was a really nice First Watch location! Very open atmosphere and a good amount of seating. Service was quick and the food came out fast as well! Definitely recommend their salads here but everything we have had here has been top notch! We will be back “
“Tonight was my first time going to this place for a meal. Every time I drive by there, I'm usually running errands on my days off off which are Saturday and Sunday and they're always busy. Well I made up my mind to go there for dinner tonight after work and I now know why they're always busy! From start to finish, everything was excellent. The service, the food presentation, the quality of the food preparation, the cleanliness of the establishment and the level of exceptional, true TEAMWORK that I witnessed from staff was just an amazing and very pleasant dining experience. I've never been there before, so I'm not positive, but I believe that the gentleman I saw busing tables and seating new customers was the owner? I love seeing people who love doing what they do in their work because they do it so much from the heart and it makes all the difference in the customer service experience for anyone who walks through that door. They have a motto there. It's something like "no bad seat in the house". And that's so true because no matter where you sit you are just as important to the folks serving you as any other person who walks through that door. I will most definitely be a repeat customer. They have a very nice variety of menu items and I want to try a lot of them. Thanks so much for a wonderful dining experience to all who serve there! ?“
“Wonderful spot for just about any occasion - amazing brunch and even better dinner! The service is outstanding and the food has always been top-notch - thrilled to see such a great place on East Carson Street that brings a lot of class and great food to the South Side Flats.“
“Great family friendly restaurant with something for everyone on menu. Staff is friendly; food ready in only a short wait time.Parking: Many spaces; handicap spaces available directly in frontWheelchair accessibility: No barriers except no automatic exterior door“
“I order from here frequently whether it be takeout or delivery and/or breakfast, lunch, or dinner and I've never had a problem or complaint about the food or employees. Prices are very reasonable and the delivery drivers are always on time when I've ordered. The food was hot and delicious as well. My favorite lunch/dinner item is the chicken Broccoli pizza (highly recommend) as not too many pizza places around offer it.“
