“We went for dinner around 5pm today with a group of 7 and everything was fantastic!!! The food was so fresh and flavorful. You can definitely tell they put love into their food and pride themselves on great presentation. BYOB with great mixers and smoothies. The service was very attentive and friendly. Very cozy inviting atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!!“

“It's an authentic mom & pop Mexican trattoria , which is a must visit. Esp for their Buffalo pizza, of all things. It's the best pizza I've eaten, maybe due to the fact that it was made in a wood fired ovenOur nachos were a bit too drenched in cheese , but it's a personal choice.Soup was good and warmRed snapper was crispy and baked to perfection in the wood fired ovenEnchiladas were made with corn tortillas, but delicious.I'd love to come back. The host/owner is a delight to meet. His love and care in food prep, service and customer dealing is warm and jovial.“

“Food is great very creative I’d recommend the shrimp taco, new favorite place drinks are good too not watered down like other places. Service here is awesome. Leah is great our second visit she remembered my name she treats her regulars like we visit everyday. At one point I thought she was the owner bc she does such a great job running the place. This is now my favorite place to go.“

“Pineapple Raisin Tamale is understated! Get Pineapple Raisin Tamale if it is offered. Get two! Get Three! It's pretty awesome and I am kicking myself for getting just one and having to share! Relative to the tacos I think these tamales may not get as much publicity but they are unique and fantastic! Of course the tacos are great as well. Of the two taco versions, Lamb and Pork, the Pork was my favorite. The lamb was slightly dry and maybe needed a little spice for my taste. If you have to get them to go because of lack of seating, don't wait too long to eat! If only their standard hours of business were better I'd be there more often.“

“Bomb Mexican food in Philly! It is definitely very authentic and they had a lot of menu options that I don't usually see at other Mexican places. The margaritas were so good with many different flavors to choose from. Definitely recommend getting the nachos. The guacamole was super green and vibrant, but unfortunately I felt like it was just a bit too bland and could have used some more salt and lime. I enjoyed my quesadilla, I had never had squash blossom in a quesadilla before and it actually worked really well. If you don't like onions though like me, they do put onions in their quesadillas so make sure to ask for no onions! I wouldn't come here on a date night, ambience is very casual, but I would definitely come here with a group of friends to catch up and get some margs!“

“Really great, inventive haute cuisine real Mexican; well executed thoughtfully prepared. Might have slipped a bit since my initial visit, but that could just be me being super impressed first go-around. Quite noisy on the weekends, be prepared to wait for your cocktails.“

“We had the best service with Kate! She gave us tips on what to order and ahead of time was dead on. We started with a cocktail and had a glass of wine with dinner. We split the spicy chicken empanadas, delicious, however, we did not detect the spice. We split the green chili Caesar. Honestly, the best Caesar in town. I do t see how they get it so cold and crisp, it's amazing! We then each had a ceviche. The baby shrimp, which were much bigger than anticipated, such wonderful flavor! My daughter had the crab, the server suggested mixing it right away to get the sauce mixed in. Very good! It did need more liquid. We simply poured the extra shrimp sauce in the crab, it was superb after that. The tomato on the shrimp just gives it more moisture and such a good flavor! We can't wait to go back!“

“This was a place we stumbled on by accident, waiting for a concert at Union transfer. Small little place but the food was unique and really good! Service was a little lacking but it was a busy Saturday night. Seems to be a popular spot! Highly recommend if you're in the area!“

“Once again I found myself traveling for work on the city of Brotherly Love looking for something both local and delicious. Mole Poblano was an absolute dream. It's what we would say in Spanish "muy bueno". The staff and service were incredibly kind and attentive. Now let's talk about the food. Ended up going with the chips and guacamole with the steak burrito. I can honestly say I have never had chips this good in my entire life yet alone guacamole that can be eaten alone with a spoon. The steak burrito had flavors that transported me across space and time. Highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone with taste buds.“

“I'm a native Texan and I am in HEAVEN. I just moved in down the street and this place is AMAZING. El Caracol serves up authentic dishes that are incredible and oh man I'm gonna eat so much. My husband ordered the camerones a la diabla (deviled shrimp) and they are gloriously garlicy. Add the orange sauce for extra spicy. I ordered the burrito mojado (wet burrito) with carnitas (it's the most delicious braised pork) and I could not stop eating it. The green salsa on the burrito is the perfect medium spicy. I cannot say enough good things. I am so thankful El Caracol is near me. It's small but this place is a must try. If you don't like it we can't be friends.“

“came in on a friday afternoon for an early dinner. no wait, BYOB, reasonable prices, and truly unlimited chips/salsa (the chips are freshly fried tho!) that I could honestly get full off of with a good drink imo not as good as some of the mexican food on the other side of the river, but if you're in ucity and crave a solid burrito, this is a cute spot! ended up as $21/pp after tax and tip and we had some leftovers too!“

“Awesome mexican restaurant in Fairmount! The restaurant looks small from the front but stretches back into really fun dining room. There is a patio option that would be great on a sunny day. The staff was very friendly and personable. I was seated as soon as I walked in but I did make a reservation beforehand. Our waitress made the recommendation for the Baja tacos and they did not disappoint (9/10) The carnitas tacos were excellent (9/10). We also started with the guacamole sampler, which comes with house chips and salsa. The plain guac was just average, but both the street corn and the spicy tuna guacamole were amazing. My friend and I split a margarita pitcher and they were great! A little sweet but perfectly strong. Easily 4 drinks in a pitcher. Overall this place is great for a first date, catching up with friends, or just some amazing food. Cantina Feliz will definitely be added into my regular rotation.“

“I have been going here since they opened. I really do love the food, drinks, and the fun interior. The service however always leaves something to be desired. The people are friendly but absent. I often have to wait to even be asked if I want a drink let alone food to start. I am not sure if it is a problem with not enough staff or inexperienced staff. Overall, the staff needs to be more attentive to customers. The music choices are completely fine but please, please turn it down. I was torn between 3 or 4 stars. I went with 4 bc there really is so much potential here. Bottom line, increase attentiveness and decrease the music volume and we got a phenomenal restaurant!“

“The food was excellent! I ate the nachos and veggies burrito. We ate at the upstairs bar and the bartender was great with recommendations for drinks and add-ons for food. It was funny to me that the decor is more old fashioned diner than Mexican restaurant, but it worked.“

“I wound up back in town for a small music festival at Venice Island, and this was the first place I came to. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla and a side of esquites, as well as a couple drinks. Both the quesadilla and esquites were larger than I thought they'd be. Usually when I order a side of esquites, it's only a few spoonfuls worth, but this was a fairly large bowl. Very good, though. It was cheesy and creamy and sweet with just a little spice. A good balance of flavors, and I really enjoyed it. The shrimp quesadilla was also really good. Lots of shrimp and a good amount of cheese. The habanero crema was a *little* too spicy for me, but it was good, too. The only downside to the food was that I couldn't finish it all and wasn't able to take the leftovers with me since I was heading to the festival right after, but I'm sure they would have been really good leftovers if I had been able to take them with! The drinks were also tasty. I got the mango habenero margarita and the spinarita (sangria and frozen margarita swirl. I didn't think the mango habenero margarita had much of a kick, but it *was* good. And the spinarita was delicious - I liked the blanace of the sweetness of the sangria and the sourness of the margarita. Outside of the food/drinks, service was once again top notch. My server (I believe he said his name was Peter) was very attentive and checked in the perfect amount. The rest of the staff was very friendly, too. Overall, I really enjoy Taqueria Amor, and I highly recommend it. If I were a local, this would for sure be one of my go-to spots!“

“I would give 6 stars if I could!!! Such a great addition to Havertown! The food is delicious, love the vibe and the service is amazing!!! The pineapple express wings were AMAZING! I saw some instagram stories saying to get them and our server Marissa (who was the sweetest by the way) sealed the deal by saying awesome they were- she was right!!! I am not a huge wing person and could have eaten 20 of them! The guac is so good and fresh; served with warm chips. My husband and I both got fajitas- shrimp and steak, soooo good! Also the cucumber marg was great, strong (not mad about that) and delicious! Adding this in because my husband is a huge sports guy- the Phillies ended and within minutes they put on March Madness games- no awkward gap where you're watching infomercials for hours (it is his pet peeve haha). So happy that Al Pastor is in town! Can't wait to return!“

“I ordered the Beef Birria Tacos. First time was good I ordered on a Saturday night. My second time I went around 4pm not as good the consommé had a strong tomato paste flavor to me and they added too many onions to the top. Overall the food was good. Best to call ahead there really isn’t a waiting area inside. I would recommend them and continue to support this small local business.“

“We ordered a torta al pastor and enchiladas verdes. Everything on both plates was delicious except for the chicken in the enchiladas, which was not so good, but I was still very happy with the meal. I wouldn't recommend dining in if you're looking for a quiet eating environment, though - it was pretty noisy in the restaurant between the loud salsa music and the loud thumping (??).“

“A gem that always delivers in south philly! Super amazing tacos and tortas and from that I’d try much more of their menu in the future. They set the standard so I imagine the rest of the food is just as superb. Service here is always really good, servers are very energetic and kind and able to speak two languages, so utmost respect. Their agua frescos are huge and very tasty. I want to try their dessert but their portions are just so generous and perfect to keep me full for hours. 10/10 everytime would bring everyone I know here.“

“Friend and I stopped by for a bite we were just looking for something local, so glad we stopped!I tried their Birria Tacos and I must say they are some of the better ones I’ve had. Really crispy, cheesy, and the consommé was so flavorful. Rice & Beans were good too although I wish the side portion they give you was a little bigger. The horchata was some of the best horchata I think I ever had, I could drink a couple of those. I really enjoyed the interior of the restaurant as well it’s very colorful and the stained glass pieces were pretty to look at. Service was perfect, quick and kept our table clean while checking in.Thank you guys I would love to come back!“

“If I could give this place a six. I would. We were in South Philly. Looking for a place to grab lunch. My wife loves Frida Kahlo's art work. So we decided to stop in. The young lady that took care of us was cheerful, friendly, accomamadating, and helpful. The place is great. Paintings and decorations on point. Ok you get it. Moving in to the food.. I had a burrito with thin steak. My wife had sandwhich with marinated pork, Mexican cheese, lettuce, tomato.. The portions were huge. The food was delicious. It's rare I have to ask for a take home box. Later I finished it. Was excellent even left over. I highly recommend this place..“

“Me and my friends enjoyed Mission Taqueria! We went during happy hour, which has good deals on tacos (1 taco was $3) and had some chips with it! I will say the menu was a bit confusing. I wanted chips and salsa, and my waiter was having a hard time helping me get it as a side. I didnt want 3 dips, with that its $13 which is crazy. We just wanted a small order and eventually she was able to help us. Our food was yummy but drinks were small and pricey. But, I'd come back again for happy hour because of the food.“

“I was pleasantly surprised by the food that I had here, maybe because I mostly associate it with happy hours and loud music. When we walked in, there were no tables left, but we managed to squeeze into a table near the bar, which is first-come first-serve. I ordered the fish tacos, and the seasoning and crispiness of the fish were great. I was also full after the three. For our appetizer, we got a bean dish that tasted a bit underseasoned. By the time I drove all the way back 2 get my order I paid $48 bucks for. They were closed. 10:pm they close. But it was only 9:45 pm. Imagine that. My 2 peeps were very hungry & so I said u guys can eat whatever the taco employee bagged up & handed me. Idk what it was but it was also gross losing & cold... Etc... Etc... I didn't go bak 2 that Taco Bell since last week. I'm done w fast food after feeling that food in my stomach for days. At a time. I'm a lil bit older now. So no more fast foods.
