“We decided on a Tuesday that we wanted to dine here the next day and were concerned that we didn't yet have a reservation. We were not able to make one online for 5 people. The next day, we were able to call in the early afternoon and speak to someone to make a reservation. We were so glad we did since the place became full not long after we arrived! Our hostess, servers, and all employees were wonderful, all 5 of our entrees were fabulous, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience here!“

“We got stuck at Pittsburgh on our way home and had to check in at Hyatt hotel. This place is very convinient for travelers who wants to have a quick meal without going out of the hotel premises. Service was ok. I liked the place - not noisy. Staff were helpful and food is ok, not bad. All in all, i would still recommend this place if you want to grab some bite without going out of the hotel.“

“This is a Pittsburgh must! The Italian food is the star of the show but there is a variety of options. Some highlights include the tomato sauce and vodka sauce.
The portions are really big. Even the lunch portion size is big. Be prepared to eat or get a take home container.
The other stars are the homemade pies. The chocolate cream, banana cream and variations on both are amazing! They offer seasonal ones too.
I highly recommend stopping in when you're out in Moon.“

“We recently had a mercy lunch buffet at the moonlite cafe and it was great . The banquet hall was nice and spacious and the food was really good . I would highly recommend this place for your event needs or just visiting for a drink and a bite to eat .“

“I do love a good diner and this is very certainly one of them. When the food brings you back to your childhood memories — that’s culinary art at its finest.

Absolute gem of a place, lovely staff, and friendly diners around you. The food is unpretentious, simple, fresh, and perfect. Gave me comfort I really needed.

(Even if I am criminal for ordering meatloaf dinner at breakfast 😎)

“Excellent place to have dinner. I ordered the corn and crab chowder. It was delicious and tasted like beef, corn, and crab chowder. I definitely would get that again. I also ordered the crab cakes with fries. Those guys were so yummy. It's a bit heavy on the salt but delicious. Shana was our waitress, and she kept us tended to with excellent service. We are staying at this hotel tonight, and I'm tempted to order that corn and crab chowder for a bedtime snack later because it was that good.“

“MY friend and I went there on Saturday to celebrate our birthdays..Our server Adam was simply amazing. He patiently waited for us to decide on our drink order and went as far as to let us try the drink to see if we liked it, which we didn’t but he took it off our bill and then brought us a birthday card and wished us a happy birthday. The food was very delicious. But our main complaint comes down to Adam !! He was so fantastic and such a kind person . They truly have a rare gem in him as an employee! I hope they appreciate him because he is what makes it a truly wonderful experience there. We will definitely go back there and if we are lucky Adam will be our server.!!!“

“Went there for the first time on a Saturday for dinner. Nice place with lots of options. Our server who was doubling as cook was super nice and answered all our questions and special requests. I got the Cranberry Poppins salad. It was fresh, delicious and very large. The rest of my party had the fish sandwich, the chicken tenders and fries and the Alcove Burger. Everyone liked their food. We left just as the band was setting up. Would definitely go back again.“

“I've been ordering from Big Shot Bob's in Avalon for over ten years. They're the best in the Burgh. They opened on New Year's Day to provide fresh delicious wings. Pre-ordering wings for New Year's Day was a breeze and the service is very friendly. I was able to call and make a change to a pick up order with ease.

My all time favorite all Old Bay Wet. What's pictured, Black and Gold, Garlic Ranch Wet and Big Shot Bob's Signature.

“*SEMITRUCKS*: Overnight Space available, came with a Load here to deliver, they start about 6am, be aware that they charge LUMPER Fee, they only take cash or com checks or EFS. I had to walk to a gas station to an ATM to get the cash. Besides that, the people that work in this place they are very polite and nice, they offer me coffee, and greet me properly. “Our family of 5 were on our way to Applebee's for lunch today. Unfortunately, we were in a car accident at the main intersection before the restaurant. Another car had hit us, leaving our car disabled. While everyone involved was okay, our lunch plans were obviously changed. While waiting for the tow trucks and clean up, 2 of my children and myself needed to use the restroom. We walked into the restaurant and asked to use the bathroom, explaining the situation, and the server we interacted with was beyond amazing. (I'm sorry I didnt get her name. We were rather shaken up.) She told us of course we could use the restrooms and asked if we were okay and if we needed anything else. She and a manager on duty checked on us one more time before we left, sending us out with water and the invitation to come back if we needed anything. As if we needed another reason to love this restaurant, they were so extremely sweet to us even when we weren't paying customers. They were just good humans. We never did get our Applebee's lunch today, but will definitely be back for our lunches and to thank them again for the generosity and compassion. ❤️❤️“
