“Everyone is so friendly!! I stopped in on a whim, I figured if I don’t like it I can leave.
The bartenders Kim and Tim were awesome joking and chatting with me, made me feel comfortable immediately.

“Such a fun venue with lots of exciting shows! I've been for the recession pop party in May and we're headed to the Taylor Swift party tonight. The hot dogs are delicious (they have lots of specialty dogs with various toppings!) and the drinks are absolutely phenomenal. The people who work there are great, I accidentally deleted the email with my tickets and Mariah emailed me very shortly afterwards and got me taken care of! It is clear that Bottlerocket takes pride in their shows and their contributions to Pittsburgh culture! We can't wait for even more fun events in the future!!! 🩵🩵“

Nicole and the staff are kind, responsive, accommodating, and went above and beyond to help make the night go just as planned. Nicole helped me plan every detail, including personalized drinks and coordination with a photographer. I would definitely recommend the Confidant if you are looking for great drinks, a cozy atmosphere, and amazing service. Our time there could not have been better!“

“Gotta be some of the best bar food in Pittsburgh. The pierogi in spicy garlic parmesan sauce are one of our favorite bites in the city and the hand cut fries are terrific, always with a nice crisp on them. A very good craft beer selection and great service as well. Order a trash can if you're feeling frisky 🦝“

“Reliable neighborhood bar with great bartenders. Fridays during lent they have a semi-limited fryer menu because they are selling so much fish because it's a great deal, quick & good. Its beer battered & fried. Its pretty large. For take out, ask for the bun to be on the side and to not salt your fries or put the salt seasoning on the side (they can be a little salty but if you have a beer in hand, you're good to go).“

“Wanted to make sure I wrote this review bc of my amazing experience. First, to get this out of the way… really cool vibe, great beers at great prices, and a great spot for local music. I went recently to see Sacred Monsters who were in town from Philly. It was the lead singer, KP’s birthday and we wanted to do something special for her. Long story short, Toy is amazing. Not only did she help with the surprise but she… on her own… ordered cupcakes for KP since I couldn’t find a cake that met her dietary restrictions. She was so helpful and enthusiastic about helping. I can’t wait to go back.“

“Dive dive dive. Perfect dive bar feel. Jukebox was old and lovely with great options. Bars in a pretty residential area. Smoking inside, beers in cans and seating in the front window. It’s very divey, beer and cig vibes. Pool table in the back, bartender was an older chill guy with a badass attitude.“

“Great bar and awesome staff! Fun, different, and super welcoming — really a bar for everyone. Drinks are made with fresh-squeezed orange and lime juice, which is such a nice touch. Good mix of music and a great vibe overall. My sisters and I were visiting Pittsburgh for the first time and ended up here two nights in a row. You've found it...at the R BAR... 5 mins. from downtown(avoid rush hour) The owner is a semi-retired musician..and his wife besides being a "Hottie" LOL..Is the salt of the earth...If you make it there on Sundays..You'll find one of the best"Bloody Mary's" around...and a 6 piece band called "The Midnight Horns" who all lead their own bands doing the week,but come together at the R BAR to roar..(Jazz,R@B,Blues)..I must also mention 2 of the best bartenders around..Toni and Billy.will treat you like family...So why not give the R BAR 5 stars? Only because of it's size,and no food..however a Pizza parlor opened next door with a wide variety of treats...good enough to feed those Boilermakers..from the R BAR...“

The meat for both were so tender & just pulled apart with a fork. All the sides were very good also & enjoyed the lemon cake dessert to go.
