I was going to go back today for more but they’re closed, so I’ll be back Sunday! The food was made with love and care and you can tell! That’s so hard to find in Philly nowadays. The crab cakes were delicious too! The service was amazing as well. I was in the car eating and the chef still checked to see if I enjoyed the food. 10/10 recommend. “Nile Cafe in Germantown offers affordable vegan Soul food with big flavor! The modest interior is lightly decorated and sparsely seated. There were maybe six two-chaired tables. Outdoor seating options are available. Walking in, locals cycled in, ordered, waited, and cycled out constantly. All the food, served in to-go containers, was fantastic. The duck in gravy and the jerk chicken stole the show before we had the dessert. After being impressed, we dug deeper into the menu. The coffee ice cream was super creamy and the cake was moist and decadent. Nile Cafe is special. Although there isn't much on the menu we didn't try, the food was definitely worth a revisit. I might just stop in for dessert when I'm around.“

“Was at a men's conference for the Keystone Jurisdiction of the C.O.G.IC. Was going to meet up with the other men. Wanted a nice breakfast, and that is what I got. Ordered pancakes and eggs easy over. Took a little bit, but it was worth the wait. Pancakes were nice and fluffy. Had my doubts before I placed the order, but once received and tasted it. All doubts were gone.

“I had the turkey wings with gravy, yams, and collard greens. The turkey wings were good, but the collard green was a little bit salted for my taste. The yams that I had were not potato but looked to be mash.
Overall, I enjoyed the meal. Maybe the next time things will be much different.“

“I’ve been going to Lagos since 2015 Lagos will never do you wrong from the Rice to the Pasta to the Wings and the Pizza my favorite thing about them is their homemade strawberry lemonade with real fresh cut up strawberry pieces in it. Items that I had baked turkey wings (, mac n cheese, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes with gravy, and dressing. All were good. They need to serve a bread. My bestfriend had the fried fish and it was soooo good. I wouldn't recommend the greens...they were missing something besides hot sauce.

Great to see a black owned and operated place thriving. Im from Indiana and I will be back.

Now the man at the front he appears nice, but I think he makes up prices based off how he is feeling at the moment. Because I normally get the something each time I go. Down to the size of the platter, and the food in the platter. So the price should be the same, because I get the same thing each time I go. Some days I pay $18.00, some days I pay $20.00 and recently I paid $22.00. When I asked him why it was a different prices, he got very spicy with me. That was the last time I went there.

My boyfriend is Haitian, so the next time I go back he will be with me. If he can't go with me I won't be go.“
