“Such a gem of a spot! West Philly def needed a good bagel spot & this place is it. Today we got the Cali on a sesame & the Loxsmith on an everything! Both soooo delish & fresh. The shop itself is very small so it does get crowded in the AM, I recommend ordering ahead of time. They also serve Rival Bros coffee & have amazing popsicles & ice cream sandwiches. Def a new go to spot for me!!“

“I come here with my family pretty frequently on the weekends to get bagels and they're always delicious (our favorite is the everything bagel - it's so good). Did catering this morning for teacher's appreciation week and had a HUGE order - was frankly not going to be surprised if something went wrong, like something left out or for it to not be ready yet, but nope - it was a perfect experience. Everything was ready to go. They took a few extra seconds to grab the cream cheese since they had kept it refrigerated to ensure it was still cold, and everything was organized, ready to go, with nothing missing. “This is the best bagel place in Philly. We tried some of the others in the city, but had to come back for our final breakfast.
The price is affordable and the food is amazing! Fresh bagels baked, with a soft warm center, a little crisp and chewy on the outside - filled with the yummiest thick schmear!!! It’s just perfection!
The staff are friendly and happy to have you. Service is quick, and a simple bagel bar atmosphere. When I’m back in Philly - I’ll be back! So many great options - try one of everything!“

I ordered on toast tab and immediately got a reward that I used for the next day. The drinks we ordered, including a chai tea latte, a Matcha latte and then an ordinary black tea and coffee, were all made correctly & available as stated when we arrived for pick up. The restaurant offers five or six tables inside. There was only one four top, but we lucked out in getting it each time. Would definitely return the next time we’re in Center City!“

The bagel sandwiches were so good I felt like we were sitting home in Jersey eating these sandwiches…eggs and meat cooked perfectly AND the bagels were big and tasty!! “I visit Schmear (formerly Fitzwater Bagel) at least twice a week and have been for the last 5 years. I will wake up with cravings for their breakfast sandwiches. I always go for a BEC with a hashbrown added. My partner gets the scallion cream cheese and is always impressed with the quality of their cream cheeses. On top of that, the women behind the counter running it are always so kind and accommodating, and very efficient with the way they roll out the orders. Geneva is a bright ray of sunshine and remembers me every time I see her. I've never been disappointed with my order - in fact, I'm about to go grab some breakfast from them right now!“

“Best manhattan around - owner is an awesome guy, they always make it good and are efficient and friendly. A+Edit: this must be said there are 4 manhattan bagel near me, and only this location knows how to make a hashbrown - im a big fan of hashbrown with the breakfast sandwich, i like it crisper and made well, and this location NAILS it perfectly. All 3 other locations cannot get the well done hashbrown right, or even get it crispy at all. This is the manhattan bagel to go to if you are in the area or visiting“

“This cute coffee place was right across the street from our hotel. They honestly had the best lattes in Philly while we were visiting- so smooth and creamy. Our kids loved the French beignets, much different than New Orleans but so yummy. Their pastries were all so fresh. We highly recommend this place“
