The food is consistently outstanding — rich, authentic, and deeply satisfying. I’ve traveled to India myself, and I can honestly say this place does justice to Indian cuisine. The flavors, spices, and attention to detail feel genuine and respectful of the culture, not watered down.“

“We had booked Veda for our daughter's wedding welcome dinner on 5/3/24. The whole process from the time we contacted them till we had our function was smooth. They were very accommodating to our requirements and went beyond our expectations. If you are looking to have a large gathering I will definitely recommend doing a buyout. We decided on the menu and then we were guests at our own dinner. It is full service. The ambience was good and our guests enjoyed both the food and their awesome selection of cocktails. Gaurav Bhardwaj and Brazil provided excellent service. Did I mention Food? Very Good and Flavorful. We are from Delhi and big foodies, and I must tell you that they superseded our expectations. The décor is very pleasant and we didn't need to do anything additional They provided us two stations for our henna ladies. Our function was a big hit. “Delicious Indian cuisine. I’ve been struggling to find a good Indian restaurant since I moved to the Philly area about 6 months ago, and I mean really struggling. Out of all of the places I’ve tried, Srinagar takes the cake!!! The Chicken Tikka Masala is incredible and is the perfect spice level for a medium. I did only get delivery via a third party service, but would certainly consider eating in next time. Will be eating here again!!!“

“Some of the best Indian food in the world (outside of India) is located in the United Kingdom and in this Kingsessing restaurant. Usually, Indian food found in the US tends to be served in a very thick, heavy sauce. This place took me back to the UK joints I loved in 2019 and 2024. The chicken curry sauce was a perfect blend of spices and broth which meshed nicely with the basmati rice and naan. This is my first time eating their food but will certainly not be my last. EXCELLENT JOB!!

“My mom and I came in here for an early dinner and we were blown away. There was no one in there except for us, but the service was phenomenal. Very kind wait staff. We ordered a chicken vindaloo and chicken Tikka masala, a side of naan, and two mango lassis. Everything was delicious. At the end the waiter came out with some rice pudding for us to try on the house and now I'd say it's worth getting every time.“

The butter chicken had a rich, well-balanced sauce, not too sweet like some places tend to make it, and the naan came out warm and slightly charred in all the right spots. Portions were generous enough that I had leftovers for the next day's lunch. Service was a little slow to start, took a few minutes longer than expected just to get water and menus, but once our order was in, food arrived at a decent pace. The restaurant has a cozy, dimly lit interior that felt intimate rather than cramped. Spice levels were customizable, and they didn't hold back when I asked for medium-hot, which I respected. Only minor complaint is the background music was a touch too loud for conversation. Would definitely return to try more of the menu.“

“Saffron offers excellent lunch menu deals. For $10-12, you get a lunch portion meal (Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Saag, etc.) with rice, salad, and a daily accompaniment. Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious, but a little sweet for me. The Lamb Saag was also a little fatty, but very flavorful. Granted this was a takeout order during COVID. We typically prefer dining in to review a restaurant.“

My older parents and I were looking for a place to eat (and having a tough time finding one!); finally we saw that Ekta was open, though we then discovered that it was due to close in 40 minutes. I am deeply grateful to our server, Owen, for never making us feel like we were inconveniencing the staff by arriving so close to closing, and for going out of his way to help my mom (who has limited mobility) to navigate the steps both when we arrived and when we left. He situated us at a table just next to the door, which was even more helpful. As for the food itself, my dad was delighted with his garlic kabob, and I really enjoyed the Chandrakala (first time I'd ever encountered these dried-fruit-and-coconut dumplings) and our bread selections (Lachha Paratha and Ekta Naan, the latter kind of an adaptation of the Peshawari Naan concept but with black sesame seeds included). My mom and I both guzzled our delicious lassis (mango and pomegranate). Though toned down at our request, the Alu Gobi was still a bit spicy for me, but tasty nonetheless.“

“A gal pal suggested we try out the new restaurant. It was EXCELLENT. I had lamb saag. She had mango chicken? We tasted each other's food and just giggled. We had the smoothie and Indian Coke drink- both awesome. The dining room is TINY but the table settings are works of art- fancy napkin sculptures and elegant, playful silverware & dishes. The onion stuffed naan was exquisite. Our server was attentive, polite and answered our questions without hostility or offense. The spices are ON POINT. Their system of personally developing everyone's plate is outstanding. I discovered that I am a wimpy +2 while my friend is a +3. Trying both our food with the varying heat/spice ratios, I could enjoy and taste all the flavors without having my tongue burned off, lol. My ONLY complaint, which has kept me from trying them in the past, is that to order and pick-up take-out, you must use their back door which I find to be creepy and dangerous looking. So I guess I'll only go when I can eat in, using the front door, LOL. However, I was impressed when we asked for our leftovers to be packaged, our server gave each of us free complimentary fresh bismati rice to go along with our uneaten entrees. They give good portions! And the packaging is washable, reusable, recyclable plastic containers- not cheap carboard that soaks up sauces or scary unstable thin plastic that leaks or horrible styrofoam that should be outlawed. THIS RESTAURANT IS WONDERFUL!“

“Got a large catering order from Spicy Marsala for an event, Shiblu was very accommodating and prepared a great variety of food for the event which everyone loved! Their Samosa's in particular are excellent and their sauces for the samosas, naan and tikka marsala are amazing, looking forward to trying more items on their menu!

“My husband and I have been ordering delivery and takeout from Curry Leaf for a couple months now. We both agree it is the best Indian restaurant we've had the pleasure of regularly ordering from, after having other regular spots in Boston, NYC, and Philadelphia. The Hyderabadi Biryani is to die for, and the Tikka Masala is also fantastic -- ask for extra spicy! I find the goat is particularly outstanding, flavorful and always tender.

One of the things that we particularly appreciate is that they are very responsive to modification requests, like omitting cilantro.“

“I've been eating from the trucks in this area for 5 years now and Nafi Food Express has become my favorite truck in the area. First, the owners of the truck are particularly friendly and generous to people in this area. Next, I absolutely love their chili chicken over rice. It is extremely flavorful and quite spicy. It's a refreshing and lighter alternative to the heavier foods served by trucks around this area. I can't recommend this dish enough. I also enjoy the $1 naan. I consider it a pleasure to recommend this food truck to people in the area.“

“I've ordered takeout many times before, but I've never left a comment—until now. I've tried several Indian restaurants, but the food from Kazi's Tandoor & Grill stands out. It tastes excellent, especially the Chicken Biriyani. I have no idea how they make the biriyani rice so aromatic while keeping the fat content so low. Chicken often has a strong smell and aftertaste, particularly when reheated—but not this biriyani. I have to give it a 5-star rating. Honestly, I don't even have the words to fully express how impressed I am with this dish. I'm also curious about the kind of rice they use in the biriyani—it must be top-quality, definitely not regular Basmati.“
