“I'm so late with this review, I know this, but I had to let you know what a wonderful job you all did on Superbowl Sunday. Food was great, ambience was chill and lively at the same time, but the service is what really stood out! I sat at the bar, and my bartenders were Monae and Aliyah (spell check), they were so friendly, knowledgeable and attentive! That's not always easy to come by in bar/restaurants these days, but those ladies nailed it! Thank you for a wonderful time!“

“Dry chicken on my Mediterranean salad which I asked for on the side but was put on top of salad. Hi ken seemed pretty cooked then heated up. Idk. Wife had hard, dry french toast and her bacon was so crispy and hard: hard to eat really.
Coffee took 15 min to get.
Server was working hard. Not her fault. Kitchen needs vast improvement.“

“Only reason I'm giving 4 stars for service is because they were packed on wing night and only had 1 server and 1 bartender and there was some kind of neighborhood meeting about parking or something going on, and there was also a fantasy draft upstairs. Our server and Bartender were running like crazy, so getting a side of mayo was a little tough.

But... the food 😋. To start, we got the Honey Caribbean Wings AND the Loaded Cheese Fries. (We were starving when we arrived!)They were nice sized wings, and were cooked to perfection. (I like my wings a little bit crispy) they were tossed in the sauce which was finger lickin good. The fries were LOADED. Like, smothered in toppings. We loved them and put a nice dent in them!

I got the Tap House Bacon Burger. Now, I am a burger girl and let me tell you, this baby did not disappoint(it never does) Two patties, layered with New Yorker cheese, the bacon was perf, just enough lettuce & tomato and I gotta have my mayo and ketchup! It was slammin! I saved half for lunch because I over indulged on the apps(which we also saved the 2nd half for lunch, lol! )

My partner chose the French Onion(cheesesteak). The roll was soft and stuffed with meat, provolone cheese and fried onions. Alone.. it was great, but they give you a small cup of French onion soup to dip in(or to pour on) and that was chef's kiss! A really friggen good steak! She also only finished half!

We both enjoyed a few draft beers with our meal and our check was about 80 bucks.

“Really like this place. Have been coming for a few months now. They make a good drink and the food is great. Love the chicken quesidillas! The staff is friendly and attentive. The size of the bar is really big, with lots of room for the tables, too.“

“This was my second visit to Ripplewood Whiskey & Craft, and my first time experiencing their happy hour—and it did not disappoint. The menu had a great variety, and I enjoyed both the drinks and the pork bao buns.

A standout “happy accident” was ordering the pretzel rolls with truffle butter… absolutely amazing. That alone is worth coming back for.

The bartenders were attentive and provided great service throughout our visit. We also tried the deviled eggs, which were just okay for me—the mustard base was a bit too strong for my taste.

Overall, Ripplewood is a lovely spot with a relaxed vibe and nice outdoor seating in the back. It’s a great place for drinks, small bites, and a chill evening out.“

“The Glenside Pub is exactly what a neighborhood pub should be. Great food, the best Guinness around, and a classic old-school atmosphere right in the heart of Glenside. Jennie is one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had—funny, quirky, and your glass is never empty. She’s always ready with a perfectly timed “that’s what she said” joke. Ryan runs a great place and is also very generous to the local community. Definitely worth stopping in.“

“It’s less fancy than you might think, but honestly, the prices here are unreal for what you get. We came on a weekday and it was pretty chill. Good drinks and a really relaxed atmosphere, totally worth checking out for a casual hang.“

“Didn't know if they had a kitchen or not they were open on Sunday and usually being open on Sunday you have to have food, I'm not sure if that's the case anymore. Bartender was friendly the bar itself was well lit seat for somewhat comfortable. Clean clean bar clean floor clean bathrooms well bathroom the men's room was clean. On the smaller side but comfortable. Will definitely try the food next time if they have a kitchen that's open. More to come definitely a place worth visiting again“

“We waited for almost an hour after we ordered to get our food. And when it finally came there were mistakes with the order. Tables that were seated after us were finished their dinner before ours even came. Very frustrating and not normal for the springhouse tavern. Also it was extremely noisy; so loud that we had trouble hearing our server and also had trouble hearing each other at our table. Not a good night for us.“

I'd go there again, especially if I was in the mood to drink too because they had a solid beer selection with a few nicer craft options. I also saw they had a good selection of beer to go which is a bonus.“

“Daly’s has 3 Diamond 7’ pool tables in the bar area, which is a huge plus. My team played in an APA tournament there last weekend and the tables play great. The service was excellent. The prices are right. The food is bar food. I’d go back and hang out in a Friday night for pool and beer. Also, pretty solid beer selection.“

“My friends & I (party of 10) met at Capone's on Sunday, March 24, 2024. We were set up in a room that made it very easy for us to talk with each other while we ate. The menu gave a lot of options for all of us, the service was outstanding, and we were not rushed. Under Jess and Destiny’s care, this place goes ALL OUT on decoration. If they had lights outside this would be the PECO free-electricity-for-the-season winner. For Halloween, this place was haunted. Other occasions are spectacular.“

“I’m from California live in Washington state now flew out there for a game. Was told about this place went with some friends and had a ball. I loved the atmosphere the music the vibe it’s like in the movies had never experienced a bar like this one. Would go back if I visit Philly again.“

“We had a show at 8PM, and a reservation for 7PM. We were clear that we needed to be quick and our server was fantastic. We were greeted within 5 minutes, served in maybe 15, and our server had us out of there with time to spare to get to our show right across the street. And all while being attentive, and polite with a full section. Our server was fantastic, our food was fantastic, and we had a great time!!! We highly recommend Rooster's for a bite to eat.“

Bartenders need to learn how to work the remote for the music , It is Bose system that you can adjust for each end of the bar and the right channel is off along with the bass . lol I always listen to music when I am there .“

“I come here fairly regularly with my running group. This a great neighborhood bar, the owner is awesome and super friendly. The food is also better than you'd expect for a dive bar, but it still has the dive bar charm. This is easily my favorite bar up the hill in Manayunk“

“Castle Roxx is the spot where I randomly stumbled upon in my young 20s and I “remember” having a great night, but I recently went back during a bar crawl last Oct ‘25.

It’s just fun! There’s a spin the wheel, I ended up with a blowup pony, and more recently just had a good time. Worth it to go in a grab a drink or shot, then continue on with wherever the night goes!“

“We had such a wonderful experience at the Jarrettown Hotel for a wedding dinner last night. The entire evening was beautiful, and the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.

The staff deserves a special mention — everyone was incredibly polite, respectful, hardworking, and attentive. Even when the storm came and we had to move inside, they handled everything so professionally and made sure everyone was comfortable.

Our child was especially happy with the pasta and French fries they brought for her, which made the evening even more special for our family. 😊

Overall, it was a beautiful wedding, a lovely dinner, and a wonderful memory for all of us. We truly enjoyed our time at the Jarrettown Hotel and would be very happy to come back again!“

“A friend and I went to The Greeks to watch the Phillies game and one of the worker that was behind the bar were being RUDE to us. We were sitting at the bar and (not even) 4 minutes into the game. He come to us and said; if you guys going to sit here, you have to order, than he added, I’m being serious. My friend and I both know that, but he DID NOT have to be rude about it by adding “I’m serious” at the end of that statement. Before the game even started, I told the other worker that was behind the bar that I would order a few minutes into the game.“

“This the definition of a dive bar. I went there after my 21st birthday and the beer was very cheap two dollars for a Coors light on tap. The bartender woman was super friendly and very helpful. The only thing I don't like is that they allow smoking inside which is great if your a smoker or don't mind the smell and smoke of tobacco in the air. I can't stand having someone two seats away from me smoking his cigarette or cigars or whatever type of tobacco they are smoking and having to breathe in all that tobacco smoke that is in the air while drinking my beer is very unpleasant for me. I honestly like drinking my beers at home. I definitely do have a crush on the bartender. I honestly might just go back to enjoy a cheap beer and talk with the bartender again.“

“We showed up today a Steppys very skeptical because of name change. But all was good old Steppys. Michele the waitress was great, polite and professional, my service was perfect, my prime rib dinner was fabulous, so was the crab cakes, salad, mash tasters, and french onion soup. “If you are looking for a local divey bar this is it. Bartender was pleasant. There was a dart game in progress on the night we came. We were too late to order food but behind the bar and bar top seemed pretty clean. The booths near front entrance also looked recently re done. Even though we are not from the area- the regulars were welcoming.“

“Pitchers is a spot I go strictly for shots in between bar hopping around Manayunk. I used to stay to grab 1-2 drinks since it’s usually me and my girlfriends. We came to a conclusion that it’s fun for a shot or two, but then to carry on since it’s more of a sports bar (nothing wrong with that!)

There are regulars and college students that go here which is cool. It’s a diverse group, but I’ve noticed more guys drink here.

The bartenders are quick and friendly, even when the bar is packed with people, they always seem to spot me grabbing their attention.

Drinks are cheap/inexpensive as compared to center city. I went in there and got two tequila sodas, only $12 for the two. I think when I ordered shots it only came out to around $25 for 4, but I’m not sure.
