They were SO great to work with and tailored entrees to accommodate food allergies and preferences. We chose the braised beef short ribs, eggplant parm, crab cakes, and cranberry and apple stuffed chicken (which I still think about almost a month later). We had a couple of last minute no-shows, and we even got to take home their entrees. Everything was truly DELICIOUS! John Serock Catering knows what they're doing.“

“I recently had my wedding hosted at Lia's Catering/ Ballrooms at Boothwyn and it was the best decision we ever made!! Everything went so smoothly! We had our ceremony in their lounge room, and it fit our huge wedding guestlist so well! It was so beautiful in the ceremony room - we did an arch from Bonnie's Wonder Garden! Then we had cocktail hour in the Sapphire room - which was just outside the lounge room, so everybody loved being able to get to each room so fast! Then we had our reception in the Main Ballroom - all in the same building! Perfect for a winter wedding. Everything was so beautiful!! We were so appreciative by how nice, kind, patient the staff all are. We had a planner that took care of all of the details. Coordinating our wishes went so easily! Everything was delivered hot and delicious and was a ton of food. Great value! All of our guests raved about the food. Especially the eggplant Parm. Emily was very helpful with the ordering process and the delivery person Melissa was friendly and did a great job setting everything up. Would highly recommend Jems for any party.“

Safety, they say. Whatever. Kids behind the bumper shmids behind the shmumper? This lot has ample spots with a forward facing exit(apron) onto the pike. And any driver with a feel for their brakes, and decent ground clearance, can work with the parts that have curb between their spot and the road.“
“A great choice for a Christing Party at my house .While we were all at the mass and the baptism (2hr) They came and set up a complete buffet for 25. My dining room table looked amazing. I walked into my amazing smelling house ( like it smells when I cook all day) and did nothing but eat and talk to my guests. That is priceless. The veal parm was an excellent choice as was the penne with rosa sauce. I got many compliments on the food. Bread was delicious. I will do this again. Maybe my Thanksgiving dinner?? A gentleman gave me a coupon for a free sandwich as a gift for my first time.I ordered the pulled pork with a side of Mac and cheese. Amazing. Man did it hit! They have lemonade and sweet tea, but I mixed it half and half and my gosh. The food was literally some of the best I had. I used the mission belle and smokehouse sauce. They offer 6 hot sauces on the table. Lisa was cleaning and serving the table, she helped me so much, was very attentive, and cleaned up the table for us. I was taken back.Lisa then offered me a free dessert as a first time visitor. “It's been about two years that we've been purchasing meats (and much more) from the Meat House. I have never thought to express my praise through a much deserved review. The 4.7 average seems a little low to me (LOL). Our own personal experiences have been 5-star each and every time...even when I call on the phone. Their customer service is consistently exemplary, up to, and including, the owner when he's there. He can relay his experience with A5 wagyu, in Japan no less, to you. I've never been told no to any request. They are one of the true old school butcher shops of yesteryear, prioritizing customers' wants and needs. A varied, wide selection of quality meats and gourmet, yes, gourmet products. Tons of gourmet sauces and dressings, tons of rubs and spices for BBQing and other forms of cooking, wood pellets for grilling, exquisite in-house deli turkey, A5 Japanese wagyu steaks, bison, venison, wild boar, gator sausages, duck, ostrich, rabbit...need I say more? A couple of the standouts to me thus far have been their pre-rubbed St. Louis ribs and twice baked potatoes. But the pièce de résistance has been the marinated Brazilian steak tips!! My goodness! Those jawns was crazy (in my north Philly dialect and verbiage)!!! See, we love and appreciate quality food and customer service, since I work in food service, and am a cashier at my evening job. Once I gave Marilyn, the owner, a general idea of the type of the event we wanted, she came up with great suggestions for the menu and set up so it was really easy even though I live out of town. She worked directly with the venue on a lot of the details, and the results were beautiful and everyone raved about the food. Her staff couldn’t have been more thoughtful, keeping the tables looking nice and assisting guests as needed. “Our wedding was absolutely amazing, and it all started with the venue. My fiance and I visited maybe 4-5 venues, each with their unique offerings, but none with the right balance. We'd been to a wedding at The Waterfall before touring ourselves and it was an absolute blast of an experience; so we're naturally curious about what they had to offer. Our coordinator throughout our entire journey, Abigail, ran the tour and obviously we'd seen the place in person before. What sold us was what we were getting for the cost. We were impressed by the amount of food our guests were receiving, the style and cuisines and were very much sold on the fact that they were training their chefs on Indian and African cuisines. Many other venues did not even have the option for us to bring in our food choices, or a majority of the cost was going towards some part of the package that we didn't care about and could not un-elect. Our guests complimented the food selection most of all, they did not expect such a large array and indeed wished they had more space to carry it all!Another great perk which came along was a newly renovated suite which gave us the space and ability to get what we needed to eat done before the ceremony and before the reception. Lighting options for the ballroom were also very wide and helped us set the right atmosphere for the reception. The option to decide between and outdoor and indoor ceremony up til the day of was also very much appreciated (other venues required notice well in advance which doesnt make any sense given the unpredictability of weather; luckily for us it was a lightly overcast day.)Transacting with the Waterfall was very seamless and they were always willing to work with us be it extra services we requested for an game we played during our wedding day or answering our incessant questions about what could and could not be done; Abigail was patient and extremely helpful with us through it all. We shared numerous emails and phone calls confirming different aspects of the day, because you really can't remember everything in one go and as you get closer the more real it becomes and finer the details need to become.We had a worry when we tasted the Indian food offerings during their annual open house, which was months before our wedding. We were able to relay our concerns and Abigail worked with us and the Head Chef to ensure things went as smooth as possible for our Big Day. The point person/captain they appointed for the day ensured everything went on time, as well and was available at key points through the day.Honestly, as things were getting hectic through the few weeks leading up, for some reason it felt like Abigail and The Waterfall were taking care of what needed to be taken care of, so it felt like that past was actually getting easier. We really appreciate everything they did on their end to ensure such a perfect day for us. We had bot a traditional Indian ceremony and a reception onsite and between the Waterfall staff and our vendors we didn't have to worry about anything.It was also delightful to see some of the Waterfall staff enjoying themselves to the music and even our photobooth; we absolutely loved seeing the pictures our vendors sent us.For any folks getting married soon, get married here! He brought out a list to show me with ‘*’ or highlighted so I could find which ice creams were gluten free and nut free. I appreciated that so much! Very thoughtful customer service. Thank you for creating that list for all the people like me that are a nightmare to serve! lol.Dietary restrictions: They have signs posted about nuts, and a sheet of paper that lists everything I can’t eat! “We hosted our daughters wedding at the Carriage House on August 11th 2023. Venue could not have been better. Mike, the owner, was outstanding in accommodating our group of 180 people and went beyond the call of duty at the end of the evening when we were locked out of the truck we were planning to store the wedding gear in. Food was amazing, which is not surprising given the Brandywine Prime connection, and the staff were extremely professional and friendly. We would highly recommend the Carriage House as a wedding venue set in the grounds of Rockwood Park, the aesthetics match the service.“

“Combined a scoop of edible chocolate chip cookie dough with scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was Sunday at 5ish and very quiet in town so we sat on the bench outside of Cookie Dope and ate our treats. Cost $15 for the two of us to grab dessert there. Several choices of cookie doughs to select from in order for it to be bit different than other ice-cream places. The cookie dough made the cost worth it to try something new tonight. The young woman working today was super kind.“
“Very good catering. Food was very good. I saw 12% service charge. Wife told me small business gets charged more for products so they can stay in business. That's fine don't understand why is marked as separate expense instead of just put into the bill. They probably have to do it this way for their taxes or some legality. Anyhow VERY GOOD CATERER!!!!
