“I went here yesterday after work after it being highly recommended to me and I am very glad that I finally tried it. I got an order of the mozzarella sticks and two slices of pepperoni. The mozzarella sticks came first I finished those off and then the slices of pizza came and my eyes doubled in size, I was not expecting the slices to be as big as they were. Everything about the pizza was perfect just the right amount of sauce a nice heavy amount of cheese and very good pepperoni. I will definitely be back heck I’m going back again today after work that’s how good it was.“

The staff is always friendly. The one little lady who works there is always so bubbly. “I always get takeout but the dine in area is a clean simple pizza shop vibe.
The counter service is so busy and still organized and friendly. The pizza is very different than what you may be use to. Cheese and toppings are piled on cold after the crust and sauce are cooked to a crispy tasty perfection. I like to take a few bites as served and then bake or broil the rest. You gotta love cheese like I do to love this pizza. I personally love the sauce because it's not sweet nor bitter, very flavorful and clearly fresh made. If you think you can eat 4 square pieces, you may want to order 3 or save some for leftovers. If you're still reading, parking is tight but spots open fairly quickly. Just be a bit patient.“

“I have been going to this place since I was a kid. After a visit to Kennywood we would always go for pizza here. The original owners we some of the nicest people I had met over the years and their daughter is carrying on the tradition . She always greets everyone with a smile and is super friendly :) My family and I love their square pizza and usually asked for it to be baked alittle longer for extra crunchiness. My 6 yr old grandson loves their pizza and always ask for it when he a over . The sauce and cheese is always the right amount, the pepperoni is yummy too !!! Sicilian slice with pepperoni corner piece had the edges of a Detroit style and the crunch…. Got a specialty slice with sausage ricotta mozzarella with hot honey. No flavor fatigue, this is a brilliant pizza and being from NJ this goes toe to toe with all of the best pie. Delicious!“

“I was visiting family here in Pittsburgh and i heard that i HAVE to try Danny’s Hoagies. And it did not disappoint! I came in and this kid with a cast took my order, very kind and was patient with me, we were talking about basketball after i ordered, you could just tell it’s a great community. And the Philly was AMAZING!!!!! I have thought about driving back from Chicago just to get that hoagie again! Great place, great food, great atmosphere, highly recommend!!“
