“On a whim we ate at Koto Sushi for the first time and I can't wait to go back. Prices are more than reasonable and the food is solidly tasty. (their tempura batter is so light and fluffy. nice and crisp!) The true highlight of this place is how kind the staff is. Our server was perfect- attentive and friendly. Chef J.J stopped by the table to introduced himself. Also extremely kind! I'm excited to make this a regular stop of mine.“

“Got sushi which was alright and the wagyu beef yaki udon and chicken yaki udon. The wagyu beef yaki udon was really good, I wish there were more pieces, the chicken was plentiful but I personally didn’t like it was much as the beef. The udon itself was bomb in both the dishes.“

“My favorite sushi place in Philadelphia! Small, cozy, friendly service and DELICIOUS FOOD!!!
I’ve been ordering delivery and pick-ups for 4 years! However, I love to dine in! The place is intimate and welcoming due to the great atmosphere and friendly hosts!
The quality is incredibly consistent! I have never been disappointed with a single order!
The regular rolls are prepared with the same care as the special rolls! Even their miso soup is way beyond the normal miso soup experience!
You can bring your own alcoholic beverage or just enjoy their fresh tea, which they never let go empty (again, very attentive and friendly hosts!)
I highly suggest Kei Sushi if you are into Japanese cuisine and are looking for a classic and delicious experience!“

“An easy 5 stars! Every bite of our omakase dinner was delicious. Very fresh fish! Service was attentive and it was spectacular getting to watch the chef work his magic up close. The ambiance was pleasant. I also appreciated that they accommodated my husband and I as pescatarians.

“We happened upon this gem purely by chance. We had an amazing meal from A-Z (!!!) The sushi is phenomenal; sit at the newly designed sushi bar in the back and enjoy unique daily catches that come in through the connections the owner has with local fishermen. The restaurant is also known for their aged steaks, and Kobe prime rib, which we will try next time. I had the miso black bass and it was one of the best flavors with fish I have ever had. The broth had such a delicate shiitake mushroom flavor, which I loved. I literally couldn’t have had enough of this delicate, delicious dish. I could have had two orders and eaten it all! I think this dish epitomizes what the word UMAMI means. I also had the sautéed mushroom extravaganza, a treat for every taste bud of incredible flavors melted with a delicate sauce. My husband had their unique collection of sushi and sashimi choices that were all enjoyed at their stunningly beautiful sushi bar, complete with two young, passionate chefs who love what they do, and treasure their personal designs of the fish and rolls. All the rolls are presented in this great wooden cradle design, which I thought was so unique and functional. The owner was all smiles and genuinely happy to have had us try his new restaurant. I recommend it highly for either an exceptional steak meal (all are btw, so reasonably priced so order them for sure), or the traditional sushi. You won’t be disappointed. This will be our weekly go-to restaurant and we are counting the days until we will return, which actually will be next Tuesday the 9th! Bravo to the whole team at Umami and thank you for your passion for Japanese food, and for doing it right from A-Z. We will see you soon! Debbie and Gene“

“Well made & seasoned. Created quickly with precision. My daughter asked for her 13th Birthday dinner to be ordered from here. They even have a Birthday roll which was fantastic. They gave the birthday girl an extra pastry & what we can only describe as a special Birthday roll/cake. See pic. Highly recommend.“

“We went for happy hour on Saturday 1pm-3pm $6.50 for all the food on the happy hour menu and $8 cocktails. The lotus blossom drink was so good it’s a lychee martini. But will sell out fast . The sushi was big and fresh! The wings was so good and crispy. Cute vibe . Solo date friendly. Small place . Good customer service. Good for date or girls day out“

“I really enjoyed the sushi at this restaurant. Even though we visited late at night, the food was impressively fresh and delicious. I ordered the eel avocado, dragon roll, and shrimp tempura roll, and each one was absolutely tasty.
The service was excellent as well—the waiter and waitress were both incredibly nice and respectful. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I’d definitely recommend it!“

“I’ve been to Fuji Mountain several times; 1x for dinner, 3x time for karaoke events. I booked events for karaoke with large groups of 20+ people (including my birthday and my brother’s birthday). To say they’re amazing is an understatement. Fae (the owner) really does take care of you when you have an event. Each event I’ve had has been in rooms that are clean, with built in bathrooms (or right outside of room), AC units, not to mention quick service of food and drinks. The food is DELICIOUS. I’ve had their gyoza, firecracker roll, takoyaki, and much more. They never disappoint and it’s seriously always such a great time. Karaoke $75/hour, but if you spend $500+ on your tab karaoke rooms are free. It is done through a book and remote control system, where you flip through a book of songs and then punch in the numbers on a remote. They’re super easy to use. Needless to say, come here for your birthdays, celebrations, or night out with your friends. You will not be disappointed. I LOVE Fuji Mountain.
Dietary restrictions: There are DF, GF, and vegetarian options.
Parking: Limited spots on chestnut, but there is a paid parking lot down the street.“

“We ordered delivery the beauty Alaskan roll and the torch roll. I love sushi but try not to eat much white rice so I was excited to see they had a black rice substitute option. I’ve never seen that at a sushi place before. It was a healthier substitute and still yummy and helped my sushi craving. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again.“

“When you first enter this restaurant, you may be taken aback because it’s so lowkey. There are only two tables and a very small guest area in general. But the food is actually quite decent. I enjoyed the pancake and sushi we ordered here. I’d definitely get the eel cake sushi again.“

“Got lunch to go. Food was affordable and ready on time after I ordered online. The inside was small but cute but there was kind of a weird smell (not just normal sushi/fish, maybe the cleaner they used?) so I was glad my food was takeout. It's near where I was staying and would def order there again.“

“Cute place. It's pretty small. I didn't dine in but it seems like an intimate dining spot. There's good variety on the menu. Lunch special seems great but did not get to try. Got the mixed assortment which comes with a California roll, tuna roll, and salmon roll for $21. It's good price for downtown Philly. Sushi lacked a bit of flavor tho, but prices not bad.“

“I worked temporarily in Conshohocken and used a delivery app to order from this place. Decided to get the “lion king” and a couple more rolls. I have to confess I was initially confused by the lion king's appearance due to being a hot “baked” roll - I had completely missed that part but was down to try it. This roll is one of the best and most unique flavors I've ever had. Even this day, I still remember the taste and wish I could go back to order it again. Unfortunately, I live far from PA, but if you are nearby, love sushi, and like to try new things, I encourage you to get it.

“High quality fish arranged in to-go boxes for a fair price. At $27, I got 3 rolls, 6 pieces of sushi, an avocado, fish, rice salad, and edamame. 3 rolls at this quality is typically around $20 alone so I’m not sure what the bad reviews about price and quality are. Funny enough, this is actually the best quality sushi you will find in UCity, and it’s takeout.“

“We’re staying in an Airbnb a few blocks away so walked up (based on the positive reviews) and ordered mackerel, eel and salmon sushi, a California roll, edamame and the avocado salad. The fish was really fresh and tasted great. Portions seemed very fair for the price. Would definitely do it again if we’re ever back in this neighborhood visiting.“
