“I've been going to Valozzi's for years, so I know the drill with pricing. But $50+ for a crab cake w a few asparagus spears is high in Chicago, let alone Greensburg. There weren't many entre options under $40. The $14 calamari appetized was way too salty (I have a very high tolerance for salt, so...)- we mentioned this but didn't get much empathy/feedback. The wine by the glass options were disappointing- not expending them to crack a new bottle of Caymus for 2 glasses, but washing down that $55 crab cake with wine from a $15 retail bottle is disappointing. The best value here has always been the pizza- but we were looking for a nice dinner out to sit down and explore some interesting main courses. The place was fairly empty, but we were seated at a small table against the wall (route 30 was immediately behind the wall outside that table leaned against) despite having reservations. Our waiter was nice, and I'm sure we should have complained more/asked to move/asked for the inedible calamari to be taken off our bill. But I didn't have the energy on a Fri. night so I guess shame on me. Unfortunately, we probably won't be back- spending over $150 with one of us having pizza (+2 glasses of sub-par wine) is not the best choice. Sadly, there aren't many good choices left if you are looking to avoid the big box, processed food choices like Olive Garden and Red Lobster in this area.“
“HONESTLY THE BEST TASTING Italian food for your money. Tons of leftovers to go home for 2 meals. Chicken Alfredo and Salmon are phenomenal. I would go to olives and peppers any day, then go to Red Lobster or Olive Garden. You will not be disappointed!“
“Four Stars overall, 5 stars for their pizza. All of Giannillis food is very good and reasonably priced. Their pizza, in my opinion, is among the best in Greensburg. It is made with dough that I consider traditional pizza dough. I enjoy the whole pie, including the crust.“
“Fantastic meal, amazing gluten free options and super friendly wait staff. Service was quick and friendly and the meal was wonderful. It's not easy to find good GF restaurants, especially when you're from out of town, but this was a pleasant surprise!“
“We are new to town, our son just started attending School here. We found DeGinnaro’s on google and this resto was fabulous. Tons of yummy food-you won’t leave hungry! Very authentic Italian-the green beans, the chicken parm and the cod fish were 10/10. Jimmy and Timmy have great people skills and are obviously having fun! Make sure you check it out!“
“Always ordered take out from giannilli's 2 all these years and finally went in and sat down for dinner. Had some simple wedding soup, salads, crab stuffed mushrooms - and of course a pizza to go! All the food is always incredible! Oh that sauce! ??“
“We had dinner there last night with our family. Our family style dinner included chicken and peppers, chicken parmesan, manicotti, soup, and salad. Everything was excellent and generous portions. The waitress was very attentive. We are looking forward to our next visit to LaVitas, a small, welcoming, family style restaurant where it takes you back to dinner at Grandma's. It's a hidden gem in the heart of Greensburg.“
“Very nice place for my son's end of season football banquet. Staff was friendly and attentive. Place was very clean and decorated real nice for the Christmas season. Only complaint was the little dabs of food they served you. There were little roasted potatoes you were allowed 2 of and Alfredo noodles that they put maybe 6 on your plate and if you ask for more they make sure to only scoop 3 more noodles on to your plate.“
“Good food , delicious. But I felt sorry for the staff , they appeared exhausted and overwhelmed due to the massive amount of customers present and in line waiting. It was non-stop for staff but they rose to the occasion the best they could!“
“Needed a place for dinner while staying in Greensburg. It seemed to have positive reviews on here so I went. And it was very good. Very nice staff and everything was spot on and kept my somewhat healthy diet going strong. I will be back one of these days.“
“We eat here about once a month. Service is usually very good. On 1-31-24 the service was EXCELLENT! We had a young man, Jack, as our server. He introduced himself, smiled genuinely & warmly, looked us in the eye when he spoke to us, was professional & courteous, and very attentive. It was so refreshing to have a young person exhibit these qualities. As business owners, we take notice of staff and service and appreciate it when it is exceptional. The food at Sunset is always good. Sometimes the dining room a little tight & loud but it's because they are usually busy. Outdoor area is a nice option in warmer months. I only post when I am very disappointed or exceptionally pleased. Jack was definitely worth mentioning!“
“Just moved to Pittsburgh about 6 months ago from NJ, girlfriend told me about this place, told me it was thin and sweet and she was right :) unique style that I never had. Sweet, and like a pie crust. 10/10. A lot different styles here then what I’m used to, but so far this is one of the best ones I’ve tried.“
“My husband and I are on a “ let’s find the best cheesesteak sub near us” mission. We stopped here last night and right now this is # 1. Excellent sub, fresh cut fries were delicious and the horseradish sauce they serve with it put everything over the top.Not too expensive and the waitress was sooooooo nice and friendly. If you want a great home cooked dinner with a great waitstaff go here. ❤️❤️“
“Cut from a freshly made dough, hand thrown to perfection and tossed with just the proper amount of toppings to create the Biggest Slice In Town. A pie definitely worth a second visit, perfect for a family meal, a gathering of friends or just a fresh slice of pie to enjoy and wind down with after a long day at the office.“
“Under new ownership! Wow!! Pleasantly surprised!! The dough was light and not heavy with a crisp on the bottom you would expect from New York. I’ve traveled a lot and had pizza at some of the best in the country and this place holds its own and I didn’t expect a Calzone of this quality! Perfect… Highly recommend this place and if you’ve had a less than desired experience in the past then I’d give them a second look. I almost didn’t come from some negative reviews but I am glad I did! I do not know the owners and this is a real review… I am just passionate about quality and I am glad I found this place! Thank you!“
“Let me start by saying, this deserves 6 stars. The food was fabulous, the size of the entrees was enormous, the atmosphere was wonderful and our server Kassidy was wonderful. It is not often you get both quality and quantity, but here you will. The menu is filled many unique dishes and appetizers. I included photos of the menu for review. We had the baked goat cheese appetizer which Kassidy recommended and it didn't disappoint. In fact this may be the best appetizer I have ever had. The bread was like nothing I have ever had, it was so good. Besides the wonderful entrees, I would recommend getting this appetizer even if you got nothing else. I probably don't have to add this, but I HIGHLY recommend this Jaffre's location if you are looking for a wonderful meal, delicious food and great service.Thank you again Kassidy for the recommendations and helping make our first time at Jaffres in Latrobe extra special.PS: I forgot to mention their fries are fresh cut and AWESOME!Parking: Very large parking lot in the back, with plenty of available parking.“
