Nothing fancy, nothing complicated.I knew they were minutes (like there's more fingers on your hand than there were minutes till they closed) away from closing when I got there. When I got to the counter they told me that they were closed. I responded saying that I was only after a vanilla cone and I was paying with a card. They were awesome and I got my ice cream. I know they weren't thrilled for someone to walk in when I did, but they weren't rude or made me feel like they were irritated I was there. Even when they said they were closed it was in an apologetic tone.Thanks again guys.I've worked enough retail jobs and if you're going into a place close to closing time; as the customer you should be quick - know what you're after, uncomplicated - don't try to specialize, polite - they've been working all day and want to get home.“

“If you have never been to the Icebox Creamery in Zelienople, you are missing out. The ice cream is handmade with all natural ingredients. The flavors will change with some frequency but there are a handful of staples as well. Today my wife enjoyed a scoop of pumpkin pie paired with a scoop of blueberry cobbler and I had a scoop of peanut butter and a scoop of chocolate marshmallow. We both were very satisfied with our choices and had to leave before we ordered more. It’s that good. So if you are in the Zelie area, stop in the Icebox Creamery (cash only) and pamper your palate.“

Their offerings are extremely sweet, sugar overload. Tasted as if there were too many unneeded ingredients. However, your mileage may vary if you’re into enamel tingling sweet. I did the experience, but am left with a lack of interest to return for more. Wouldn’t be a bad place to take a special someone or to grab a big order for a social event. Recommend for the experience and first timers.

“It works for the area. Prices are a bit high, especially for the do it yourself concept and only seemingly one employee working to finish orders, but it's not unexpected for the area and in the current economy.

The cake batter frozen yogurt I shared with my wife was good, and my kids enjoyed their choices, especially the amount of mix ins they could add in.“
