“We stopped in here to get delicious sushi and that was exactly what we got! The manager was so helpful and kind to us. The sushi was the absolute best we ever had. Everything tasted so fresh. This place is meant as a to-go location but they have one table inside and we sat down and ate our sushi there. Highly recommmed“

“This is the kind of place that I don't really want to rate that high because I want to keep it to myself. but they need ratings so that they can keep their doors open. so that I can enjoy this food for a long time to come. which is the best. and boba tea is Two Doors. it's an all-in-one white girls dream“

“Visiting from out of town. We live in central PA so there’s not much Japanese food. When it’s cold out katsu curry just hits the spot and theirs is absolutely delicious. Loved how the spice builds and the rice soaked up the curry. The beni shoga is delicious on top of curry dipped bites of katsu“

“I recently ate at Kiku and the sushi was the best I have ever eaten. The sushi was fresh and delicious, as it has been every time I have eaten there. It is definitely the best sushi in the area. You can taste the true flavor of the fish without sauces or spices. At Kiku you will enjoy an authentic sushi experience that won't disappoint.“

“Had an amazing experience at Katana Pittsburgh! The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Every dish tasted authentic and well-balanced. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was clean, modern, and very comfortable. Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants in the area. Highly recommend and will be coming back!“
“I bought a mug from Burlington made by TMD. Not every product is perfect. It did say wash in cold water. Mine started chipping after I washed in warm water. I left my review with the chipped mug. They contacted me. Unfortunately I could not get a refund. But they stayed true to their customer. I really loved that mug. $5 pretty good price for it. Anyway they apologized and sent me way more then what I paid for that one mug. Still going to use it tho. THANK TMD “
“Kazoku Sushi is a local restaurant inside a food hall. Customers may order foods either online or at the cash register. The menu lists appetizers, poke bowls, sashimi, nigiri, and rolls. Prices are typical. The employee spoke very nicely with me. I really liked my salmon-avocado roll, and I liked my vegetable spring rolls.“

“We got back from Japan a week ago and were missing the amazing food. Thankfully, my husband found Yukiyama. Wow! It was super authentic and we loved it. We ordered way too much food not thinking the portions would be Americanized. No matter. I'm happy to have leftovers for lunch this week. We loved the gyoza (dumplings). They were so soft, delicate and flavorful. They didn't need the sauce but the sauce was terrific. The pictures of their sushi looked good so I wanted to try it. The tuna roll was delicious and only $6. My husband loved his chashu (pork that tastes just like bacon) ramen. There were tons of noodles, huge pieces of pork and mushrooms. He really enjoyed it and was in the mood for ramen since we loved it so much in Japan. I got the chicken katsu (basically a cut up fried chicken cutlet or breast). It was so crispy, tender and flavorful. The portion was giant. It came with white rice, miso soup and the sweet and delicious katsu sauce that I love. We wi definitely be back to try other things when we come back out to Squirrel Hill. The man who brought out the food was so sweet. We miss Japan and found an amazing new spot.“

“Extensive seafood menu & fresh fish sold. Soup & chowder. We had the crab cake sandwich, it was not good. $23. Fishy. It could be much better. Not sure what type of crab is used, fairly certain it was not lump crab meat? We will try a different seafood entree or sandwich on our next visit & hope for better.“

“This place is fantastic!I used to work in SHV, and I would have killed for a sushi joint like this back in those days. Based on the prices and location, I would have never expected such a high quality meal with such a pleasant staff experience. I believe the gentleman who assisted me was named Bawi (I could have misheard). He could not have been more kind and gracious. I was there at the end of the night after a fairly slow weekday for them, and he was telling me how they make all of their Sushi fresh --every single day. Since they would not be carrying any of their pre-prepared rolls into the next day, he sent me home with a few samples of some rolls to try something new and share w/ my family. We loved everything!I highly recommend giving them a chance the next time you find yourself in or around the food court!“

“Emily the hostess was amazing and accommodating when we opted for bar seats but unfortunately were right under the A/C
Thank you ❣️
Cocktails were AMAZING
Food was good. A bit overpriced but everything feels that way these days. We spent $40 per person including tip on shared little bites. We were still hungry. A tiny bowl of complimentary white rice would have gone a long way
Whole Flying Squid was amazing.
Will be back to try more.
Loved the DJ“

“I LOVE this place SO much! You get a ton of food! You can't beat their sushi and lunch combo specials! Every one there is SUPER nice! Their egg drop soup is the best I've ever tasted and you can order it with no starch and add extra egg! I get it by the quart. I did get a tiny shell in mine today, but that's no issue, and it is easy to spit into a napkin, and it has only happened once before.(I get it a lot) The string beans & chicken is glorious! The eggrolls are crispy, filled and not dried out! Basically everything tastes like it did pre-2020. It is totally worth it! The only thing I've ever had here that I wasn't a fan of was the Pad Thai, but I think that's because I was used to it from elsewhere, so it was just different to me...I still ate it tho! Stop by and try a lunch special! I also love that they use natural ginger with their sushi and not that weird pink stuff! lol! I only wish I didn't live 30 minutes away. You can tell they care!“

“🌟 A Sushi Delight in Downtown Pittsburgh! 🌟 If you’re a sushi lover, you absolutely must try the Spider Roll at Luke Wholey’s Wild Alaskan Grille. This incredible roll is a symphony of textures and flavors that will leave your taste buds dancing with joy. Imagine biting into a perfectly crispy USDA soft shell crab, complemented by the fresh crunch of asparagus and cucumber, the creamy richness of avocado, and the delightful pop of masago. This roll is huge and too big for our chopstick skills, so we used our fingers! Each piece is generously topped with a luscious combination of eel sauce, spicy sauce, and a sprinkle of scallions, adding a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spicy notes. For just $19, you get 10 pieces of this culinary masterpiece, making it not only a delicious treat but also a fantastic value. Whether you’re a sushi aficionado or just looking to try something new, the Spider Roll at Luke Wholey’s is a must-try experience in the heart of Pittsburgh. 🍣✨“

“Golden Gai restaurant serves Japanese foods. My husband and I had a reservation for dinner at the bar counter. “This is my new favorite sushi spots. The food was phenomenal, service was excellent and overall the restaurant is very clean. Only thing I will say is that it’s a bit pricy, well worth it though.
For reference the photo that I posted was the sushi I got plus a 20$ bottle of sake. Came out to 88$ + tip.“

“Today was very crowded, as expected, since it was Mother's Day. There was a "special" menu today for a slightly higher fee ($22), but it was to include Crab Legs that they rarely have. I go there 1-2 times/month. I was a bit skeptical about the quality and replenishment of the Crab Legs. Oh, my!!! They were fantastic and constantly replenished. This was fantastic! Thank You.. was much appreciated!“

“Taipei is by far the best sushi and Chinese restaurant in the Fox Chapel area. The servers are courteous and the specialty sushi rolls are noticeabley larger and tastier than Jimmy Wan's. In my opinion, Taipei also offers a better selection than Jimmy Wan's. We also appreciate Taipei's complimentary fried wontons served before each meal and orange slices provided at the end of service. This family-friendly restaurant always make us feel at home.“

“We ate here on Christmas Day and the staff was so courteous. My son mentioned that he is vegetarian and the chef made his food before any meat touched the griddle. It was such a small thing and we didn’t ask for this—they just did it. What a lovely touch that put my son at ease. Will come back for sure!“
