“We have come to La Strada many times... This time was by far the worst experience we have ever had. Sadly, the server was a bit overwhelmed I think. He came over to us and then let us sit for about 15 mins before he came back. Glad it is BYOB or else we probably would have been waiting for drinks also. After he finally took our order, which we knew by the sounds of other tables comments, it prob would come out wrong, we finally got our soup and salad and then another waitress that works there came over with the pork chop special to give us... Um, no that is not by any chance close to what we ordered. She walks away. Our server never came over to tell us what happened. About 20 mins or so later, we received our order.... BUT LO and BEHOLD, my husband's dinner which was Pollo Gamberi was missing ALL of the shrimp. This is a staple of this dish. I am really not sure what happened. But he comped our soup, gave us 2 pieces of dessert to take home, even though we said no and I also heard the ppl next to us never got their app. And he comped that. The owner is sadly gonna keep losing money if the server doesn't step up his game. From now on, when we go in , we will ask for the servers we have had and we recognize.“

I would definitely return. I stopped in with my daughter for a quick slice. We got the buffalo chicken and plain. The crust was amazing - not too thin and the perfect amount of crunch. I have to say the buffalo chicken was one of the best I have ever had. Often, places overdo it with the ratios where the slice will be uncooked in some areas or overwhelmed with the chicken. The finely mince the chicken, and it really made all the difference. It was a delicious slice.“

The food was delicious, even our 1.5 yr old grandson couldn’t stop eating everything. The manager was the absolute kindest man I’ve met, our reservation was running a little late on their end and he made up for in such a nice way to our family plus thanked both our sons and daughter in law for serving in the Army. “This is the best Italian place around. The vodka sauce is EVERYTHING. I could drink the vodka sauce straight it's that good and flavorful, I have never had anything like it. The people are also the best, they take such good care of you and can personalize anything too including getting the chicken parm with vodka sauce instead of marinara, or adding veggies to a pasta. The Primavera and calamari are also fantastic and they have really great cakes and ice cream. This is my go to spot!“

“Went to Adelina's five months ago the week they opened. It was a disappointing experience on multiple fronts and my review said as much. Last night was completely different and I thought it was important to say so. The service was attentive. The wine list was expanded and had more affordable options. But the star of the night was the food. Eggplant fritters were crispy outside and pillowy inside and came with a delicious complementary dipping sauce. A charcuterie board is not usually something that excites me. But the selections we tried were transportative. The pecorino tartufo with our Pinot noir were the perfect pair. The other meats and cheese we tried made every bite a party. Our entree selection was the lasagne, which we didn't realize was vegetarian. The dish completely won us over. Inventive and flavorful, the lasagne in not like something you've had before and is a must try! I'm so glad we came back and gave Adelina's another try. Cheers!“

“We had not been to the Jarrettown on a weekend evening in a very long time. I had forgotten about the live music. The music talent situated in the bar area was terrific. He performed music from the 60s to current melodies. Our busgirl was very polite and pleasant and ensured that we always had water. She even boxed our leftovers for us which was really appreciated. Our entire meal was delicious. The cream of mushroom soup with pancetta was extraordinary. Our entrees-the salmon and the Jarrettown chicken-looked as if they came from a culinary magazine. The beautiful appearances of these two dishes were equally matched by how great that they tasted....out of this world. In addition the entrees arrived at the appropriate temperatures which is really important to us. We capped the meal off with with raisin bread pudding with vanilla ice cream.“

“Is the price worth the taste? $17 cheesesteak with fried onions and American cheese (not standard cooper sharp) as I’m old school, all on a seeded roll. Pound for pound, you are getting some fantastically seasoned steak, and a lot of it!
Listen, people are going to say what their favorite steak shop is, this one is close to my house, but I’d still travel to Dalessandro’s , but this place is pretty much just as, if not better than Dalessandro’s. It’s a pricey sandwich, and I think it comes out to the same amount of 2 Dalessandro’s sandwiches, so there’s that statistical difference.
My pictures are from my sandwich today, 9-21-2025, lunch.
I ate half, split with my wife, and hulled out the other, then filled a Pyrex 7 cup bowl as seen in the picture, and that’s a lot! I have to say the this place edges out Dalessandro’s because you can sit down and eat at the tables or counter. Dalessandro’s used to have a space to eat inside, but since COVID, have not reopened it which is a shame. I have not had a pizza from this place , but I will.“
