“My family and I’ve been here a handful of times. We’ve enjoyed birthdays and time with friends. The food is delicious and tastes like home made Italian cuisine. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, while the service is timely and our servers were always attentive, whether we were outside or indoors. I highly recommend this spot to friends and will be back for another date night/special occasion!“

“The host was welcoming and warm, setting a friendly tone for the day. They made us feel valued as soon as we walked in. Our server, Dawn, checked in at just the right moments, ensuring we had everything we needed, like refilling drinks before we even asked. We felt completely taken care of thanks to Manager Leonara's proactive approach to ensuring our needs were met throughout the day. We are definitely coming back again with our 5 kids. “I love supporting local businesses and captain's choice is on of my go to spots for beer or a seafood platter. He definitely has great prices on beer. He also sells wine as well as other alcohol drinks and cigarettes. My only complaint is that when you order the fried flounder platter they always give such a tiny amount of fries not even a handful of fries. I wish they would give you more fries with the meal. Also there the only place in the Mayfair area in my knowledge that sells cups of Philadelphia water ice all year around which I absolutely love.“

“It's in a difficult spot, but the owner is magnificent. I have been eating there for 20 years and the food quality has not changed.
Parking: There is always street parking. And it's usually about a half hour wait. But good things come to those who wait. ;)“

“Celebrated my son’s 21st Birthday here with about 30 of his friends and family. We had a big section of the deck to ourselves. They had plenty of different options to fit our needs. We had a great time, everyone raved how good the food was and our server kept the drinks coming! It was a perfect way to celebrate!“

“Ok so, service was friendly and fellow taking orders was very patient and polite. I ordered the Gumbo which seemed rushed. It had no true flavor. I also ordered crab cakes which were a huge disappointment because i expected lump cakes but it was more like store bought heavily breaded cakes. Finally my friend had the Alfredo and he enjoyed it but i did not. Sauce was watery and didn’t smell at all like Parmesan. In their defense i should have likely kept is crabs and shrimp. If i try them again that’s what i will do!“

“Never disappointed after years of going there. Had 2 orders of shrimp and chips and large order of crinkle cut fries to share with my son. The food was hot and the order was ready quickly. From ordering to receiving orders was not even 7 Mins. I don't have any pics , devoured it hot in the car, before even leaving the parking spot.

“I haven't had the poke bowls as I'm not a big raw fish person. But the ramen is pretty darn good. I've had all but 1 flavor(tonkatsu). my favorite so far is the tan tan flavor😋😋😋. the prices are decent for ramen same as going to Chinatown. Def give it a try!“

“First of all, I just want to say, I lived in this neighborhood for most of my life and this is the first time going to this take out seafood restaurant... It was the best fried seafood I ever had! Hands down!!!!There's another sit-down seafood restaurant not far from this location that I've been going to for many years. It's just okay. Bralow's is 10 times better for fried seafood and their homemade New England clam chowder is outstanding!!As long as the quality is consistent (They've been around forever so they must be doing something right!), they will be my go to take out restaurant for fresh, fried seafood from now on!!Good job, Bralow's!“

“This is not a sit down establishment. However the owner is very friendly and I like the service. The seafood is nice and hot when it's done and is enough to for two meals. You can get fried or broiled, of course I like it fried.

“Just tried this restaurant...very pretty inside...service by Stefan was impeccable...he recommended dishes and explained the spice level...fish Murchi was delicious as were the pumpkin lamb and lamb with onions and peppers...all 3 desserts are worth trying...will definitely return to try new dishes“
