Yesterday, when my wife went in to pick up a delicious stromboli the owner said, "I think I have your daughter's doll." For him to have kept this doll for weeks is so touching. “I am a local truck driver. As I finished my last delivery almost 2 hours from home. I google “subs near me”. This place popped up. Wasn’t too far out of my way. And I didn’t have a trailer so I went off to find this place. (Small shops are the best in my opinion), the Italian sub on a fresh baked roll was amazing. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area. “Just ordered from Marcos today got a large pizza and 12 hot wings. Wings were great and pizza is pretty good. They said it would take 45 mins and they got it out to me in dover in about 30 mins. Overall would definitely recommend this place.“

“Pizza By Alberto’s It's been 3 years since we stopped by simply because we moved to another state. While we were back in town, we have to stop by our favorite Pizza place to see if they still had the best pizza in this area. We arrived there about 1:20 pm on Thursday. They were not full and only had one other booth with someone in it. The place was neat, clean, and smelled great. In fact, I believe they were cleaning the kitchen as we walked in. From what I could see it was spotless. Our waitress came over introduced herself as Jace and took our drink orders. We ordered water, tea, and a beer. She then took our food order which was the Alberto's Special. This Pizza has your choice of 8 toppings. We ordered the Peperoni, Ham, Green Peppers, Mushrooms, Onions, Bacon, Extra Cheese, Black Olives. Every time we go there, we always ordered this Pizza special. We also ordered two side salads and an ordered of garlic bread. Our salads came out fast and were good as was the garlic bread and the beer was cold and tasted great. About the time we were done with our salads the Pizza came out. It looked very good and tons of toppings. When I bit into the Pizza it was very hot and the toppings were so good, and the crust was done perfect. I can't tell you how much I loved this, Pizza. I knew then I was giving it 5 stars. “A large group of us came from out of town today to try this place and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent and the selection was plentiful. It was a great atmosphere and I honestly wish it was closer to where we are from so we could visit it often. The staff was also super friendly. If you are in the area, I recommend checking it out. 🙂“

“Food here doesn’t get better. We got a variety of items including the bacon cheese fry, nachos, and margarita pizza; everything excelled standards. Portions were generous and filling, and the taste was just out of this world. Service was slightly lacking, BUT, it was a busy Friday night so this was to be expected in some capacity. “Overall the food was good but I have one issue. So I have been here twice and got curly fries and pizza last time and pizza and a cheesesteak tonight. Both times pizza was amazing and reminds me of where I grew up in Bucks County. Fries were too crunchy and lacked flavor. Cheesesteak tonight was good but the roll was too doughy. Recommendation is try a roll more crispy. Outside of that, great pizza and great service. Just a few things to think about.“

“Visiting York from out of town. I had an inch to eat some Stromboli like one does in Pennsylvania. We were lucky enough Shakey Jakes was open until 11. My team and I visited and most of us ordered a Boli. We were told a small would feed one person. So I ordered a large. Holy Stromboli, this thing was huge. I only got through half but I brought it home so I can enjoy it for the next two days. It was so good I felt like it was sent from heaven above. This was EASILY the best food I have ever eaten in Pennsylvania. I can't recommend Shakey Jakes enough. Can't wait to go there again in 3 days when I finally finish my large Boli.“
