“Came here to get a bite to eat while we were waiting for our room to be ready. Glad we did, everything was on point and then some. The food was delicious and the service awesome. “It has been a long while since I have been so driven as to write a review for a Hawley restaurant. The place speaks for itself.... for a restaurant with very little parking , you will find it FULL with reservations required. We have eaten there several times on a Thursday night during the early bird special menu and I highly recommend it . On a scale of 1-10 I give them a 14. I was referred to the Ridge and have in turn referred many others. A smaller , very comfortable place with 100 year old victorian architecture and some of the best food and broad selection of entrees that I have experienced anywhere in a long time.“

“My wife and I recently stopped at Lena's Café on Route 652 for lunch, and overall we had a very enjoyable experience.
I ordered the Reuben on rye, while my wife chose the turkey Reuben. Both sandwiches were very good and served with chips. I decided to upgrade to French fries with my meal, and I'm glad I did. The fries were absolutely outstanding—without question some of the best I've ever had.
My Reuben was huge and packed with flavor. My wife's turkey Reuben was more average in size but equally tasty. For drinks, I ordered a Diet Pepsi and my wife requested a glass of water. One surprise was that the water was listed at $2.75 on the bill. I wasn't sure of the cost of the Diet Pepsi.
The only minor issue during our visit was with drink service. About halfway through my meal, I asked for a refill on my Diet Pepsi, but it didn't arrive until the check was brought to the table, and it was served in a to-go cup. By that point, I no longer needed it, so I left it behind.
That small hiccup aside, the food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the fries alone are worth a return visit. We enjoyed our lunch and would certainly stop by Lena's Café again when we're in the area.“

“On a weekend getaway in Hawley this past weekend and came across this hidden gem breakfast place - Laurel's Hometown Cafe in Honesdale! Fantastic service, food and hospitality. Christina our server was awesome as well as the chef. Awesome breakfast, generous portions and priced just right for every budget. I have already recommended this cafe to friends that visit the area and I will keep spreading the word. Thank you for making our morning a great one.“

“I dont why I stopped coming here. (Probably cause we had a young daughter) My husband took me for my birthday dinner here and everything was so good. We got wings and a giant pretzel for appetizers. The wings are always so good! All 3 of us loved our entrees and had enough to bring home for lunch the next day. We will definitely be back more often.“

“My husband and I have been vacationing here in the Poconos for about 10 years. We are from Maryland. We discovered Cakes and Scones several years ago and ever since, we make it a point to go to our favorite bakery, Cakes & Scones! Always have had the best scones, cakes (esp the chocolate lava cake!!), coffee, quiches, and pies!!!We bought a blueberry crumb pie this year and it was loaded with blueberries and not too sweet, but sweet enough! It was delicious to say the least!! One reviewer complained that they did not have doughnuts—I would refer that said person to check out Dunkin Doughnuts!!Tere and Andy are wonderful bakers, pleasant to talk to and most helpful. We always look forward when we come to the Poconos and check out their latest bakery item!! We have never been disappointed!!“

“The crab rangoons here are some of my favorites around! We take advantage of most opportunities (since moving away) to get Yopo when we're back in the area. The Chinese restaurants closer to us just aren't quite as good as we're used to with Yopo.“

“We just can’t get our timing right!! Always stealing away to the Waymart, off-season. We’ve HEARD, that they have an incredible outdoor grill setup…We’ve HEARD, that the Wrangler BBQ pit was custom made in Indiana…We’ve HEARD, that the cherry and applewood smoked meats are on display under their pavilion….But We’ve only been able to TASTE their winter options; an award-winning tray of Old Fashion square (sweeter sauce, two cheese blend), a toasted Cuban with seasoned gravy fries and a crock of French onion soup to boot. It really hit the spot as we split town for the Catskills, and began our journey with some NEPA non-negotiables. Guess we'll have to find our way back once the winter weather breaks.“

“We are in town for a wedding and chose this place because they make a vegan pizza. It's not an after thought or something to placate the one vegan friend in the group. It's thoughtful and delicious and filling. There's no fake cheese, just all whole ingredients. My nonvegan husband really liked the carrot puree. Definitely will be back when we're in the area.“

“This is a great place with great food and service. My girlfriend and I went here for our weekly date night. It was our first time here and we loved it. Our waitress was great and our food was excellent 👌 with a great atmosphere. We sat outside on the deck which over looks a small pond and has some scenic veiws. “John’s Italian is excellent! The pizza is absolutely delicious with the perfect crispy crust. The Stromboli is huge, crunchy on the outside, and packed with flavor. The service is always friendly and welcoming.
What made our visit extra special was the kindness of the staff. My two kids each donated a dollar to support autism, and the ladies working there surprised them with two huge cookies as a thank-you. Such a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot to them. Great food, wonderful people, and outstanding customer service. We’ll definitely be back!“

“China House in Hawley serves up delicious, fresh Chinese takeout. They nailed my order exactly as requested, paying great attention to detail. The only downside is that they are strictly cash-only. It’s a bit inconvenient in a digital world, so I really wish they’d accept cards or mobile payments. That said, the food is fantastic.“

“We had a lovely dinner tonight. The view was spectacular overlooking the falls, and the food was delicious. It was a great experience being able to try so many small plates for only $8 each. Our server, Xavier, was so friendly and made great suggestions. (He didn’t judge us for ordering so many small plates). :-)“

“The entire evening was incredible. The authentic German food reminded me of grandma’s. The owners are welcoming and make you feel at home. Not to mention 2 floors of antique gems. I’m sorry we didn’t discover this sooner but certainly will be back.“
