“The entire evening was incredible. The authentic German food reminded me of grandma’s. The owners are welcoming and make you feel at home. Not to mention 2 floors of antique gems. I’m sorry we didn’t discover this sooner but certainly will be back.“

“This was definitely an experience my husband and I needed. It was such a nice place, very big, very spacious. We stayed in the Cove Harbour suite and it was huge. I loved the star lights on the ceiling. The bathroom was huge with a double vanity. Heart shaped hot tub was so cute. I found the toilet a little oddly placed and the standing shower small in such a huge bathroom. We had rose petals added to our package and it was sweet but I expected a little more roses than what was laid out. The sparkling champagne was so delicious, we ended up ordering a 2nd one. The first champagne was in the fridge but no glasses were left for us so we drank straight from the bottle. The 2nd champagne we ordered delivered to the room, came with champagne flutes but 1 was broken so we didn't end up using it. We had complimentary dinner/breakfast included with our stay. Dinner was ok, didn't meet our expectations. I ordered the Grilled Seared Salmon and my husband ordered the Lamb Osso Buco. Salmon was how I liked my fish to be cooked but was so dry. My husband barely finished his dinner. Breakfast was great though, lots of options. Our server was great, very nice, funny, and very attentive. We also went to Spooners for a quick lunch snack and to play some games, it was enjoyable, played billiards, ping pong, connect 4. Nothing crazy and it was free. The arcade games you did have to pay for but they weren't expensive, it's like $1 a game. We took a peek at the gym but it was bare with just a few machines. It wasn't as lively as I had expected it to be but considering we only stayed 1 night, I'm sure there was so much more to see. This is definitely a place to reconnect with your significant other and just enjoy each other's company.“

“It has been a long while since I have been so driven as to write a review for a Hawley restaurant. The place speaks for itself.... for a restaurant with very little parking , you will find it FULL with reservations required. We have eaten there several times on a Thursday night during the early bird special menu and I highly recommend it . On a scale of 1-10 I give them a 14. I was referred to the Ridge and have in turn referred many others. A smaller , very comfortable place with 100 year old victorian architecture and some of the best food and broad selection of entrees that I have experienced anywhere in a long time.“

“I am hoping there has been a mistake with my order. If not, it seems the cook may not be able to distinguish between pho and hu tieu. The pho lacks the characteristic flavors; there is no hoisin sauce, lemon, basil or mint leaves. Given the overwhelmingly positive reviews, we all decided to order pho. We sincerely hope the other dishes are not similar..“

“My wife and I recently stopped at Lena's Café on Route 652 for lunch, and overall we had a very enjoyable experience.

I ordered the Reuben on rye, while my wife chose the turkey Reuben. Both sandwiches were very good and served with chips. I decided to upgrade to French fries with my meal, and I'm glad I did. The fries were absolutely outstanding—without question some of the best I've ever had.

My Reuben was huge and packed with flavor. My wife's turkey Reuben was more average in size but equally tasty. For drinks, I ordered a Diet Pepsi and my wife requested a glass of water. One surprise was that the water was listed at $2.75 on the bill. I wasn't sure of the cost of the Diet Pepsi.

The only minor issue during our visit was with drink service. About halfway through my meal, I asked for a refill on my Diet Pepsi, but it didn't arrive until the check was brought to the table, and it was served in a to-go cup. By that point, I no longer needed it, so I left it behind.

That small hiccup aside, the food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the fries alone are worth a return visit. We enjoyed our lunch and would certainly stop by Lena's Café again when we're in the area.“

“On a weekend getaway in Hawley this past weekend and came across this hidden gem breakfast place - Laurel's Hometown Cafe in Honesdale! Fantastic service, food and hospitality. Christina our server was awesome as well as the chef. Awesome breakfast, generous portions and priced just right for every budget. “Driving through the area and stopped here because we saw the cool purple building and there was ample parking. Didn’t know what to expect but the food was all so good and home cooked. “Great little food joint. Small but personal. Breakfast tasted GREAT even though the cheesesteak omelette was made with roast beef. Only “real” complaint was the server. Asked for a glass of water….. I’m still waiting. And extra butter means more than one. But I would have been happy with getting just one. And seriously, with the napkins with That much food ?? Like I said, good food. I’ll be back. I’ll just have to speak slower“

“We are in town for a wedding and chose this place because they make a vegan pizza. It's not an after thought or something to placate the one vegan friend in the group. It's thoughtful and delicious and filling. There's no fake cheese, just all whole ingredients. My nonvegan husband really liked the carrot puree. Definitely will be back when we're in the area.“

“This is a great place with great food and service. My girlfriend and I went here for our weekly date night. It was our first time here and we loved it. Our waitress was great and our food was excellent 👌 with a great atmosphere. We sat outside on the deck which over looks a small pond and has some scenic veiws. We’ve HEARD, that they have an incredible outdoor grill setup…We’ve HEARD, that the Wrangler BBQ pit was custom made in Indiana…We’ve HEARD, that the cherry and applewood smoked meats are on display under their pavilion….But We’ve only been able to TASTE their winter options; an award-winning tray of Old Fashion square (sweeter sauce, two cheese blend), a toasted Cuban with seasoned gravy fries and a crock of French onion soup to boot. “Beautiful rustic place that is part of the Ledges hotel in Hawley PA. It’s nestled down in behind the Silk Mill complex off Route 6. It’s git a great selection of small plates (tapas) and larger shareable dishes. Great patio seating and additional outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the view of the waterfall. Food and drinks were great. Definitely a gem 💎!“
