“The entire evening was incredible. The authentic German food reminded me of grandma’s. The owners are welcoming and make you feel at home. Not to mention 2 floors of antique gems. I’m sorry we didn’t discover this sooner but certainly will be back.“

The place speaks for itself.... for a restaurant with very little parking , you will find it FULL with reservations required. We have eaten there several times on a Thursday night during the early bird special menu and I highly recommend it . On a scale of 1-10 I give them a 14. I was referred to the Ridge and have in turn referred many others. A smaller , very comfortable place with 100 year old victorian architecture and some of the best food and broad selection of entrees that I have experienced anywhere in a long time.“

“Early morning travel from Lake Ariel, PA, to Calicoon, NY, and I was hoping to find a place to get some coffee and food along the way. Spotted Lena's at an intersection I needed to navigate and (seemingly instinctively) I immediately entered the parking area. Lucky for me, because it was everything I needed it to be. There's an old-style counter to sit at and plenty of tables in the dining area. The complete opposite of a chain restaurant (thankfully), Lena's served me up a real American breakfast with plenty of hot coffee. Lena's isn't just a restaurant name, she actually is there running the place with at least 5 other employees. They had daily specials and the serve lunch also. We discovered Cakes and Scones several years ago and ever since, we make it a point to go to our favorite bakery, Cakes & Scones! “We are in town for a wedding and chose this place because they make a vegan pizza. It's not an after thought or something to placate the one vegan friend in the group. “Our first time trying this place. While this would be easy to miss driving by the menu is surprisingly diverse. The main dishes of special beef and the shrimp, chicken and beef and garlic sauce were well seasoned, unique in flavor and well spiced and delicious. The boneless spareribs also nice smoky flavor. The hot and sour soup was a pass as the broth lacked any traditional rich flavor and was overly thickened. The place is primary take out, with only a couple small tables. They are cash or check only.“

The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful — the atmosphere is warm and romantic, and the view is truly breathtaking. It’s one of those places where you want to sit a little longer just to enjoy the surroundings.

The food was delicious from beginning to end, and our server, Ashley, was fantastic. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the entire evening.

But what really made this experience unforgettable was the manager, Shayan. At the end of the night, we had a very difficult time finding a ride back to where we were staying. After trying different options and realizing we were basically stranded, Shayan went far beyond anything we could have expected — she personally drove us back in her own car.

I have honestly never experienced that level of kindness and genuine hospitality from a restaurant manager before. She didn’t have to do it, but she cared enough to make sure we got back safely. That says so much about her and about the kind of place this is.

Beautiful location, incredible view, delicious food, wonderful service, and most importantly, genuinely good people. Thank you Ashley and especially Shayan for turning an already beautiful evening into a memory we will never forget.

“John’s Italian is excellent! The pizza is absolutely delicious with the perfect crispy crust. The Stromboli is huge, crunchy on the outside, and packed with flavor. The service is always friendly and welcoming.

What made our visit extra special was the kindness of the staff. My two kids each donated a dollar to support autism, and the ladies working there surprised them with two huge cookies as a thank-you. Such a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot to them. Great food, wonderful people, and outstanding customer service. We’ll definitely be back!“
