“I ordered a cake for a birthday party and was not disappointed! The 12" round cake was HUGE and could definitely serve 35-45 people as stated on their website.
I chose the Peanut Butter Symphony flavor and it was delicious. The combination of chocolate cake and peanut butter mousse was perfect. I can't wait to try some of the other flavors.
The staff were very friendly and even carried the cake out to my car to help me load it (so I wouldn't drop it opening the door).“

“This was something like my 3rd visit. It is an absolute must when coming to Amish Country. Make it a jumping off place for your exploring. The baked goods are amazing, the service is friendly, efficient and well thought out and the ambiance lets you begin to feel that you have really stepped away from your busy, modern life. “I suppose everyone has a right to their own opinion, but I think the 4.4 rating on this place is an absolute travesty. I had never tried shoo-fly pie before visiting PA this autumn, but I made it a point to try a couple of different ones during my visit, and while all of them were quite yummy, for me Dutch Haven was head and shoulders and belly-button ahead of all others. For anyone who loves shoo-fly pie, I'd be pretty surprised if you didn't love theirs; and for anyone who wants to try it for the first time, I HIGHLY recommend making Dutch Haven the one you try. I only wish it weren't so much more expensive to have it shipped vs. buying it on site (but that's pretty par for the course for shipping food items, so disappointing as it is, I do totally get it). Oh well, I'll just have to figure out a good time to make my way back at some point, and do a bit more stocking up next time around! :D“

Not only was the design perfect, but the cake itself was the most delicious I’ve ever had! It was so moist, perfectly balanced—not overly sweet, just incredibly tasty. We even put some in the fridge, and four days later, it was still just as moist and delicious!

After years of having so much burnt espresso it made my day to finally have a properly pulled shot of espresso in my latte. The service was great, the young lady who took my order told me all about some great historic landmarks to check out while I’m in the area and made me feel so welcomed to Lancaster.

“Martins makes excellent, original hard pretzels. You can watch them being made at times when you go in the store. They supplied us with tins filled with pretzels for our customers. Thank you everyone at Martins for continuing on the tradition of pretzel making!“

“A must stop for anyone in Lancaster. I would consider this a hidden gem. If you are traveling to Lancaster and want a delicious sticky bun, skip every bakery except Mr. Sticky! They are huge, taste amazing and the price is actually very fair. I went to a Cinnabon in the mall the other day and paid $7 for a cinnamon bun! I instantly wished I went to Mr. Sticky.“

“The journey to this bake shop is a story.

We drive into an Amish farm and saw no cars parked, nor a sign telling us where the bakery is. We drive deeper into the barn, almost knocking over the family dog. There were some dogs in cages barking at us, not sure if it was to welcome us, or to warn us.

We saw a guy who seem to work there, or owns the place. He told us that we went too far in, and said “turn around, it’s the red shed”.

We turned the car around, again, looking around to see which of those could be the bakery. We saw a hand written board “open”.

We go in. Shelves were almost empty except for a few trays of whoopie pies and some fry pies in the refrigerator. No one was inside except a box saying “self service”. “Interesting” we thought. Never have we seen such an establishment that was based on trust.

OH yes, how were the pies you say? SO GOOD. Just gotta bake them real good for a little. The whoopie pies are also really moist and cream not coyingly sweet.“

I ordered a six pack of assorted cookies. The order shipped right away and was at my door within in couple of days. The cookies arrived carefully packaged and everything got to me in one piece. I was about to place another order and noticed that some cookies are only available if you subscribe to their cookie club. The monthly cost is a bit steep, but I figured I'd try it for the minimum three months. Once reached check out and saw that it was going to cost almost two hundred dollars for the order, I immediately hit the brakes and decided that I couldn't justify paying that much money for cookies. Especially because I have no way to know if I would even like the flavors without trying them first. Can your average customer really afford this? I'm still giving you five stars because your cookies are incredible. But please consider allowing customers to order any of your flavors without needing to subscribe.“

“Hands down the best, really handcrafted coffee I've had in a VERY long time. The guy running the show recommended trying the house chai, and I was blown away. I didn't know chai could be that good. Also had a cappuccino, and I was just as impressed. The owner(?) was super friendly, helpful, and kind with everything. It's a bit off the beaten track if you're driving, but I recommend finding this place and stopping in!“

“While I like most of Stoltzfus’s items, I’ve been disappointed in their chicken salad. It used to be a staple in our home but seems like they’ve changed the recipe. It’s now so runny with mayo (or whatever they use) that it plops right off our sandwiches. They’ve also seem to cut back on the celery which added a nice contrasting crunch. Please bring back the old recipe.“
