“The journey to this bake shop is a story.

We drive into an Amish farm and saw no cars parked, nor a sign telling us where the bakery is. We drive deeper into the barn, almost knocking over the family dog. There were some dogs in cages barking at us, not sure if it was to welcome us, or to warn us.

We saw a guy who seem to work there, or owns the place. He told us that we went too far in, and said “turn around, it’s the red shed”.

We turned the car around, again, looking around to see which of those could be the bakery. We saw a hand written board “open”.

We go in. Shelves were almost empty except for a few trays of whoopie pies and some fry pies in the refrigerator. No one was inside except a box saying “self service”. “Interesting” we thought. Never have we seen such an establishment that was based on trust.

OH yes, how were the pies you say? SO GOOD. Just gotta bake them real good for a little. The whoopie pies are also really moist and cream not coyingly sweet.“

“While I like most of Stoltzfus’s items, I’ve been disappointed in their chicken salad. It used to be a staple in our home but seems like they’ve changed the recipe. It’s now so runny with mayo (or whatever they use) that it plops right off our sandwiches. They’ve also seem to cut back on the celery which added a nice contrasting crunch. Please bring back the old recipe.“

“Honeysuckle sweets is truly exceptional. I found her online to make cookies for my baby shower and they were not only beautiful and SO GOOD. The attention to detail is astounding and her ability to bring your vision to life is incredibly unique. They were a huge hit. It’s been a year and people still bring them up to me! My baby just turned one and I purchased another batch of cookies to celebrate her under the sea birthday party and again they were spectacular. Highly recommend honeysuckle sweets for custom cookies. “Spending three days in Lancaster, Passenger Roastery & Coffee Bar was by far the best latte and pastry I had while exploring the county. Popping in on a July Thursday morning, here's my experience.

1) Coffee: The menu is simple. They have the basics, but that's how you know it's quality coffee. My latte was perfectly balanced, creamy, and highlighting the espresso in it.

2) Food: Their ham and cheese turnover is excellent. They warm it up for you. There are fennel and a few other things on top making it unique.

3) Service: It's excellent! Both baristas were kind, efficient, and warm.

4) Space: It's small, but beautiful. There are a few seats inside and out and a restroom inside.“
